I attended a dinner last night for my son's football team. The kids were free, but it was $15 a head for the parents, which was fine. The "buffet" they served was salad greens, baked fries, penne in what appeared to be canned plum tomatoes. And chicken fingers. the buffet was served to us by servers who gave us each a scoop of pasta, about 6 fries and a single chicken finger. NOT ONLY was this food absolutely AWFUL, they barely gave you any of it! Â I have been in the restaurant business for 20 years. I would not only be embarrassed to serve this, I would have felt guilty charging people $4.95 a head for it. Also, my husband and I ordered a couple of beers at the bar and when we didn't pick up our change fast enough the bartender scooped it up as a tip! 2 beers and you think I was leaving you a $4 tip? I will never go back.
Review Source:Finally gave SteelHouse a try after years of driving past the tremendous neon sign.
I thought this was a microbrewery, it's not. Service was a bit spotty. We arrived in the no man's land of lunch turning into dinner. Our server was a bit clueless but did his best to take care of us and maintain a sense of humor.
The building and location is great. The menu is huge. Dinner wasn't especially memorable but not bad.
Maybe I should buy a boat.
