Something Grilled Authentic Bbq Smokehouse

First of all, this is NOT a BBQ joint.  A BBQ joint serves BBQ exclusively.  This place is trying to be too many things.  The result is their BBQ (the only thing I've had) suffers a lot.  Between my wife and I, we ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken.  None of it was very good.  Rule #1 with brisket.  You DO NOT slice it paper thin and then drown it in sauce to cover up for the fact that it is now dry because you sliced it thin.  The pulled pork and pulled chicken were half decent, but were drowned in sauce.  Sauce should be a compliment to well smoked meat.  If you drown your food in sauce, you're covering up for subpar meat.

Don't go here for the ambiance, what you will find is some solid BBQ.  The ribs were dry rubbed - which pleased my honey.  I had the open-faced sandwich with pork.  It was a good choice - the meat was extremely tender and flavorful without being too fatty.  

We would stop again if we are back in that area.

We live locally and this is our go-to place for good local eats. We have never been disappointed, and though we can't eat here often (tight budget) this is our spot to splurge, whenever we get the chance.

We are huge fans of the brisket and they have really good burgers. For something different, I'll order the burrito or even the nachos. But, the really do well in their meats, of course, as they are a BBQ!
