Went in for dinner Thursday night, it was AMAZING!  The parking (valet) was simple, we had a reservation and got seated right away had cocktails in hand within minutes.  Our server (Craig) was super attentive and gave awesome recommendations.  We shared an app, then had a salad that the server suggested....it was very simple but probably one of the best salads that I have ever had. I ordered a curried quinoa for my entree and my friend had the short ribs.....we were delighted!  Our server also recommended wines that matched perfectly with each course.  We inquired about the dessert room and then we were given a ticket to Bern's dessert room....aka....heaven!  It was a phenomenal experience....the food, service and wine were all to die for.  I will DEFINITELY be back, and I will surely recommend this restaurant to anyone. 5 stars!!!

I just couldn't live with myself after giving this Tampa favorite only three stars.  So we went back to Sideberns to celebrate my mom's birthday with a big group.  We were treated like royalty which was refreshing (not being treated like royalty, I'm not a brat) but not being treated like a waste of space was nice.

Management reserved a table by the bar for our party of 8 to enjoy their incredible happy hour and we were moved to a table in the dining area when we were ready for dinner.  Everything was delicious and it was fun to splurge for good food, and amazing service.  Our table tried all of the cocktails and every single one was incredibly well crafted.  My least favorite drink normally is rum and coke and Sideberns had one made with their house made cola.  It was my favorite drink of the evening.  Kudos.  Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and seemed to really like his job.

Sideberns is pricey but it was money well spent.  Five deserved stars.

I went to SideBerns to meet up with friends for happy hour and had a great time. The place has great ambience and the service was excellent. Parking was easy, they have a valet that took care of car. Inside is a modern and sophisticated décor, real classy. It definitely has that south Tampa feel in regards to young, chic and hip. Drinks were reasonable priced at happy hour from 5 to 7pm, beers were at $3 and wine and cocktails were priced at $5 and $6. The only food that was ordered was an artisan cheese plate which was excellent. The food is served and small portions and it is pricey, but the quality and artistry of the food is exceptional. I would recommend SideBerns to anyone who enjoys a sophisticated atmosphere, and enjoys food that is more art than just a standard meal.

Five stars all the way! Their food, wine selection, service and ambiance make it 5 stars. I love coming here. My favorite is actually all the different types of meats and cheeses you can eat beforehand. Being from Germany, it brings back a lot of memories of how we used to sit around in the summer with family and have endless cold cut meats and cheeses. My mom was in heaven....and me too!

Every time the wife and I come here we have a time to remember whether it's a formal dinner for our anniversary where we blow $250 or sitting at the bar and redeeming an online deal we purchased and spending $60.

The cocktails are amazing, the small tapas style items are as imaginative as they are tasty.  The entrees and dessert are phenomenal also.  This is a can't miss destination restaurant with impeccable service.

The last time I was at SideBern's was the first couple of years it was open. My husband and I decided to come back for our anniversary, and I am so glad that we did. We sat at the bar for a drink during happy hour, and had great service. The bartender answered all of our questions and kept our drinks topped off.  Our table was ready early, so we headed over to our table to check out the menu. We were tempted to get the tasting plate, but decided we both weren't hungry enough to go for it.

I got a duck entree of some sort, and my husband got a fish entree. Both were incredibly delicious. The service was outstanding, and the vibe there was very welcoming. I will definitely be back again for another special occasion. Its a bit pricy to eat there too often, but is perfect if you have something to celebrate!

the bartender needs a refresher course that everyone should be treated equal or maybe he thinks hes irreplaceable (maybe a nephew or grandson with an air about him) it wasn't quite busy and its apparent that when friends come in he prefers to chat them up FOR QUITE A LONG PERIOD OF TIME I'm sitting there with an empty glass and hoping for some water to go with my meal..many long pauses till i got his attention guess he assumed i wasn't a regular or didn't  look like i had money to spare for his tip i didn't get the service i was expecting to get at this well advertised restaurant .let me also point out when a couple came in that was well dressed and knew him by name let me tell you the royal service came out and there asses were kissed not only by the bartender but by the chef himself..in addition the food might be great as well as the ambiance but what brings it all together is service.being attentive to your customers is number one. maybe he should go to Flemming's for happy hour and get a lesson.ATTENTION OWNER AND OR MANAGER YOUR BARTENDER IS ABOVE HIMSELF ..NEWSFLASH. OR AM I THE ONLY ONE

I'm going to write this as if I'm expecting a Flagship class restaurant.  Yes, it's not Berns, but the reason it exists is to NOT be Berns and still deliver an amazing experience.  It mostly delivers, and with some stipulations I like the place.

The bartender watches people more than the drinks, and doesn't have his internal timing and social graces down to disengage and check on his quieter or newer clients proactively after the first order.  Glasses stay empty longer than expected, but it looked like a endemic problem -- there's probably a wise policy of not feeding this particular crowd too many cocktails too readily, counselor.

Mixology and skill level are what's expected at this price range and setting, although why does no bar in Tampa seem to have actual beakers for stirred cocktails?  Still, high marks but with some room for improvement.  Prohibition era cocktails seem to be a specialty.

Table service is personable, professional, and attentive.  Full marks given.

Interesting and deep wine list, but again, that's expected at this level.

Over several visits I've had the tasting menu, two entrees, several happy hour offerings, and dessert.  Rather than go into dish specifics, here's what I noticed overall:  The cuisine is beautiful, plated well, and the ingredients are impressive.  By all accounts I should be raving about this place along with the others...

The charcuterie tasting appetizer with a good syrah (yes, they exist) is damn near perfect.

But there's something missing.  I pull away from the kiss, and it's just not there.

Minor technical flaws:  Broad, artistically exciting smears of sauce were dried out by the time I received my dish, so the meat (elk, slightly overcooked) had to go without much of its compliment.  Suckling pig was almost deconstructed in its presentation, but the skin was not... there, taste wise.  Oysters are hiding under a gremolata that I would like the option of asking for on the side, or removed if possible.  The scallops outpace the halibut for hot appetizer, but both show up mild-mannered rather than being an amuse or invocation.

So, I'm not in love.  But, I'm not staying away.  Fun, pretty, well-spoken, and maybe it will grow on me over a few more attempts, but for now, it's... good.

    Thus, three stars.

Tempted to give a three start but only because I am spoiled on Bern's. Which is not to say anything negative about SideBern's, but rather, I am spoiled and my expectations have gone up. I do, however realize my problem (that is the first step of 12, right) and happily give 4 stars. Hip, trendy, cool, fashionable, and all the other requisite Tampa descriptors, but without the muscled up $100,000 car parked outside an apartment patrons one would expect at a popular Tampa spot (maybe they cannot afford because of the car payment). Excellent wine menu, professional, subdued (a good thing) service, and interesting but not over the top menu offerings. The Octopus appetizer suggested by the server was very good, but know that the squid ink sauce is strong. Overall a great experience. We "dollared up" because of some really good wine. Happy to come back.

The food quality did not match the cost or service.  Quite simply it does not taste good.  We tried most items on the menu in our party and no one was happy with what we had.  Not impressed

This place is a gem - SideBern's provides an opportunity for the creativity and playful ingredients to be explored in the kitchen - and we all get to enjoy!! I had the Elk and it was fantastic - the wine selection is great as is the selection of single malts.

If you are not looking for the Bern's experience but still want exceptional service and outstanding food - enjoy an evening at SideBern's

The ahi tuna I had was the best I have ever had! Every thing on the plate complimented the dish well. The waiter selected the perfect wine which highlighted the best of my meal.. It's a must go if you are looking for a fine dinning experience

I met up with a friend at Sidebern's for happy hour after hearing they had a solid happy hour menu. I guess I was imagining this place was a tiny extension that was 90% bar--but this place is BIG--going as far as booths that seat 8 people (you have to remember I'm visiting from NY so anything bigger than a shoebox has me Ooing and Aaing). Anyway, I was worried that if I came late all the bar seats would be taken for happy hour--but not only was there plenty of room--the place didn't pick up until after 6.

We tried most of the small plates on the happy hour menu (I believe their were 6 options at $6 a pop). They were standard fare, but put together very well. The cheese plate as well as the grilled peppers were solid. The lettuce-wrapped fish was very refreshing, but not very flavorful. The cocktails were all classics ($5 a pop)--they had one cocktail for every major spirit (vodka, gin, whiskey, tequila, etc) and they were quite tasty. Overall it was a solid menu and a great ambiance at the curvacious bar, but I'd also say it was nothing to write home about. Judging from other reviews it appears that the small plates change often, so that's definitely a reason to return.

I was a little perturbed that a restaurant that is an asset of one of Tampa's most praised restaurants had such poor service. There were 4 or 5 people behind the curved bar and we pretty much had to flag someone down every time we wanted another drink or even a refill on the glass of water. Some of the bartenders got locked into conversation with older patrons, and I almost got the impression that because we were younger they thought we wouldn't tip well, wouldn't order a lot, and wouldn't be worth their time. I don't know if I'm projecting, but being almost ignored was not worth the affordable drinks and small plates.

Overall, a fun experience and a nice little date spot (or place to go with co-workers after work). I would definitely come back for the price point if the service doesn't keep me away...

Focal point of area dining. Sexy look inside and out, dynamic menu that almost certainly will feature some things you have to wiki for. Best cocktails in the area, or damn close. There's even a happy hour menu that's affordable by my broke student standards. Stop putting it off and enjoy an evening here.

Sideberns is truly on another level! The creativity, the diversity, the ingredients, the presentation in every dish wasn't short of absolutely AMAZING to the fullest extent of the word. My wife and I decided to do the tasting menu so that could taste all dishes available. We had a total of 12 plates and I mean no exaggeration that every single one of them was mind blowing delicious, there was not a single bite that night that I did not blew me away as soon as it made contact with my taste buds. I just never had food THAT great in Florida before. at $75 per person for the tasting menu,  I can say that is more than fair for the quality of food you are getting, I would had pay $100 and still would have been a great deal. I would go as far and say that this is probably, hands down, the best restaurant in Florida. And everytime I think back and reminisce about the dishes (lol) I  really feel that statement isn't far-fetched in the slightest sense. We had everything from squad, Elk, to duck tongue and testicles and everything was just outstanding. The cocktails are amazing too, the service was great. Too bad I reside in Orlando and probably will make it here only for special occasion, but rest assure if I lived in the tampa area I would be stalking Sideberns!

Honestly is hard for me to fathom some of the bad reviews I've read. The only theory I can come up with is that some of these people simply can not recognize or undertand what great food is, may be because of how we as Floridians are so deprived from creative, innovative and adventurous Food and this is exactly what Sidebern's approach to food is and some people just aren't ready for it. I mean With every dish I felt like I was eating at a michellin star restaurant in New York. The best restaurant I have ever eaten was at Joel Rebuchon restaurant in Vegas and I can tell you that Sidebern's food was up to par with The food I had in that restaurant.
Don't come here if you are craving a well-done steak and a bake potato, otherwise, you are going to have a bad time. This place is for true foodies.

I applaud everyone at sideberns and I urge them to continue to do what they are Doing. We need more food like this here in Florida. I'm counting the days till I go Back and I'm sure whatever is on the menu will not dissapoint!

Best meal I've had in Tampa Bay. This place could stand with the best restaurants in NYC or San Francisco. Service was excellent (they folded my napkin when I left the table for the bathroom). Ambiance, decor perfect for a sexy romantic date. And both dishes served were delicious. My pork chop was the most tender pork chop I've ever eaten. Her fish tasted like gold in your mouth (and I don't normally like fish dishes). We topped it off with the bread pudding, which wasn't the best I've every eaten, but I was so satisfied with dinner, it didn't matter. Be prepared to spend some money but if you can, you must go!

I'm sorry. Maybe I just wasn't in a frou frou mood, but I wasn't impressed for how much we spent on our meals. My peach salad was tasty, but my squid ink fettucini was underwhelming. Perhaps because the last time I had squid ink pasta (in Boston at the Daily Catch), it blew my socks off, but I just couldn't get down with the version at SideBern's. The dessert was not as great as I expected either. I just didn't think the whole experience lived up to the hype. Womp womp...

Sideberns is the award-winning sister to the nationally recognized Tampa famous steakhouse, Berns. However, Sideberns is so much more than Berns' South Howard Avenue partner in cuisine crime.  Sideberns boasts a much more interesting personality with dishes creative, contemporary and simply divine. They are more expensive than Berns too, resulting in one pretty penny of a bill at the end of an excellent (but expensive) evening.
Dining at Sideberns isn't cheap but there is a way around breaking one's budget at this amazing eatery.  Recently, I discovered their little secret.  Sideberns has one incredible happy hour!  They feature an expertly concocted cocktail and small plate menu especially for happy hour patrons.  These libations are price-tagged at only $6 a pop and are shaken specialties from their regular drink menu.  Sideberns has won awards for their bar creations and it's no wonder why.  Their happy hour small plates are only $6 and there are usually six stellar options to choose from.
This last time I went to Sideberns' happy hour, I was able to score a sweet spot in one of the comfy large booths next to the bar.  They were slow on this Tuesday evening which conveniently made a cheap date a romantic one. I began with a scrumptious gin drink made with top shelf gin, mint and a lime juice infusion.  It was so refreshing even in its glorified gin strength.
To fill our bellies, we ordered a wide array of small plates. Crispy crusted oysters were the first two plates to hit our table.  Incredible.  The oysters were huge and oh so sweet, contrasting nicely with the mild spiciness of the tomatilla ailoi drizzled on top.  They were so good in fact, we ordered a third plate of these little beauties.
We also ordered their squid ink fettuccine strewn with feta, tomatoes and arugula.  The black sheen on the noodles was just beautiful and tasted even better than it looked.  I am officially obsessed with squid ink pasta now.  Thank you Sideberns for a new food obsession.
Finally, we ordered Ham Hock Bruschetta.  Crusty sliced french bread came generously layered with tons of flavorful and moist shredded ham hock along with a tasty salsa verde, gooey melted fresh mozzarella and a balsamic reduction drizzle on top. Unique and absolutely incredible fusion right there!
If you're on a semi-tight budget but want a fantastic evening of dinner and drinks, I highly recommend happy hour at Sideberns.  Be sure to get there extra early to grab a seat; for this "little" secret has steadily been unveiled.

SideBern's is Bern's slightly cooler and trendier younger sister.  This is a great spot to bring a date or just hang out at the bar.  I would love to come back when the weather is cooler and sit on the outdoor patio area.  I am interested in trying the tasting menu on my next visit.  At $75 per person it wasn't outrageous and you get six amazing courses.

The two downsides to SideBern's were the hefty prices and limited menu selection.  Two glasses of champagne, a glass of wine and half a dozen soy "caviar" covered raw oysters ran us about $70 before tip.  The oysters were incredible, but they were the only appetizer that caught my interest.  The charcuterie prices were a bit high.  We had had a similar platter at our prior stop and paid almost half of the price.

All in all I was impressed, but I will save this restaurant for a very special occassion or come for drinks at the bar during happy hour (Monday thru Saturday from 5 until 7pm).

SideBern's is my favorite place in Tampa for small plates and drinks.  The bar tenders are the best and always ready with wine pairing suggestions - plus they have great beer and cocktails for whatever mood you're in.  Of all the cities I've drank in due to work travel, they are one of three bars  I've found that carry Applejack for Jack Rose cocktails which is my favorite.  The small plates are always amazing and I love when the chef sends out a special small bite.  I've only sat once in the dining area to eat a full meal and was not as impressed with that experience.  I'm only giving it four stars because I wish it were more casual.

I like the atmosphere and the outdoor seating here. This review is for their happy hour. They offer some really good deals for beautifully presented food. $5 for a list of several apps between 5-7pm daily. We tried the cheese platter, which changes daily.  Each cheese came with it's own little "pairing" -- blue cheese with nuts, goat cheese with candied fruit, etc. It was delicious.

The scallops were my favorite and served in a gumbo sauce with a creamy polenta. The pork belly wasn't so great for me, it was in some Hawaiian-esque sauce that reminded me of the Chick-Fil-A Polynesion sauce. But I don't think I've acquired a taste for pork belly yet, so take my review of that dish with a grain of salt.

I think the menu probably chnages seasonally or even monthly, so these same items might not be there on your visit, but the quality of food is really high and they take care to make sure each plate looks perfect. Speciality drinks are $5 (the paloma is a good one, like a grapefruity, upscale maragarita) and craft beers are $3 - I would definitely reccomend Sidebern's got happy hour to locals or someone visiting Tampa.

This is our favorite Tampa restaurant.  We usually go here to celebrate birthdays or New Year's Eve.  This was our first time not getting the tasting menu, but it was still delicious.  We all shared our plates so it was fun.  The food was amazing as always.  Best thing I ate was the Tomato Risotto with Rock Shrimp!  Get there a bit early and enjoy a cocktail in their patio.

    4.5 stars for SideBern's.

It's hard to top the original Bern's in terms of service, food quality and value for what you're getting, and SideBern's wisely doesn't even try.  Instead, they opt for a more contemporary fusion menu which rotates out based on the availability of local ingredients.  Very similar to the Refinery, except I think SB nails the ambiance a lot better.  We spent two hours at the restaurant during our dining experience and it was a very comfortable place to do it.

This was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I, so I tried to make it a little more special by ordering a bottle of champagne when I made the reservations.  The staff on the phone was very accommodating with helping me pick out a good choice.  Be prepared for a little sticker shock even for aged liquor, but I assure you it's well worth it.  Their beer selection is also very impressive and looks as if the selections were hand picked to go along with the food being presented.  The rest of the wait staff were very friendly and even stopped by our table to wish us a happy anniversary.

Even better than booze, they also have an entire vegetarian menu which rotates out along with their normal menu.  They don't scale back on it at all either, so there are plenty of choices.  My wife and I went with the $55per person tasting, which consisted of 6 courses and a little pre-appetizer course.  Since there was so much food flying around I won't fill up this review with every little dish, but suffice to say there was ample variety.   Highlights include an almond vichysoise with goat cheese which left us aching for more, oregano scened tofu with some amazing chick pea puree that I will never be able to duplicate, polenta that gives mac and cheese a run for its money with wild mushrooms, and a macadamia nut bread pudding that somehow filled the remaining gaps left in my stomach.

To me, SideBerns is the epitome of a good romantic restaurant.  While food plays a central role, it's really about the whole experience. The wait staff are just there to aid and facilitate conversation between you and your loved one.  The food, just another topic of conversation and something you get to share.  And the champagne is there to make you seem just the slightest bit more insightful and witty.  I don't say any of that to devalue the food, staff, or decor, but to pay it a very high compliment.  Check it out for your next special occasion!

I was in town for work and staying downtown.  I did not see much downtown that interested me for dinner and I wanted to try something local.  I was VERY intrigued by Bern's, but I felt that Sideberns would be a better fit for dining alone.

I sat at the bar and was welcomed by the bartenders.  I sat next to an older, local couple and they made me feel very at home.  It was there first time at Sideberns as well and it was recommended to them by friends.

Drinks - Their happy hour is amazing.  I ordered a $5 glass of wine and a $5 appetizer that was outstanding.  I had the roasted scallops and they were cooked to perfection!

For my next course, I had the caprese salad.  It was so fresh and delicious.  The dressing was a pea shoot pesto.

This is such an amazing restaurant...I look forward to coming back and bringing my husband!

This is one of my favorites places in Tampa!!.. All appetizers are just delicious and the wine is one of the best in Tampa ( please remember it  is the same wine cellar of Berns!!). In addition,  the service is great!!.. It is normally a little busy. Then I recommend arriving early.
But definitely,I love this place and I recommend it 100%

I've been going to SideBerns for many years and have always enjoyed the cuisine, wine and the service there.  The concept is unique to Tampa as they seem to change the wine and food menus every 3 to 6 weeks.  I recommend SideBerns to friends and family visiting from out of town or to anyone who is looking for  a truly amazing dining experience.

Some of the most amazing food out there. The wine list is stellar. My girlfriend and I both agree, this is the best place to enjoy a night on the town. This restaurant puts heart and soul into their creations, and it shows.  Very memorable experience.

Definitely delicious. I wouldn't give it as much credit as everyone else, but its good.

On our visit, we did the tasting menu. The six courses definitely are just the right amount of food. Price went up to $75. Thought I'd make that clear. The economy is in shambles. On that note we did not get the accompanying wine flight for the extra $40 a person (which is not bad considering each glass of wine will run you an average of $15)... or maybe I just drink more than you.

I've been avoiding this review since I have to post on six courses times two. Here we go. The Salsify Vichyssoise was bland. You could barely taste the caviar. The Hamachi was fishy, seems burns doesn't turn their fish very often. Stuffed Langoustine was descent, I don't like cooked fish but the tilefish was alright, Scallop (one or two) was cooked to perfection, I was pretty impressed. The quail was alright. The duck hearts were AMAZING, as were the Iberico Pork 'Tapas.' I am from south of the equator (where everyone has an iron deficiency) but I thought the Duo of Beef was excessively sweet. The Elk Strip Loin was amazing. Although I LOVE chocolate, I liked the strawberry desert over the Chocolare Marquis.

Phew. The waitress didn't know much of the menu but at least she was honest about it, which I appreciated. Overall, its good.

I will say, after a couple drinks down on Howard, I was craving a snack.

Another contrarian review of an upscale eaterie, highly rated by most other reviewers, many of whose opinions I respect.   My bias is towards good food at reasonable prices, and against glitz & pretentiousness.   SideBerns does well on food, just not as astronomically superior as some would say.  Doing a fusion twist, adding a reduction sauce or decorating with squiggles to tweak presentation does not really improve the quality of the entree/side that is being displayed.  I actually intend to eat the creations.

The setting at SideBerns is trendy/modern, and not as fusty & forced romantic as Bern's.  Service is of course professional and the menu is more varied, but the elevated prices are not justified by the quality of food prep.  Also drinks are at premium prices.....do they have to pay more wholesale for their alcoholic contents, or are the tenders/servers paid extra for their skills at pouring a beer or other drink?

I took a family group there for a celebration event, eschewing Bern's in hopes of a more substantial experience. Family/guests liked it OK but did not thing it was the best they had had.  It was nice but sorta strung-out, and certainly not worth the tab and food bill I got that approached the amount I  pay for property taxes.   And I did not even get title to a section of the restaurant.

Its hard to dislike anything about Sideberns.

Went there the other night for happy hour - great wines by the glass and a lovely cheese board. Service: Prefect. Cheeses spectacular.

Music, vibe, decor, valet - all just as expected. Its been too many years since I dined here last, definitely going to do so soon, very very soon.

If the food weren't so great, it would have been 2 stars.

The food is delicious and I love how they use local farms and change the menu to keep everything fresh. Unique mixed drink menu, very nice beer selection, great wine list (it is Bern's little buddy, after all).

The service the night we were there was friendly, but spotty. It took a very long time to get our drink order and the waiter didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about the menu.

Despite making a reservation well in advance, we were placed at a table right into the middle of the traffic route between the kitchen/bar and other tables. Our chairs kept getting bumped and we felt very much in the way.

The restaurant was very noisy so it was hard to have a nice conversation.

While Side Bern's is probably nice for a group, I wouldn't go there again for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Sidebern's is amazing!!! I was taken aback, by the service, the cockatils, and the overall atmosphere. It was a spot that NYC could rival. I absolutely will return, for the overall atmosphere and attendance of their guests. Can't wait!!!! This is THE SPOT for south Tampa.

The food taste is five stars.  I only gave it four stars as the presentation could be spruced up somewhat, the ambiance could be made more exclusive and the dress code could be upped more.  This place is definite five star though.

We tried the Vegetarian Prix fix menu.  I wanted to try the normal tasting menu, but since I am not a big red meat eater, I decided to go with the vegetarian.  At $55 for six courses, it is a steal.  All the dishes that I tried were delicious and were appetizing to look at.  Since I don't eat vegetarian all the time, after a while I was craving some protein as the simliar textures were gettting boring somewhat.  The tea service was superb and the desserts were just perfect.  They were not too sickenly sweet or too much.

The service was efficient and the items just flowed to our table.  My only complaint is that I think the food is five star, but the way the service was dressed that it showed of a three star place.  Adding a bit more to the staff outfits and the overall atmosphere could make this a really high end place.

I loved the complimentary valet parking.

The place was packed by the time we left and overall they gave us an amazing experience.  I am surprised to have found this place in the middle of Tampa.  I think I will go to it once again in the near future.  The ingredients are fresh and local and they pay special attention to detail.

It's not Bern's (but what is?), but the wine list is great.  And they have Jamon Iberico de Bellota.  Oh, heavenly, I'd come here just for chaucuterie and wine.  The entrees (he had a steak -- again, it's not Bern's but still, and I had the duck) were less spectacular than the appetizers, but that's almost always the case at restaurants.

Despite the price, we ended up looking overdressed.  Perhaps our mistake was that we were there relatively early (before 7) on a Friday, so the Happy Hour crew was still filling the place.

It's fun to shop in the wine store before or afterwards.

I usually only make it here for dessert, but it's certainly worth the trip for that alone. The creations change seasonally, but put your faith in the wait staff to make a selection. No matter what you get, it will be out of this world.

Tonight I had a chocolate cake covered in tiny berries and pieces of chocolate, which gave an outstanding texture and crunch that was fantastic. It was accompanied by some cookies filled with a chocolate mousse cream that was incredible. When it arrived it almost seemed too small, but it was so rich that the only reason I finished was because it was so delicious.

Unlike the original down the street where the black jackets might literally be the best on wait staff on earth, the service can be a bit spotty at this location. The last couple times I've been in it's been a bit slow. But take the staff at their word when ordering... they know what's fabulous and aren't afraid to share.

If the full Bern's experience is a bit much for your tastes that evening, Side Bern's is a great alternative, even if only for a night cap and dessert.

Because of it's creative international fine dining, one of the largest wine cellars in the country, phenomenal service, state-of-the-art decor, and overall elegance, Sidebern's is the best restaurant I've ever been to.

They recently changed their menu, and it's still spectacular but more diverse. They now have a complete vegetarian menu, the meat menu, plus a Mediterranean food menu.

My suggestion is go for the tastings where you can have a six-course dinner, each dish beautifully presented and each paired with an extraordinary wine selection all the way to the dessert.

It's a bit pricey but well worth it. I will go back again and again...

Amazing place!  The lot had nothing but german cars, Bentleys and alike.  Great for corporate dining, etc

I probably had one of the finest lamb in the world, it was done to perfection.  The wine selection was good too, check out the Pinot Noir.  Overall, the ambience and layout was very exclusive and service was great.

Be ready to shell out money for fine, quality dining!
    Dress to impress!
