Shooters is now under new ownership, and you can tell the difference! The menu has been scaled down (no longer thousands of choices, was way too much), and the service has done a complete 180. Waitresses and managers were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Please ignore all the old reviews. The new owner has done a wonderful job turning this place around!
Review Source:They advertise themselves as a sports bar with a 5-star dining experience. Â The first part, I'd agree with. Â The second part...maybe a bit optimistic. Â
Food (buffalo chicken wrap, lobster mac and cheese) was fine. Â Nothing to write home about, but no problems per se. Â
Full bar, maybe a dozen beers on tap. Â Fine.
They have a big happy hour largely on the strength of the, er, talent they staff the bar with. Â But, as a result, it's a full-on sausage hang. Â Lecherous middle aged guys two-deep at the bar ogling ill-clad co-eds is something I gave up a couple years after college.
***NOTE: Â This review was written about the Farmington location. Â I have no idea why it was moved here.***
The food was OK, about what you'd expect from a "bar and grill" type of place. Â We got a panini, a pizza (suprisingly good for this kind of place) and a Buffalo-wing style sandwich. Â If you haven't been to Buffalo for wings, it will be fine for you, but for me it was kindof bland. Â "Tossed in wing sauce" turned out to be more like "lightly spritzed with wing sauce," and the "bleepin' hot" sauce was certainly bleepin' salty, but not all that spicy. Â
The service was terrible. Â We waited a long time for everything from entrees to take-out boxes. Â Two hours total, and when we got there the place was nearly empty. Â The waitress offered a shy giggle and said, "We're still working out the kinks, sorry!" Â So, the service wasn't what it should be, and yet I still paid full price for everything. Â There ought to be a "working out the kinks" discount. Â Maybe they can put up a sign in front eventually that says, "It's OK to Come Back! Â Kinks Finally Worked Out!"
The TV's are huge and everywhere, so I would go back to watch a game and have some beers, especially if I wasn't in a hurry to eat.
