Spin was far from impressing. Bartender was rude, but drinks were decently strong. The dance floor was empty and DJ was spinning okay music. Not a horrible experience but will def not be back for a long time.

I went with a large group of ladies from a Meetup group for dinner. The owner, wait staff, and chef were very accommodating for us. I think we were a little overwhelming for them, but it was a Wednesday night; I guess most places aren't prepared for such a big group in the middle of the week. I ordered the "Spin salad", which is mixed lettuce with blue cheese and cheddar, topped with grilled steak and french fries. Dressing comes on the side; I recommend the mustard vinaigrette.  Definitely YUMMY!

I ordered a drink called "Dancing Queen" which was grape vodka and creme de cacao and something else; it was strong and delicious (and made me want to keep singing that Abba song)!

The atmosphere  is clean and calm, with grey walls highlighted with red trim and tablecloths (real cloth!). The lighting is low, but adequate, and all in whites and silvers. SO pretty!!

The dance floor is sizable and I can't wait to go back and try it out! I looked at their schedule of upcoming events, and they all look fun and fabulous!

Everything seemed nice and clean, even the bathrooms.

SPIN has been open for a short time in the Arts & Entertainment district in Hagerstown (less than 2 months). Interior design is a big factor for me when I go into an establishment and Bob & John did a fantastic job on the interior. Very cool and stylish. Kudos!

We have enjoyed lunch and dinner there several times. I have always enjoyed their food and they've introduced a new menu already that makes me eager to sample some new stuff.

There isn't a better dance floor in town. I have been to Cancun Cantina and usually end up sticking to the dance floor and having some completely drunken idiot dump their drink on me. The vibe is completely different at SPIN and much more to my liking.

But for me there are two elements that make SPIN special. 1) They are intent on showing their guests a good time. Fun theme parties on the weekends and fun things to do during the week (Taco night on Tuesdays, Game night on Wednesdays, Karaoke on Thursdays). 2) The staff are warm, friendly and recognize us every time we come in.

I'm disappointed that brunch isn't being offered on the weekends any longer and that the late night menu has been discontinued. They're still figuring out their offerings and I'm hopeful brunch and the late night menu will return at some point. After dancing for hours, I get hungry and nothing is open in that area selling food. We have actually packed some food in our car to snack on after dancing!

Mike, the most senior bartender and fun instigator, makes great drinks and shots. They don't have a martini menu or drink menu yet, but I hope that comes along shortly too.

The outdoor patio just got finished and we are looking forward to sitting outside on nice days for lunch and cocktails.

Lastly, this is a gay friendly establishment and there are drag shows and a house drag queen. My husband and I are hetero and have never felt out of place or unwelcome. Plenty of hetero couples and singles frequent this place. Diversity is celebrated and anyone looking to spoil other people's good time are shown the door pretty quickly.

SPIN is an excellent addition to downtown Hagerstown. They are committed to being a part of the community and helping to revitalize downtown. I'm thrilled they are here!

Spin.... the name suggests hot dj's and cool tunes and so far imb pretty impressed.  Through the front window one can see tables for the resturaunt during the day and a pool table for fun at night.  The decore is slick yet understated.  You notice it but its not in your face.  Walking through there is a bar at the back of the ground floor with 3 nice large tv's and a dance floor opposite it through an exposed brick arch.  Down stairs is the VIP area and another dance floor.  This area is more loungyish with exposed stone walls and a high end feel.  I have to admit that having been in the club biz for several years both here in west MD and DC I am NOT easy to please.  One little thing wrong and I'm annoyed for the whole night, especially the music.  The only thing wrong with this evenings festivities is that the coat check isn't open but putting that aside I have to admit that I'm really impressed.  Sure beats the hell outta that old dump "The Lodge".
