taken out by friend with local knowledge, hit it just right for the Wednesday special, dinner for two, appetizer, entree, desert for $28.00, or $32.00 with a bottle of wine, or pitcher of beer.

Service was great  (yay Alexa!), wine was nice, food was good, large portions, tasty. Friend had the Strawberry/Banana bread pudding for desert, and was super! I had carrot cake, and it was yummy too.....

    Will be back!!

This is certainly not the Woonsocket of yore!

Background: I grew up in Woonsocket.  I lived there until I was 13, when my parents moved me to a 'nicer suburb,' but I return pretty often since most of my family is still there.  After visiting my grandmother in the hospital recently, we were in search of a nice place to go for lunch, and the mister was looking for a place that carried some RI-brewed beer.  A quick search led us to River Falls, which I was happy to read, carried Ma Glockner's cinnamon rolls.  Yes.

So off we went, and what a lovely building we found!  Right on the water, lots of stone, beautiful building, lovely!  Not the Woonsocket of my childhood, that's for sure.

Some of the highlights: a vegetarian pasta dish featuring tortellini, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes, grilled flatbread pizza, good iced tea, and of course, those cinnamon rolls.  I packed those bad boys up and took them home for later.  They didn't let me down.

Service was lovely, and they have live music now and then.  The biggest disappointment was that they were all sold out of those RI-brewed beers which drew us there in the first place, but they did have other good options so it turned out ok in the end.

Happy to have happened upon River Falls!

Really nice building. It's an old mill redone so it's kinda cool. Inside its two levels but upstairs is open up to lower level that makes it a great view for watching a band. I've never eaten here but I hear good things. This is the spot to hit on Thursday nights. They got drink specials and their better bands play. It's packed with people of all kinds. That's when I'm there.
