My wife and I went to this place this week. I ask about availability of wine. The waitress told us they only had a few different wines. She not only didn't know who the winery was she had no idea what the prices were. Â She asked the bartender to come over and talk to us about it. He turned out to be one of the biggest jerks I have ever run into in the food industry. He said that they do not sell wine by the bottle and that he wasn't sure what the prices were. Â We asked if we could have a taste of the Chardonnay and the Marlot. Â He said that he would give us one if we paid for them. Â We left and went to Larkens. Â As a result, The Pine Crest Inn has removed them from their recommended list.
Review Source:Southside Grill specializes in homestyle cooking combined with some bar food. And, they do have a bar if you're thirsty. Don't let my 3 star rating keep you from dropping by. After a short wait for a table, service was friendly and pretty fast. I didn't love the food I got there but I know a lot of folks really do like this place. And, it's always busy. Â I grew up on this sort of food and just don't appreciate it like I used to. But, I would definitely go back for a second try. We had the fish sandwich, wings, dinner salads and cheeseburgers for the kids. Everything was OK (but there are definitely better wings in town). I'll be back to try something new.
