Had a layover in Atlanta for about half an hour and decided to grab a drink. We sat at a table and waited.
It took someone almost 10 minutes to just bring us a menu. Then no one came to take our order. After approaching the bar to just tell the bartender what we wanted, she said we can't do that because we're at a table and need to wait for our waitress. THEN WHERE IS SHE, IT'S NOT BUSY AND WE NEED TO LEAVE.
Our waitress comes, takes our order politely, and leaves. After all the waiting, we rushed our drinks with less than 5 minutes to spare before we had to head to our gate. And, of course, she never returned to take our card to pay for the check. We just paid it at the bar and left.
I do not plan on returning to this airport anytime soon but this is horrible. It was not even busy, what were you guys doing?!
I had 20 minutes to catch a flight and told the waiter that I needed something quick. Based on recommendation from waiter, I placed order for a soft drink and fish chips.
Waited did not show any interest in fulfilling my order. After asking multiple times he finally gave me the soft drink, and immediately took my credit card for processing. Fish and chips never arrived, nor did the waiter give any updates. Flight started boarding calls and I walked out of the cafe with a charged credit card and empty stomach. Service is very poor and I will not recommend this cafe for other travelers.
The only nice thing about this place is being able to smoke and drink at the same time. They dont have blenders so all the cocktails are on the rocks. It took quite a while for me to order my drink, so i only got to have one before my plane had to leave. Lastly, I asked the waiter what he thought of a specific drink (Georgia Peach) and he said "oh thats too sweet, its too much of a girly drink".. really?? He should really learn to read his customers and take Server 101 class again.
Review Source:(This is in the Atlanta Airport) Can't give a minus one Star or I would. One of THOSE travel days due to bad weather in New Orleans and Atlanta. Ended up with a delayed flight here and no free wi-fi. What's a girl to do?
Saw free wi-fi here. Yes - we'll go in, have a drink and get free wi-fi. It's a smoking restaurant in the middle of an airport, but they said they could put is in "Non-smoking." OK, great. Half the doors were closed so the very thick smoke couldn't go into the terminal. The non-smoking section was right next to the smoking - with no walls! WTF...how do you call this non smoking. The air was blue.... I had planned to settle in for awhile, but couldn't take it.
Wine glasses are the size of a thimble and expensive. Fried green tomatoes were all batter, no tomato. Served with no silverwear, and no plates. I went to the bar and asked for silver wear. The server looked at me like I dropped a turd on her foot, turned her back and then came back with plastic utensils. Yeah - we can eat. Or not, It was terrible. Joke was on them cause I had a Central Grocery muffalotta in my bag, and we pulled it out and ate it.
Had to leave cause smoke was so bad. Thought I pulled one over on them cause I continued to use the wi-fi from our gate. Until they booted me off in about half an hour. Joke was then on me. Would have been cheaper to purchase wi-fi from the airport and I wouldn't have had a headache from the smoke.
Just walk away from this place.
Hahahahahaha! Why isn't there a zero star button? I am totally stealing this business concept: ten deep fryers and the entire picnic isle of Publix paired with frightened and neglectful service. We were actually disappointed we didn't choose burger king over this. (not that I REALLY expected much from an airport restaurant )
Review Source:We were here early in the morning and wanted a sit down breakfast as opposed to the fast food options. We found ourselves here since it was literally right next to our gate and we had a specific window of time to eat before boarding. The waitress was great and checked with us about how much time we had as we sat down so she could serve us accordingly. The food is overpriced, but then so is all the food served at the airport. My bf had oatmeal and I had a veggie omelet. The food was hot, the service was good and our tummys were happy. Not a bad breakfast option.
Review Source:This place is an expletive expletiving piece of expletive. Â The "hostess" was slow to attend though there was no line. Â It took a server five or seven minutes to come to our table at which point we were told that the food would take 10-15 minutes - though there were no more than five tables waiting. Â Walked out. Â The food is irrelevant in an airport eatery. Â What matters is speed of service and attentiveness to travelers who probably have somewhere to go and don't need the aggravation of a smokey, rinky dink operation. Â Better to get an expletiving Whopper at the nearby Burger King for breakfast. Â If you like this place then we have nothing to talk about, you and I; We are inherently different people. Â But Im in the right on this one. Have a nice day.
Review Source:I encountered "could care less" service from the young male server, but he was bailed out by the lady server who noticed. Food was fair, what you'd expect in Atlanta airport. Â $12 Jerk burger was not impressive, $6 draft was ok. I asked for a glass of water 3 times, from the time I was seated and did not get it until I was paying the bill. Top that all off with a mandatory 15% "gratuity". Now I usually tip 20%, sometimes more. But, when it is added to a party of one with no warning or notice, and service was what I would consider poor, hmmm. I questioned the "gratuity" and was ignored by the staff. I will not return.
Review Source:Loved my food here! Especially for being airport food it was great. Airports' dining options are usually cheap chains with crappy food or relatively expensive chains with OK food but this place had good food at reasonable prices.
I had the fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and collard greens and it was really good! I loved the potatoes and the greens, even if the steak was just OK. Anyway, the food counted as one of the best meals in airport ever, and I am a long range traveler that has to eat in airports often enough.
Service was also great, fast and friendly. They won't have you miss your fly.
I know where to dine next time I fly through Atlanta.
Traveling with a  baby -wanting some  small  food  for  him and myself.  He loved  the greens  and  french fries.  the clerk - Ceceilia was  wonderful  she made  him  laugh while i was trying to  figure out what  to order that he  would eat. The experience and food was great.  we  sat  in the floor by  our gate  and enjoyed  lunch :)  On our  way  to California(  a 5  hour  flight)
Review Source:The food took over 30 minutes to arrive, than our meals came separately about 5 minutes apart. Â I ordered milk and it was served with ice for some reason. Â The woman at the table next to us sent her food back twice. Â Only upside is that the chicken and waffles were actually pretty good.
Review Source:If you are a non-smoker, this review or this place is NOT for you. There are other places at the airport that serve decent food and no one would bother you.
Now, if you do smoke, this is heaven for you. Good diner food (at least by airport standards), prompt service, free Wi-Fi and ability to have a cigarette with a drink and/or coffee. Perfect if you ask me!
During an hour long layover at 7 in the morning, we stopped here because it seemed the lesser if the evils encountered in terminal D. I don't know if we made the right choice. Burger king would have been  easier, tastier, cheaper, and faster. The non smoking section was tiny and not really separate from the smoking section in any real meaningful way. The menu was scant for breakfast, and most was greasy. They are clearly understaffed and service was friendly but unacceptably slow for an airport where people obviously have somewhere they need to be soon. I was initially planning on the veggie omelet, but opted out when i saw my neighbor's. Looked greenish and runny. My wife's biscuits and gravy came out cold and we sent it back. There must be better options here!?!
Review Source:We actually had a good experience here at Sojourner's. Â It would become the best part of our experience of our stay at the terminal considering that our flight was delayed 4 hours, then cancelled, and then we had to wait until 2am for them to send us another plane that got us home to Houston at 4am... but that's not Sojourner's fault =P
We stopped in during our delay and we each sat down along the wall where the soft bench seats were located in the nonsmoking section. Â We wished they had more outlets to plug in our laptops, but overall it was very comfortable and the service was very attentive.
We started with the local brew, and then had an oyster basket to munch on. Â The fried oysters were actually pretty hearty and very tasty and they were served with potato circle wedges or something.
We also had the burger and the shrimp poboy. Â My colleague liked his burger, but honestly... I've had better poboys. Â The bread was just too much... although there was a sufficient amount of shrimp on it.
Overall the food was okay, but considering it was the airport, it wasn't bad. Â
If I have to fly back to ATL, I wouldn't mind coming here again.
I had a short layover from Boston to Dallas this fall and was itching to smoke a cigarette and relax from all the crowding and pushing and moving. I walked past this place and realized not only was my gate just down the hall, but you could smoke indoors!
I went in, sat down with a heiniken and a cigarette and my day improved significantly! For about 7 dollars (tip included) I erased all the bad parts about the person next to me snoring for hours. It's tight in here, you will probably have to share a table, which is cool, cause I struck up a conversation with a nice dude from NC, and shared lighters with other smokers.
The food is a little slow, but you can get it to go. They have a menu that involves alot of foods that you wouldn't want the smell of circulating in the plane air for hours, so I would stick with fries or toast or something like that.
The service was pretty good. I don't expect outstanding things to happen at airports, though.
i had an early afternoon/late morning flight & hadn't eaten breakfast. i stopped in for a bagel & jam which took 25minutes to arrive by one lady who came out of the kitchen to deliver everyone's order. i decided that i should take a sandwich to go since i might get hungry on my 5hr flight back home & peanuts do not sustain any sort of appetite unless you're an emaciated model. that took an additional 25min. though the bill did come to under $10.
as i sat in the small area designated for non-smokers, next to a couple with a baby, i looked at my surroundings: the rest of the area for smokers - 3 tables away under the same roof with no walls making a clear line & the smell of cigarettes in the air, bar, a couple of tvs, & obese employees. i don't think it'll get a michellin award anytime soon.
