This is a beautiful building located in Woonsocket.  I was surprised by how beautiful it was, especially on the inside.  I saw Jesus Christ Superstar here and was impressed.  The theater itself is fairly small so it doesn't seem like there are any bad seats.

There's something about sitting in an old theatre (with an "-re"...not a "-er") that cannot be replicated in any fashion.  The Stadium Theatre was built in 1926 and the grandeur of the Vaudeville era has been preserved for the enjoyment of theater-going.  The weekend prior, my beau and I attended one of my favorite Christmas classics, "A Christmas Carol," at the Stadium and we couldn't believe the gem that is tucked away in Woonsocket.

*Seating perfection: Each and every seat has a great view (and you'll have over 1000 to choose from).  The seats are well-made (they are comfortable, stain-free, and don't squeal like a Christmas hog every time you reposition yourself).
*Only slightly more expensive than going to your local multi-plex (only you're supporting a LOCAL production put on by LOCAL actors).  The Stadium offers affordable prices for a wide range of performances.
*"What about CONCESSIONS?!" You say????  They've got'cha covered; popcorn (4$) candy (sugary sweetness or sugar-free) runs about 2$50, and they even have Yoohoo!  For the grown-ups: don't forget to tip your bartender (wine, beer, and a small selection of liquors for mixed libations are available: 4-7$).  What's more: you can TAKE your snacks and bevies into the theater with you!
*Private parking lot had PLENTY of parking (fo' FREE!), but was a little .....dark.  The side entrance way/alley to the theater was well-lit and clean (buuut I'm still glad that I had an escort to my vehicle).

The Stadium also is available to rent (if you're putting on your OWN production), or for summer programs ("Kids Kamp" and "Teen Summer Stock").  And while we were mingling during the intermission, we discovered that the Stadium is screening "The Polar Express" on 12/23 at 7pm.....for FREE!  What a great treat for children (ahem...and adults, too).  It's a beautifully preserved theater, and with a full calendar of performances they're sure to have a little something for everyone (even gift certificates, if you're in stocking stuffer-mode)!

Absolutely beautiful inside! I went here about a month ago to see "Ghost Hunters Live" and was blown away from all of the architectual details and intricate paintings. Every seat has a great view of the stage! You can also purchase drinks at their cocktail bar or visit the snack bar. Parking can be a bit tricky, but if you drive around the area you're sure to find a spot eventually.

Attended "Dinner and Comedy with Father Misgivings," starring radio personality David Kane.  As with other cabaret style performances at the Stadium Theater, a buffet dinner preceded the arrival of the good Father.

There are no bad seats in the house although the largest table only seats 8.  If there are more in your party, prepare to be split into multiple groups.  Food in the buffet line was extremely limited, however every selection was extremely well prepared and absolutely delicious.  A word of caution, though: vegetarians would have been limited to the salad.

David Kane's performance as Father Misgivings, a Roman Catholic priest, is hilarious.  This was one of the rare comedy shows where you laugh continuously from start to finish.  While you don't have to be Catholic to appreciate the humor, it does help.  Some of the finer points will be lost on those that didn't grow up Catholic.  The only downside to the performance is that it only lasts an hour.  Kane definitely leaves you hungry for more.

Parking in the area is somewhat limited, although it's not a problem for the cabaret style shows.  Best bet for the cabaret is to park in the large lot directly behind the theater.  If you're attending one of the regular performances, check the theater's website for a list of business that allow free theater parking for evening performances.

Overall, this is an excellent deal.  Dinner and show cost a total of $40 including the various handling / restoration fees.  For the quality of the food and the performance, it's a steal.

I have been here on a couple of different occasions and enjoyed my experiences both times. It's a beautiful old theater and it is maintained very well. They recently got a new electronic marquee that made me sad to see the old school "black letter" one go.
The people who work there volunteer their time are really friendly and helpful. I'm sure they could tell you the history of the Stadium if you asked them! Acoustics are very good and since it is a smaller theater, it feels cozy and intimate, not cramped.
I would definitely recommend going to see a show here, not only for the performance, but also for how comfortable you will feel just being there. The parking is easy and there are a couple of nice restaurants you can just walk to for dinner before or after the show.

Went here this past weekend for a Johnny Cash tribute concert. It was a really fun night. The theater has recently had a huge renovation, and it's located in the center of Woonsocket, so it's pretty easy to get to.
They don't have their own parking lot, but there is free parking down the street and also behind the building.
Tickets were pretty inexpensive (we had balcony seats and they were $20/each) Our view was just fine, I doubt there was a bad seat in the place.  I ordered the tickets on-line on the Tuesday before, and we got them on Thursday.. fast!
They have a bar (wine, mixed drinks, beer) and snack bar, but they are both cash only. That was the only thing that was disappointing.
