This place has gone through several owners over the years. The new owners are doing a much better job with the food and service. We most often go during happy hours so I can't speak to the more substantial food. We like the street tacos and sliders. Easy to share but substantial enough to counteract the beer. As to beer, the selection of taps is far beyond any other option in the neighborhood. Several different IPAs and local beers to choose from. It is loud so not a place you would want to take a date.
Review Source:My friend and I went here for Happy Hour the other day. We ordered wine and some appetizers off of the discount menu. I was pleased with the wine selection and the fact that none of them were excluded in the Happy Hour pricing.
The fries were delicious. The seasoning they put on them is so good. The hummus was a little watery and tasteless but the fries made up for it. Service was okay.
Why the one star? Well we noticed things moving by the podium up front and it turns out it was a MOUSE. I've never left a restaurant so quickly. Must be dirty as heck in the kitchen to have mice. I will be contacting the appropriate authorities on Monday and I don't think I'll be going back.
The wife and I came here on a gift certificate we got at a charity auction... so bonus there already because I appreciate it when businesses even bother with stuff like that.
They have great happy hour specials until 6... cheap craft beer/wine/appetizers - pretty good selection too. If it weren't for this place being so far from me, it would be enough to entice me back for the HH at least semi-regularly.
I will say that I was not super impressed by the food - it was all good, just not great, but for what we payed I was more than satisfied. Â
To sum up: Your money will go far here (especially during happy hour). I am an absolute pig and couldn't even finish my dinner. Don't expect fine dining, but Rox is worth shot.
