Great bar in Lewisburg. Students rarely come here (especially on "going out" nights) so it stays fairly local, which is a good thing. As a student, my housemates and I love to go on lazy weeknights and get drinks and the guac--they make it tableside!! I've never ordered an item I didn't like and the beer selection can't be beat in Lewisburg. Definitely a hidden gem!

Visiting my hometown, I was surprised to have find this little pub sprung up where there used to be a hallmark greeting card store. Plenty of taps means a vast selection of beer, with a leaning towards some of the more local, independent craft breweries. The salsa and finger foods my group munched on were delicious, and served to us promptly. The bar tender was polite, gave out plenty of samples for those of us who have not heard much about the local breweries, and made recommendations based off his knowledge and pallet that worked out pretty well. Definitely one of my new favorite places when I'm visiting my friends or parents in my hometown.

What's the definition of a nervous breakdown? ...............................

A chameleon on a tartan rug!

I'm sorry but that's the only chameleon joke I have and the logo of this place makes me smile.

I was in town on business and stopped in for lunch. I've been into approximately a million gastro pub/ brew pub type joints and this one is quite typical.

Let's talk about the beer first.  These folks have around 24 taps.  If you're a beer aficionado you might get a little excited about that but don't get too worked up just yet.   Many of these taps are old standbys.  There were multiple Victory, Stoudt's, and Yuengling choices.  These are fine beers for sure but nothing to get excited about.  I did manage to quaff an Elk Creek local brew which was just fine.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich for $8.99. It came will a small side of potato salad.  It was just fine but nothing to rave about.

The bartender was also just fine.  She was semi-knowledgeable about beer and friendly.

So my visit overall was just fine. A typical Yelp A-OK.

This review is for the bar only. My husband and I have been here a few times now with friends and with family. We love the environment, and love Lewisburg in general. We've never been here to eat, just to grab some beer. We love it! Other than Old Forge Brewing Company, it's our favorite bar around!

First meal in town after hours of house hunting.  Super friendly, quick service.  Portabello sandwich (chipotle aoli)and veggie quesadilla were delish, and completely soul satisfying.  Tableside guac was good, but needed more lime.  Creamy chicken, corn black bean soup was very good but way to salty (and I'm a salt addict).  Fun selection of beer- be sure to try a sampler for $6. Like this place and atmosphere.  If this is what Lewisburg is about, looking forward to getting settled in the area.

They make the guacamole at your table.  Need I say more?  I had the best smoked salmon quasadilla!  I would definitely revist when I'm in the area.

30 taps. NFL Sunday Ticket. Good food. What else do you need?

Lewisburg's newest addition to the bar scene, the Smiling Chameleon maintains a laid back atmosphere and emits some of that small town, Lewisburg charm.  But, the space is small; seating is limited.  We ended up standing the entire time, immediately to the side of the bar.  Though, it wasn't a big deal.

They have a wide range of beers - something for everyone.  And, as one of beer's least biggest fans, I was able to appreciate the hard cider they had in stock.

I go to this place a few times a week for a quick pint on my own or with friends. Even if I didn't live within throwing distance, I'd still make it a point to drop by frequently. The bartenders are incredibly nice and very friendly.  The beer selection is generally very good, and I like doing the sampler flight when I'm having trouble deciding on a single beer.  They do a good job keeping many of the local beers on tap, although they do a few macrobrews, too.

The atmosphere is comfortable and there' s just the right amount of noise/action for my tastes.  The clientele is mostly professor types, with the occasional college student or senior citizen thrown in for good measure. This isn't a place where I'd worry about running into a group of my students downing shots!

I've not tried much of the food, but the "conversation foods" are pretty good. I enjoyed the chips and cheese or smoked salsa when I tried them, but I can't speak with authority on any of their other offerings.

Huge selection of tap beers from everywhere at a reasonable price.

My new go-to bar in town. The beer selection is the best around and at good prices, without being hugely imaginative. Twenty-something taps including beers from the main PA breweries (Troegs, Victory, Stoudts), some smaller ones (Elk Creek, Erie) and a few too many macros (Blue Moon and downhill from there). The only place in town that serves Newcastle Brown, which would be good if I liked it. Usually a couple of the taps will be off, which is understandable, though I wish they'd cut out a couple of the domestics (is there really a difference?!) in favour of some imaginative out-of-state choices.

The owner Tedd is a character, and I hear he has rubbed some people the wrong way, but I respect what he has done with the place (which until last summer was a Hallmark store). He's a blues fan and that is usually what is playing; he's there most days, sometimes in the kitchen and sometimes with friends out front. There are three large-ish screens for different sports but they are unobtrusive. The space has a long, attractive bar with stools, and a single row of tables (with a long bench on the opposite wall side); it is rather narrow and can feel cramped as the servers squeeze past when it is busy; do the bartenders really need that much space?

Except for snacks to go with your drinks, I'd skip the food.
