This place has gone through several owners over the years. The new owners are doing a much better job with the food and service. We most often go during happy hours so I can't speak to the more substantial food. We like the street tacos and sliders. Easy to share but substantial enough to counteract the beer. As to beer, the selection of taps is far beyond any other option in the neighborhood. Several different IPAs and local beers to choose from. It is loud so not a place you would want to take a date.
Review Source:My friend and I went here for Happy Hour the other day. We ordered wine and some appetizers off of the discount menu. I was pleased with the wine selection and the fact that none of them were excluded in the Happy Hour pricing.
The fries were delicious. The seasoning they put on them is so good. The hummus was a little watery and tasteless but the fries made up for it. Service was okay.
Why the one star? Well we noticed things moving by the podium up front and it turns out it was a MOUSE. I've never left a restaurant so quickly. Must be dirty as heck in the kitchen to have mice. I will be contacting the appropriate authorities on Monday and I don't think I'll be going back.
The wife and I came here on a gift certificate we got at a charity auction... so bonus there already because I appreciate it when businesses even bother with stuff like that.
They have great happy hour specials until 6... cheap craft beer/wine/appetizers - pretty good selection too. If it weren't for this place being so far from me, it would be enough to entice me back for the HH at least semi-regularly.
I will say that I was not super impressed by the food - it was all good, just not great, but for what we payed I was more than satisfied. Â
To sum up: Your money will go far here (especially during happy hour). I am an absolute pig and couldn't even finish my dinner. Don't expect fine dining, but Rox is worth shot.
I called 8 weeks in advance. It was a rehearsal dinner for 38 people. Prime rib, chicken or vegetarian. They had a headcount two weeks before the dinner and knew who was having what. They cooked the primerib too fast so it was chewy and in some cases not edible. The service was Sloooooooooooooowwww it took 45 min to get salad and bread our entress followed about 45 min after that and by the time dessert came around half the guests had left because they had been there over two hours. I was so embarrassed to have brought my wedding party and spouses here. It was awful. :-(
Review Source:I frequently meet friends here, and choose this place for two reasons: the patio and the fish tacos- which are absolutely excellent. The food has been consistently good, and while I'm not a huge fan of the specific beers on tap personally, there is a good selection of local brews that should satisfy most anyone (it makes me happy to see Colorado beers on tap in Colorado eateries). The only reason I won't give it another star is that the friendliness of the staff is hit and miss. Definitely worth a stop in for the tacos, though! :)
Review Source:I was a bit hesitant to eat at the Rox after reading some of these reviews. Â Went there for supper with 10 family members and had a great time. Â All the food was good, I ate the salmon and it was cooked perfectly although the piece was a bit small in my opinion. Â My main gripe is that those of us who smoked couldn't do it unless we physically walked out the front door and into the parking lot. Â Even though there is an open air balcony directly adjacent to the dinning room. Â So you can't have a drink and a smoke together at the Rox. Â Sadly, while the food was good this asinine smoking policy will keep me away for good.
Review Source:My boyfriend and I have been here several times, usually M-F after about 4pm. Â The specialty martinis have been decent and service is generally friendly. Â However, about a week ago we had one of the worst food experiences in a restaurant we have ever had. Â We decided to order the mussels with our martinis and we should've followed our instincts not to order seafood in the middle of the Colorado suburbs... The mussels were chewy, tough, smelled and tasted rotten, and the sauce was a bland fishy creme. Â It was extremely unappetizing and was not edible to us. Â We will not be back.
Review Source:We come here often and today I tried something new--their Black Bean burger.  This is one of the few places that make their own rather than a frozen patty. In fact the server said  they make everything except the sweet potato tots. The "burger" came with cheese, lots of guacamole and pico de gallo. It was very good, a bit messy and maybe next time I'd ask for ketchup instead of the other toppings. My husband like s their regular burgers, the fish tacos are good and so are the french fries. They have a little bit of seasoning, both slightly sweet and slightly spicy.  The strawberry shortcake was good  and I liked that they had a REAL biscuit and not sponge cake or pound cake. Could have used a bit more strawberries. The service was a bit slower than usual but it also seemed busier than usual.
Review Source:I just stopped here after a road ride for the first time to check out this place out and all I can say is there is nothing else down in this area that competes with this place people! It has a nice upscale but chill atmosphere to it with great food and some EXCELLENT Colorado beers on tap. So don't listen to all those complainers and give this place a try!!!
Review Source:After reading some of the reviews on here, I would have to agree with most of the more negative ones. Â This bar used to be a great place to go for a burger or even some of their delicious soups. Â Not so much anymore. Â Service is non existent, and the food is average at best. Â Judging by some of the owners comments back to Yelpers I think I am starting to see why the service is dying there. Â Used to love to go there, now I'll take any other restaurant in the area because I know that I'll actually get some decent service.
Review Source:I'm not sure if we came on a bad day or what? We came in today around 115pm. There was a few tables on the patio and a few in the restaurant. We stood waiting to be seated for a few minutes, the bartender  saw us but no greeting whatsoever. We sat ourselves. Waited another 5 minutes and ended up grabbing the menus ourselves. Sat for 15 minutes with two waitresses and what I assume was the manager seeing us but still no greeting or offer for beverages. At that point we left. Sad. I think this restaurant has great potential, but EVERYTIME(4 times in the past three years) the service is absolutely lousy.
Review Source:Meh. Waited too long for my liking for the appetizer. Â The spinach artichoke dip was good but the overly seasoned chips, were not. Â The put so much season salt on the chips that you lose the flavor of the dip. Â Chips by themselves are fine. Â No need to put me in a salt coma. Had the chicken in cream sauce with mushrooms. Tasted more like a wine sauce which is not my favorite. The green beans it came with were over cooked. The other meal was fish and chips. Not much fish, lots of breading. The slaw tasted more like Chinese Chicken salad than traditional slaw. Not bad, but not what I was expecting and wanted. Overall, it wasn't gross, but I probably won't go back.
Review Source:I came in on a Friday night for dinner. Upon arrival, the parking lot was practically full, prompting me to think there might be a bit of a wait for a table. To our delight, me and my +1 were seated right away indoors. The decor is pretty modern and the space fairly large. Their outdoor patio looked pretty inviting, and I could imagine that it would be a nice place to dine during sunset since it faces the foothills. With that being said, the rest of our night can best be described as "blah". Our waitress, while nice and pleasant, did not do much in the way of actually "waitressing" and ended up MIA for most of our visit. I decided to go crazy for dinner and order a steak, since I hardly ever do, and told our waitress that I wanted the NY Strip Steak cooked medium. My +1 ordered the Filet Mignon. The wait wasn't terribly long. After the first 2 or three bites, I noticed something was off and took a long hard look at my steak. I cut into in a few more times and noticed that it was definitely rare - not medium. Of course, by this time our waitress had dissappeared and after a long wait I finally had to grab the hostess to find her. When our waitress arrived she didn't even bat an eye when I told her my dilema, and she offered to take the steak to be put back over an open flame. Not long after, my steak came back, this time cooked medium well to well. No matter; my stomach was literally eating itself by this time and my +1 had already finished his meal. I wolfed down my steak with absolutely no pleasure at all; it was pretty flavorless. I had requested that it come topped with shrimp for an additional $4, and each one of the 5 little buddies were overcooked and ended up having more flavor than the meat. My +1 had the same thing to say about his meal. The side veggies were also pretty bland. The only part of my meal that stuck out were the mashed potatoes; they had just the right amout of garlic and had been smashed just the way I like them. I had also hoped that due to my steak not being cooked right the first time, that our bill would have been comped in some way. It wasnt, and after 2 glasses of their cheapest wine and no apps, our total bill came to a little over $65. Bottom line: I expect better service and better tasting food when shelling out this kind of money for 2 people. To be fair, I will try this place out again, but I definitely won't be having the steak.
Review Source:Drinks only as kitchen was already closed. Â Across the lot from the Holiday Inn Express. Â Went in on a Saturday night at 10. Â Staff equaled number of clients. Â Very nice bar. Â Cute and efficient bartender but she wasn't super friendly. Â I soon realized why no chat from the staff. Â Last call was communicated 15 minutes after our first beer. Â Strongbow Cider and other unique drinks available but boy this place would be fun if it was rocking out like it should be on a Saturday night.
Review Source:This place has changed management several times over the years, and I'm happy to say that this time, its the best.
The Food is good for upscale Bar-style food, The Atmosphere is greatly improved since they renovated and redesigned the layout., The Beer selection is Great- with several craft brews on tap! Â There aren't a lot of good upscale sports bars in the Metro Southwest and Rox is a great place to see a game or get together with friends or visitors.
About the only bad thing to say about this place is that it is a little tricky to get to because of catching the frontage road by the gas station. Â Otherwise, I really enjoyed this place. Â It's definitely not one for a quiet dinner. But, the food was very good w/large portions. Liked the ambiance as well. Â Will definitely come back on an afternoon where the patio will be a good place to hang out and enjoy.
Review Source:Not bad for an Applebee / Chilis / TGIFriday style place. The menu selection is a bit more exotic, but not amazing. The decor is kind of a hodge-podge and didn't have a great overall feel.
The Veggie Black Bean Burger was decent, although the bun was not great. The Asian style cole slaw was different, but tasty. The drinks seemed a bit steep, and the appetizer prices were unusually high for the amount of food you got.
Overall it was okay, but not spectacular although the wait staff was outstanding.
We went on Saturday the 12th of Feb. for lunch.
First impression is that this places has a big Identity Crisis going on. Â The outside looks like nice and has a mountain lodge feel. Â The inside is a strange Hotel Dining room meets Airport Lounge decor. Â
There is Oil Paintings on the wall Hockey on the TV and a pool table surrounded with Dining furniture. Â The wait staff were dressed in all back uniforms but really it was just T Shirts and Jeans. Â All the Uniforms were dirty and stained which we found odd considering they were not busy.
The menu was over the top for a lounge with a pool table it was like they were trying to be a steak house with the menu so that made it even more confusing.
The food was good we got two different steaks and a Sandwich and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Â The steaks were cooked correctly and the portions were sufficient.
The service was attentive, but did seem robotic at times. Â
At the end of the day I cant really say anything was bad about this place but it was hard to get comfortable because it seemed like everything was out of place. Â Maybe I'll have to go at night to see if the bar crowd gets something I didn't at lunch.
My husband and I went to Rox Bar & Grill for dinner. Â We live in Littleton and I thought it would be nice to try something new (and not Chili's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, etc.). Â
When we got to the restaurant, we were seated right away. Â The interior is nice and has a well-stocked bar, though there weren't a whole lot of people there considering it was a Saturday night around 7:00 p.m. Â Anyway, the waitress promptly showed up at our table to get our drink and appetizer orders. Â We decided to try the Rox Chicken Tenders, which come tossed in a honey BBQ chipotle sauce. Â They were all right, but the sauce could have used more flavor, specifically more of a kick from the chipotles. Â
For dinner, I went with their surf & turf (steak and shrimp), while my husband chose the carbonara pasta. Â My steak was cooked properly (medium), and the shrimp were good, but I wish there were more of them--only 3 and they weren't too big. Â I liked the mashed potatoes that came with my entree. Â I think they pan fry them and it adds a nice crispiness. Â My husband said his pasta was good. Â
Our waitress was friendly and attentive and the service was very quick. Â We were in and out in just about a half an hour. Â Overall, the food was good, but not great. Â It's fine when you don't feel like driving downtown to go to a great restaurant.
Had the Chicken Marsala dish which came with mashed potatoes and seasonal grilled veggies (~$12+tax)
Chicken was very tender and juicy with a sweet Marsala sauce (For comparison, it's sweeter than the one at Cheesecake factory )
Mashed potatoes was a bit burnt and a little too rich. Â I didn't eat much.
Grilled zucchini was lightly salted. Â Some pieces were slightly undercooked however.
The portions are generous and there is a Happy Hour menu. Â Overall, satisfied with my experience here.
Outdoor patio, but lots of 470 noise, limited staff on sunday morning.
I can only speak to brunch, on a sunday:
Friend of mine and I had done a hike up in conifer and were jonesin for some brunch, with a good bloody mary...
She had dined here for dinner before and said we should try it.
There was only 1 fella doing everything - seating, taking orders, serving food, clearing tables, as well as dealing with the bar. Ooof a- Â i did not envy him!
I got eggs Benedict - sauce was pretty good, side potatoes were anh. Bloody was terrible - just some tomato juice and vodka, with pepper sprinkled on top. Boo.
It was an enjoyable way to spend a weekend morning, but i wouldn't race back.
My wife and I recently ate at the Rox Bar & Grill and were pleasantly surprised.
We started off with the Calamari appetizer  which was much better than the standard boring calamari with marinara sauce.  Rox's calamari had a Mediterranean flair with olives, feta cheese and artichokes which was quite good. Â
For dinner my wife had the the Grilled Salmon which we were skeptical about, since it is served on top of mashed potatoes, but I have to say my wife absolutely loved it, along with her Chocolate Martini. Â I had the Chicken Marsala based on the waitress recommendation and she did not let me down.
We will definitely be back since my wife is still talking about the salmon.
Picture this - It's Saturday night, I am STARVING and have money to spend! It's a weekend staying at my boyfriend's house so we are deep in the wilds of Littleton. My boyfriend suggests we try the Rox Bar and Grill. Neither of us had been there before and we both liked the idea of a locally owned spot.
To be honest I was underwhelmed when we walked in, very corporate looking - think Applebee's without the personal touches.
We glance over the menu, basic bar food. Billed as "Upscale Casual" I wasn't really sure what they were going for  - no locally sourced ingredients, no fresh fish,  nothing really stand out. Again kind of an Applebee's or Benigans vibe. The "specials" were tilapia; Your choice of fish and chips or tacos. The boyfriend went with the fish and chips. I wanted fish SO BAD - but come on, Tilapia is kinda yucky.  I decided on a Caesar Salad with shrimp. Â
The waiter brought our drinks eventually and returned later to take our meal order. The specialty martini's we ordered were quite good - nothing original but yummy. Â Overall the service was friendly but very, VERY slow.
When our food came I admit to being a little disappointed by the quantity of shrimp on my salad (4) however, I was pleasantly surprised by how succulent they looked. Not giant but a nice size, probably 25/pound. I eagerly bit into the first one.  WOW  - it was one of the saltiest shrimp I have ever tasted - I mean seriously blow your taste buds salty. Thinking I had perhaps chosen a "bad" shrimp I took a bite of a second shrimp. Same thing - way too salty to eat.  I honestly don't know if these shrimp had been brined or were some kind of unholy prepared frozen entrée for restaurants but whatever the cause was they were inedible. I took at stab at my salad - a half bunch of romaine split and flayed on the plate with all of the tough end leaves in tact and was totally disheartened. The flavor was just salt, the lettuce leaves were limp and there was absolutely nothing to recommend it aside from the  rather pleasant pink color of the dressing. Â
Regretfully I informed my date that I was going to send the salad back and I hoped he wouldn't be embarrassed. Â I waited FOREVER for the waiter to come and check on us. When he showed up I explained that the salad was far too salty for me. He responded with "Well what do you expect with Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese?"
"REALLY?!!!!!!" I thought to myself, but  all I said, very calmly  was  "I know  what Caesar salad should taste like but this is inedible, would you care to try one of the schrimp?" The waiter asked if he could bring me something else to eat . I said no the Jalapeño Poppers we had just ordered would be enough. To keep everything pleasant and to demonstrate I was a good sport, I also asked for another martini. And asked him to please just remove the salad.
He didn't - he left it sitting on the table throughout the rest of the meal - staring and mocking. I admit at one point I was temped to go back to it but I just couldn't get past the flavor. I pretty much hogged the entire plate of Jalapeño Poppers that I had ordered when my salad was delivered. For clarity's sake there were 8 poppers to an order. I would guess they were the frozen ones from Costco - at least that's what they tasted like. They were fried in high quality oil and were pleasant to eat.
The waiter popped back a little later to explain that he couldn't remove the salad from my bill but felt he gave a "very nice discount" that would satisfy me. When the bill came he had credited a little less than 20% or $2.45 from the salad I couldn't eat. No really. A whopping $2.45. The salad cost $9.80 Â and then they added $4.00 for the shrimp. We had spent over $30 on just drinks, plus my boyfriend's meal and they couldn't just remove the horrible salad. The salad I ate literally four bites of.
At that moment I struggled. Do I just pay the bill never to return? Do I talk to the manager and give them one more chance to make it right? Finally I decided I wanted to talk to a manager. That this was ridiculous.
I asked to speak to his manager. An interminable time later this woman came over to the table and asked how she could help. I explained about the salad. You will not believe what she said to me, She explained that the restaurant couldn't be expected to refund money every time they made food someone didn't like. Â No, really, that is what she said. She said she would give me a coupon for a DISCOUNT on a draft beer on my next visit. Flabbergasted, I explained there would not be another visit
.
I tipped based on the amount the bill would have been without the salad. I kinda whish I had just removed the price of the salad from the tip - I'm not sure what sends a stronger message.
I will not return to Rox. There are too may good places to eat, and especially in this economy, I don't have to give restaurants with sub-par food and poor customer service my mone
I've been to Rox Bar & Grill a couple times. Once for dinner and another to meet up with some friends. The food was decent and a good price. But if you are under 35 years old be warned, this place is THE hang out for young married couples around Ken Caryl area. You could easily be the youngest person there. But on the other hand, if you're in the mood for some hot MILF or cougar action this could be a good place to start. Why just a couple weeks ago my friend kissed his extremely drunk neighbor while her husband watched. He also fell in love with one of the waitresses and told her that she was hotter than her daughter which put her in an awkward spot and he kept saying "honestly, you are soooo hot." too bad she had a boyfriend.
Review Source:Well after reading some of the other reviews I was a bit apprehensive about going back to the rox but my husband said   To hell with it we are going and I am glad he did. We split the cali and the French onion soup the soup was the best I had in a long time we also had the skirt steak salad ... Very good indeed the only complaint I can make is the patio needs to be spruced up some plant may be and the  empty beer cans and ciggy buts need to be cleaned up and those little bill folds for the check need to be provided. The service was fantastic we will be back!!!
Review Source:After reading the previous reviews and driving by this lovely little building on my way to work every a.m., I thought this place could be on the up-and-up. They have a patio overlooking the foothills (and unfortunately C-470) but the view beats out a lot of local restaurants for sure.
The interior is bare and whatever resides in the upstairs loft is not in use. It feels a bit empty even though I was surprised to see more people dining there than I expected on a week night. It took awhile for the server to make her way to our table but she had miscommunication with the other server or hostess so it was cleared up as to why we sat unattended to for several minutes.
I honestly wasn't overly impressed with the menu. A few things sounded good but it was nothing unique. It appeared to be overpriced bar food, but I figured I'd give it a whirl. I asked the waitress about the crabcake burger. She stated that she is not a fan of crab but "other people seem to like it".
So?
"You should get it."
I must say, this was one of the worst restaurant meals I have had in years. The crabcake was nothing more than shredded canned crab thrown in a deep fryer, or so it tasted. It fell apart easily and tasted cheap. It had a sauce that I didn't realize was on there until halfway through the burger and shredded iceberg lettuce. All for the ridiculous price of $9.75! The fries weren't great either. Overall, my plate was a pile of colorless drab bland stuff thrown into grease. I couldn't finish it. I didn't ask for a to-go box but was brought one anyways and I just handed the plate with the half-eaten burger back to the server. I wasn't asked if if it tasted alright. Â Maybe we all just pretended like that meal didn't happen and I wished it hadn't.
Dear Rox, crabcakes are not a difficult culinary item to master. Pick up a Food & Wine cookbook and make your own variation of one. It requires some spices and a good substantial base, but they are not difficult to screw up. Somehow you missed this one by a mile.
My friend ordered Salmon that was soaked in too much butter. She wasn't impressed and it wasn't worth the price. Â
Sadly, I expected more from this place as it has the potential but between the so-so customer service and the overpriced bland and greasy meal, I admit I can't stomach going back except for some booze on the patio this summer.
I'm giving two stars because I feel like it's a business trying to get a jumpstart with a new owner who cares about the customers, but realistically I would only give you one star.
Rox Bar is an "ok" place to grab a bite. Â Like many people have mentioned the food is usually pretty good (LOVE the calamari!), however the waitstaff always seems to be put out when they have to wait on customers.
It would also be great to have WiFi here - I needed to meet a friend to work on a project today during lunch  - we called Rox and they said the owner wouldn't let them give out the WiFi code??  We ended up spending about $50 on drinks and food somewhere else, so that was their loss.  The other restaurant had 4 or 5 other parties with computers out too - many were guys watching their fantasy football leagues!
This place is in desperate need of a personality. It's a great building with lots of potential, but it just feels soooo bland (hello tan walls...everywhere you look). Also, the huge vaulted ceiling makes for lots of echoes - not really ideal if you're actually trying to hold a conversation! They have what looks to be a nice patio with good views, but it was full when we got there. Service was so-so (can anyone look presentable here? and why is everyone pregnant?) and the menu wasn't very extensive, but the food was actually pretty good - Wheel even said the Rox burger ranked up there in his top 5! Nachos were also delish. Happy hour wasn't too shabby either - 1/2 price drafts and well drinks and $5 select apps (other specials too, but those caught my eye). It's pretty close to my house but I probably won't be making this a routine stop.
Review Source:I tried out Rox today and left very satisfied with the food. Â The dining area was wide open and the tables were spaced appropriately. Â I hate going out to dinner and having the next table right on top of you and having to listen to someone elses conversation. Â Some times its entertaining but more times than not it is just annoying.
We got there early so there wasn't a wait and the bartender was running the whole place. Â Tending bar, seating people, and being the waiter. Â He did this for about a half hour until his wait staff started arriving and he started passing the baton.
It's always nice getting passed off from one waiter to another. Â Today the person I was with was drinking diet pepsi and I had iced tea and when the new waitress came over and filled my tea glass, she promptly filled the diet pepsi with iced tea without asking if we were both drinking the same thing. Â OOPS! Â I guess we could have said something if our mouths weren't full. Â Isn't that how it always is, the waitress shows up to ask how things are the minute you are shoving something into your mouth. Â Do they do this on purpose? Â "How is everything?"
BBbbluuhhh....BBbbluhhhh.....Very good, thanks for asking :)
As for the hostesses, it looked like two had shown up and one was walking around with what looked to be slippers. Â Jeans and slippers, very odd I thought for a hostess at what I thought was a very nice and clean restaraunt that was very eye appealing. Â Oh well, no one dresses up to go out anymore, why should the staff dress up to greet people?
As for the burgers we had, they were excellent. Â I had the Honey BBQ that was good and messy that gave me a great BBQ face when the waitress came by :) Â The chips were ok but I was wishing I had ordered the fries instead.
We were glad we got there early because as we were eating the place was filling up fast. Â I was a little concerned about the wait staff and being able to keep up. Â All in all, it was a very nice experience and I wouldn't hesitate going back for more.
I went to Rox a few nights ago for the birthday party of a friend. Â We had dedicated servers for about 20-25 of us, and they were very attentive and kept all our tabs straight without needing credit cards (sometimes a feat, esp at a new restaurant with possibly new(er) servers. Â
I had Coors Light (i know, i know -- it was just the cheapest thing they had!) and it was flat. Â All 5 of them. Â They did give me a free half beer because one of them came a little under-filled. Â Which was really good of them, and not something that happens at a lot of places.
The food was decent, I had an app of the Kobe Beef Sliders (which were actually really tasty.) Â Things seemed to me to be a little pricey (the beers were more than I'm used to paying, though $3.50 a pint isn't bad, I just go to cheaper places.)
The restaurant itself is rather uninviting. Â It's just a very large open space -- intentionally so, to create a flow with some big windows on one side, but it just feels awkward. Â I've never liked full open dining rooms like that unless it's al fresco style dining. Â But it's wide open, you can see and hear everything, there's no privacy or any quiet corners. Â Not my idea of a very nice dining experience, but it's worth it for a try.
I might feel different if I sat in the dining room, but we had a private room upstairs for the party. Â The servers were good, the food was decent, the prices weren't terrible, so it wasn't bad. Â It's just so damn far away from the rest of civilization (ken caryl) I don't see myself going there unless I have to. Â
Should you go out for a few beers, you can get away with $20 a person, but if you're out for dinner you're talking more like $30 a person -- that's not horrible, just be aware. Â It's not a bar and grill, it's a restaurant.
This place is surprisingly good. Â From the name Bar & Grill and the beer signs advertising their opening, I had no idea it is as nice as it is. Â The room is lovely with a bit of a view of the foothills and a nice patio. Â The service was great, and the food was excellent. Â I had nachos, which I'm addicted to, and thought they were terrific once I asked for additional pico de gallo. Â My husband thought his burger was "right up there" with the best burgers he has had. Â We both thought the fries were especially good. Â And prices were reasonable!
There have been some other things in this space at C-470 and Ken Caryl. Â I think this is finally what we need.
Rox ROCKS :)
This place just opened up July 21st, and is just down the hill from work, so we decided to check it out for lunch today. Rox is a really nice restaurant, without being overly trendy and uncomfortable. There is a nice patio area. And, the prices were very reasonable.
I had the Mongolian Skirt Steak with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes and Stir Fried Vegetables. Can't say I was crazy about them putting wasabit in the potatos, but the rest of the dish was fantastic. With my beverage, tax & tip is was under $20.
The service wasn't fabulous, which was surprising, since our 5 top was one of maybe 4 tables in the entire restaurant that were occupied. I think our server may have been new. I had my steak for about 10min before I could get our server to bring me a steak knife. She didn't bring enough silverware for the whole table. Stuff like that. Again, probably a rookie, but the reason for this place losing 1 star.
This place looks like it would be a great after-work hang out. There are pool tables upstairs and a nice, full bar. I'll definitely be checking it out for dinner/HH, soon.
