We stopped by Saturday afternoon. To get to the main tavern, you have to walk through the covered patio area where everyone is smoking. The main bar area is tiny and not much to look at. This place is really a watering hole for the locals. They are friendly enough and it may be a decent enough place to stop for a beer if you can't make it to Evergreen or Morrison.

Fun mountain bar with a great feel and friendly folks.  Cold beer, good waitstaff and a typical bar menu to soak up the alcohol.  Great place to stop when cruising down 285 and only 15 minutes or so out of town.  We really enjoyed the live music while there to!!

This is a great place! The atmosphere is friendly. The owners are so nice (hopefully one of the employees/owners that was working the night I went in is healing from her broken rib!). I think the kitchen shuts down after 9PM which was a bummer because my friends and I were starving when we went there. Beer's food though, right?

A great place to go if you are a local or an out-of-town guest!

Thanks for the fun and great hospitality!

This is a great little spot to stop at when you're out cruising on the bike. In all honesty, I'm never up this way otherwise.

We stopped in for a little pit stop and some food during a cruise with a few buddies. It sits back like it's some sort of residential property, and if you blink, you'll miss it. They have a nice patio and there's an open spring in the back that adds to the outdoor feel of the place. The Sit N Bull is definitely family friendly, but has a biker bar vibe added into it.

The menu isn't too large, but it more than covers the basics. They have some appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers. I had a straight up cheese burger with all the toppings. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fries were a little limp, but were very tasty.

The waitress was very pleasant and took very good care of us. I felt right at home at the Sit N Bull and will certainly return when I'm out that way hitting the curves.

Got to enjoy outdoor patio seating this past weekend. Service by Lisa was stellar, and she was super friendly. Had a pretty darn good BLT and a few pints of Newcastle to wash it down.

Would love to see a few local beers (besides Coors) on draft, but oh well.

Great place to stop in after a hike at one of the neighboring parks!

Great little mountain bar. The entrance sign says "Enter as strangers leave as friends". This was so true. Everyone was so friendly. It is a little small as far as the main bar area goes, but up 5 steps was more seating and they did have a patio area where you could smoke.

Food: tasty (especially for after a hike). Ambiance: good, what you'd expect from a dive bar in the mountains. Service: friendly. We tried the homemade tomato soup, buffalo burger, and spinach dip appetizer. We'd order all of them again. Don't miss out on the pool table in the upstairs area!

This our little Cheers on the Hill. Great people, Great food you will be surprised and priced very good. Bartenders are the BEST!!! We live close and we go down the hill with other plans for lunch or diner and just end up here cause we just can not see going further down the pike when we know what we will have a good time at The Sit N Bull
Oh and who ever borrowed the Bull's head BRING IT BACK!!!  It is a INDIAN HILLS TREASURE .

This was the first place we went when we moved to Indian Hills. Doreen and Amber made us feel at home. Brad and the other cooks are awesome and the food (especially the fries) are the best.  When I walk thru the door, it's like "coming home." Everyone makes you feel welcome and happy to be there!  :-)

Spotted this on the way to my hike this morning and knew it's where I'd be afterward. They apparently serve breakfast which is why the lot was full at 9.30am.
Got there around 1 pm just as a crowd of bikers were leaving and a band was setting up to play at 2.
Pretty decent 1/2 pound burgers with fries for $8. Totally hit to spot after a 6 mile hike.
Forgot to mention they have chalk walls in the lady's room and very funny signs throughout the bar area.

This place is great for what it is, a neighborhood dive bar.

We stopped in after a hike at Mt. Falcon, got a couple buckets of beer, sat out on the patio, talked some trash, the usual. It was a very comfortable place to kick back.

We had eaten picnic-style on our hike, so no one ate the food here (although many commented about how squeamish they would be about eating here). The inside is very cramped and loud (given the number of drunk guys and gals who felt the need to scream to the person next to them.

It's a cute spot. I'd definitely stop by for a beer after a hike, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Dig the name ;)

I moved into Colorado to hear the mountains speak.  I made sure to have a place in Denver where I could see them.  and I make sure to make trips to explore, whether deeply or merely skating the edges of the foothills.

anyway, the other intent is to stop in for Jameson's at the most interesting places, feeling the flavor of locals' personalities, asking about the 'good' routes, and to inhale the breath (obviously, I just got back...).

I stopped at the Sit and Bull, nestled in the crevices of the foothills, just south of Morrison.  great cheeseburgers, comfort, and warmth; so easy to be here.  pool table, fireplace, patio.  conversation.

if you're into drives westward on the lesser trodden path, try route 285, and make sure to stop here.
