I love this pizza! I have worked at pizza restaurants for 9 years, grew up eating pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner, and am not afraid to admit it is my favorite food. Stuft pizza has got to be in my top 3 pizza places of all time. I like pizz'a Chicago, but their sausage just doesn't do it for me. Stuft nails it. I really like Mission Pizza in Fremont, but their sauce leaves a little something to be desired. Stuft NAILS it! Even their wings are crispy and fantastic. And on top of it all, their staff doesn't suck. What more could you ask for? Now if only I could convince them to get a wood fire oven for some insanely delicious thin crust, I'd never go anywhere else. Love this place!!!
Review Source:Richard Pro here with another review.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect this pizza to taste so thick, rich, and delicious. A large is pretty pricey but you get huge, fat, thick slices. I gotta say, they are darn thick.
Toppings are fresh and generous.
4 stars. Would return again!
In my opinion, one of the best pizzas in town! I've had a couple of their pies and I love the thick crust. Absolutely. Delicious. It's also a great place to watch any sporting even as they've got flat-screen TVs all over the place. Plus, there's 10-15 different draft beers to choose from. Great experience, friendly staff, if you haven't tried the place, you've gotta check it out!
Review Source:Hide the pizza...or I will eat it all. We're faithful Stuft Pizza fans, haven't been disappointed yet. Service is great, and we especially love that we can order ahead of time to pick up and go. And thanks Stuft Pizza for introducing me to the unique experience/flavor of honey drizzled on pizza. YUM!
Review Source:Being a chicago guy, I'm typically hard on Bay area pizza but this was actually surprisingly good pan pizza. Â Also, a great sports bar for the area, there are not as many around as you would think for Milpitas/SJ area. Â Family owned. Â They could use longer happy hour/food specials. Â They had Goose Island (Chicago Brewery) so that was a plus, pretty good selection on tap. Â Lots of tvs, great for watching games...only downside is that the owner is a lakers fan, lol.
Review Source:I can only count to 10 so I'm not exactly sure how many flat-screen TV's Stuft Pizza has. The point is, this pizza place is an absolutely awesome venue to catch whatever sports game is on that day. The lighting is dim so eat up and don't worry about having to suck in your stomach as no one will be able to see.
Order pizza at the front, bring your number to whatever table you please, and your pizza will be brought to you by the polite staff.
The pizza, however, could use a little bit of improvement. The toppings tasted fantastic and the meat was absolutely delish. However, one of my favorite parts of a pizza pie, the crust, was a bit too hard for my taste. Maybe it was an off day, but I expected better from Stuft Pizza.
4 outta 5 stars for perfect game-watching ambience, friendly staff, and efficient service. The missing star was for the rock-hard crust.
This Stuft Pizza location has been around for about 20 years and it's even better than before. They have upgraded the place with over a dozen flat screens, great service and intriguing happy hour. If you're a sport nut or you just like to drink and chill, this place is for you. Not to mention the quality pizza that Stuft Pizzas are known for. They offer every Tuesday a large one topping for $10.99. Happy hour are from 2pm - 5pm Mon-Thurs. If you're a thick crust fan like myself, this place is hands down the best in the business.
Review Source:TV, BEER, and PIZZA GALORE!!!!
Been to Stuft pizza twice, once for dinner on a week day and once for lunch on a weekend.
For dinner, I went to watch the 49ers game. They have beer specials on the week day (I believe it was $5 for a 34oz beer). That got me pretty happy/excited for the game! The pizza is great too, there's a big selection of variety of pizza and they let you do half and half without extra charge like most places. Definitely a big plus! Had some of the wings there as well, which were terrific.
For lunch, I ordered a large pizza and a pitcher of beer. Unfortunately they don't have the beer special on weekends, but their pitchers aren't too bad ($12 for domestic). They have tons of beer on tap , so makes it pretty great to have a drink and enjoy your pizza.
Pizza wise, I recommend getting Cornucopia (has almost EVERY meat you can think about putting on a pizza with olives, mushroom, tomato, and onion, so think of it as an ultra-Combo).
Overall, the place is priced really fair, food is awesome, and a great place to watch your favorite sporting event!
I've been checking out pizza places lately. I've been looking for a place that nails it with the crust, cheese, sauce, and toppings. A friend suggested I try Stuft in Milpitas. To date this place hit above average on everything I look for. I ordered the extra large Stuft special, with a coupon I printed from their website.
The crust was soft and chewy, sauce was was perfectly seasoned without being overwhelming and distracting from the other flavors. The cheese was stringy not oily, and the toppings covered the entire pizza, wow! No empty gaps of naked cheese going on here!
All of that going full speed to flavor town for under $28. A monster of a pizza fully loaded. I really don't mind paying a little extra if I know I'm getting the real deal. As for beer, they are fully stocked with a large list of suds available on tap. I had a pint of Newcastle on tap that hit the spot while I waited for my order. You gotta love that!
The only downside is that it is on the small side when compared to other joints. That being said they really make the most of the space they have. Personally I'm a take it to go kind of guy anyway so it doesn't really matter to me. It's all about the pizza. I took a photo of this bad boy, check it out.
i have lived in milpitas all my life and this is my first time at this Stuft Pizza location. SERIOUSLY! it was right behind my house this whole time! i thought it was near the parktown plaza/saver's plaza on the other side.
this is a good place to be for groups, watch sport games -- huge tvs all around -- hard to pick which screen you want to watch.
we weren't planning to order wings but the table next to us ordered a huge order of wings and we just couldn't resist. it was delicious!
we also ordered combo and pepperoni with pineapple. they were both DELICIOUS!
service was great too. asked for water cups for a group of 12.
great place to be at if you want to enjoy the game and eat some delicious pizza!
I came here on Sunday for the 49er game...
I was sad to see that there was either a hair or a bug on a pepperoni that looked as if it were burnt onto the pizza...
So I went back and they had made a me completely new pizza and also gave me a refund.
Excellent customer service, I'm sure this was just a one time thing because this has never happened before.
Hopefully they will double check their pizzas
I heard of this place from a friend and it did not disappoint.
If you want to watch sports there is NO shortage of big screen TVs. Â This is sports fanatic heaven.
The pizza is really good! Â The standard pizza is really fluffy so you get a little more dough than I would like, but they don't skimp on toppings and the flavors come through.
If you live further east, I heard that the Santa Clara location has a $12 large pepperoni deal on Tuesdays. Â Not sure if they have that here.
The atmosphere was fantastic, 7:30pm Warriors/Lakers tip off. Packed house, free wifi, both Lakers (boo) and Warriors fans (YAY), all intermingled and ready for the great game. There were TVs EVERYWHERE. I mean everywhere, except the bathroom. Rowdy and fun place to watch a local sports game. That plus the wifi feeding my need to get a second by second fantasy update, I'm set.
A friend and I had their sampler platter and their Cornucopia pizza and were delightfully satisfied. It is by no means our best pizza experience, but the pizzas had fresh ingredients, hot when it came out and solid crust. The sampler had wings, mozzarella sticks and fries. It was not a great mix for sampler, but it was good food. Nothing special. I wished there were some of their other appetizer items instead.
It was a good value, but not fantastic, I'd probably not get the sampler again. Comfortable seating, awesome atmosphere. My new goto place hands down for sports.
4/5! If not 4.5/5
I could not believe me eyes that I saw a Stuft Pizza as I was driving up the street with my boyfriend. Â We haven't seen a Stuft pizza in over 15 years! Â They used to be so popular in our childhood, yes in the 80s. Â We turned the car around and ordered a small pizza for two. Â Sadly it wasn't as good as I remembered it. Â The sauce has changed or something? Â As for the bread portion, that was plump and tasty. Â Still an overall good pizza, but not the one from the 80s.
I really enjoyed the over abundance of huge flat screens all over the wall space. Â If you are into sports, this place will for sure wet your whistle. Â If and when the Sharks ever play again, I'd consider coming back here and order another item from the menu or just stick with a pizza.
Hidden gem! Been visiting more often than I should -horrible place for someone on a low carb diet. The food is WOW. I've tried the hot wings (great for someone that wants spicy, has more meat than most places that overcook their wings and the meat dries out), spaghetti and meatballs, chicken fingers, and too many pizzas (both thin and their perfect puffy crust)...everything so far has been delicious!!! Let me warn you, it's an addicting place!
For the guys, they have more flat screens than you can imagine. The place is covered with them. Great for watching sports!
I miss the Santa Clara location and I love pizza so I was bound to try this place. Â As luck would happen it's one of the places where we order for family dinners and parties. Â The crust is thick, the cheese is gooey (in a good way) and the toppings are fresh. Â Sometimes the pies are excellent sometimes they're just good.
Review Source:Television screens. everywhere. Huge ones and hung up high. There are two dining areas. The first one is small and the seats are mostly high stools with some tvs in the room. The other dining area is huge and the first thing I noticed, was the lot of plasma televisions up high. And on one wall, theres this huge bulk of a tv, surrounded by smaller tv screens. What irritated me the most was that ALL of these screens were playing only 3 different channels. Why do I need to see the same show from three tv screens that are lined up next to eachother?!
I noticed 2 family parties, and 1 group behind us. After deciding on what to order (Half Pepp. & Half Cornucopia), we waited for someone to come to the register to greet and take our order. We waited. And waited. And we waited until finally (10-15 mins) a latina chick came to the register and took our order. As we went to get our drinks and find a table we liked, we noticed that in the back were 6 employees just standing! Plus the girl at the register who was taking the next persons order. How is it that there are 7 people and not one person is out in front to maintain the restaurant and/or greet anyone that may come in????
Kids running around screaming and laughing. A group of male coworkers bonding over beer and breadsticks. And another group of guys eating and going on their laptops. This seemed like a let loose, whatever type of place for sport junkies, the guys, and passive parents with kids who enjoyed jumping on booths and screaming bloody mary.
Within 15 mins of ordering, our pizza came out and all I can say is, I never had a really good pepperoni pizza until now. Surprisingly the Cornucopia was not good at all -- the ingredients obviously tasted NOT fresh and everything kept falling off. It was basically eating a pizza with salami and ham, and picking up bits of the other ingredients off the plate and stuffing it in my mouth. But that pepperoni pizza, man. The slighty spicy, perfectly cooked slices of pepperoni, held down by the perfect amount of cheese. Theres too much bread for my liking, so I had a lot of ripped up dough pieces on my plate. And this place definitely does have a knack for their crunchy, thick crust.
Would I be back? On 2 occasions: I received a gift card to eat here OR my dinner date absolutely, stubbornly wanted this place for dinner. The latter would most likely happen, and whenever it does, I'll definitely be getting the pepperoni pizza and nothing else!
Stuft Pizza is the first place I stop when I am back in the bay! I love just about everything here, but their pepperoni pizza will always be my favorite! The beer selection on tap is pretty good too. There are a ton of TVs and you can watch just about any sporting event that is on.
I would definitely recommend Stuft Pizza to anyone looking for a great pizza and a fun place to watch sports!
yummm! Â Lunch with out with the boys today. Â great pizza! Â great company! Â the crust was exceptional... and I don't really like the crust part of the pizza. Â Whatever they do, how the pizza is made, I LOVE it! I'm stuft LOL.
Seems like this place would be great to go hang out with friends, maybe catch a game or something sporty. Â Nice atmosphere. Â It was dark and cool but worked really well.
Maybe they could have left some of the TVs at home because there are about a dozen but I guess that's how sports fanatics like to watch their sports?
Great place for families or a group of friends to enjoy a pizza. On Tuesdays they have a deal for a Large one topping pizza for $10. You can order half and half toppings.
I had their Large half ham, half sausage pizza, chicken wings, potato wedges, and salad bar. I went a little crazy on the salad and packed it up like a mountain. The pizza is fluffy and cheesy. The wings are pretty decent.
I would love to come back again on Tues for the $10 deal.
Ok walked here from the casita for the A's/Giants game, and well worth it!! Â Tons of screens to watch any sport event, along with a dozen or so beers on tap, so of course we had to have a pitcher or two. Â We ordered The Bogey pizza, it was deliciously tasty, enough meat and sauce, with a little soft crunch to the crust. Â Adding the honey they place on every table to your end crust made it over the top!!!
Will be here again, but will definitely wear walking shoes
Pizza is seriously yummy here, anything with pineapples please! The buffalo wings are good too, everything else- I will pass. The other items on the menu are not really satisfying to me and are to high in calories, so might as well pass. Definitely not a place you can eat everyday. Not healthy and there is no whole wheat crust option but for sure a top pick if I'm in the mood for pizza.
Great place to watch a game because there is a zillion tvs everywhere.
YUMM-O! Came here last night with coworkers to watch my two boys JLin and DRose play! We ordered the spicy chicken wings, garlic bread, and the hawaiian pizza. The garlic bread was HELLA cheesey!!! If you like that, you should get it. 500+ calories probably but that thought kinda went out the door once you take your first bite. The chicken wings were pretty good too. Spicay! Meaty! Me likey! I'm not big on hawaiian so I thought the pizza was just OK. I like that it was fluffy tho! The Ranch dipping sauce was very thick and creamy. Mm mm mm! Put that baby on everything. Don't come here if you're on a diet.
This place was def a good place to watch the game at. Not too expensive and TVs everrrrrrrrrrrrywhere. They have wifi too!
This is the pizza place of my childhood. Â I did not grow up on Pizza Hut, Domino's, or Little Caesar's. Â My memories of a good pizza place involve coming to Stuft Pizza every 2 weeks to eat all the pizza I thought I deserved as a child, though minus the the beer and TV they are also known for. Â This place also gets a reward for having pizza that tastes damn good the next day.
I like to think of the pizza here as Costco pizza, but better (that being said, I think Costco pizza is pretty damn good). Â It has to do with all the great flavors and combinations of toppings that really give each bite with a mouthful of great flavor, supported by a just-crunchy-but-soft-enough crust. Â The flavors you find here are not of the subtle type- they are bold flavors with very distinguishable toppings and are sure to leave you full and satisfied. Â You won't find any "soft" flavors that cater to a gourmet taste. Â Instead, this is the place for you if you crave meat lovers or combination flavor. Â This is good, because Stuft Pizza specializes in making thick crusts, which is perfect for stuffing pizzas with a ton of flavor. Â The crust on the sides are always soft and delicious, always leaving me with carb-inducing guilt.
I know this place is also known for showing sports on their many TV's, and it is common for people to come and have some beer and pizza and watch the game. Â This isn't my thing, but I think it would be good if that is your sort of thing.
Overall, a great place for thick and flavorful pizza.
My boyfriend and I are regulars here on Sundays or whenever we feel like eating pizza and watching a sports game (when he's in the bay). This place has awesome pizza and a lot of TVs - It's almost like sports heaven when Sunday football games are on.
Large pizzas are around $25. I love the Cornucopia and Garlic Lemon Chicken Pizzas - they are drool worthy. Their wings are pretty good, too!
Usually, the service is what I expect at a walk-in-and-order type of a restaurant, but today, the girl that took my order was kind of rude. Besides the attitude, she didn't give me a number for my order. We had to flag down the worker with our pizza who was looking for the order number on our table.
I think the food is a little on the expensive side, but the perks of having a bunch of sports to watch definitely makes up for it.
So, I recently received a message from the proprietor of Stuft Pizza about my review. He corrected me on lots of my gripes about their menu.
So my CONS turned into PROS when he told me that:
- They do offer a smaller pizza, an 8" that's currently not on their menu, so many customers are unaware of it.
- They also customize their calzones. They'll substitute any ingredient of your choice except for raw meats such as sausage. Pepperoni, Salami, and Ham are all in the clear.
With this new found knowledge I can't wait to come back and order myself a customized calzone.
Too many TVs for me... I felt overwhelmed with like every flat screen in my eye all around me in such enclosed small space. Â If the venue itself was larger, I don't think I would have a problem.
You go here, to not have a really good talk.. you go here to eat, drink, and watch tv.
Thanks to Groupon I spent $10 on a medium size pizza, garlic bread, and sodas. Â Woohoo!!!
The pizza here is fluffy and filling. Â I like it! I especially like there crust, where it is not too thick and filled with dough like some other places. Â My first pizza slice here, was, shall i say.... spicy! Â I was sprinkling my pizza with red pepper flakes, when some kid probably was messing around with the can... and my slice ended up covered with a mountain of red peppers! WOoohoo!!!!! damn kids.
Ranch dipping sauce... is the bomb! Â It's the good thick kind. Â Not the watered down kind you get at many places to save money! Â This came with our side of garlic bread, which comes in 10 pieces.
Friendly staff and if I were to be in the area again, why not come back!
Saturday afternoon after signing our boys up for tae kwon do we stopped off at Stuft Pizza for some lunch. We were planning to sign the boys up for soccer but decided not too as the practice day and time would conflict with the boys set tae kwon do schedule.
My husband ordered a large pizza. Half Hawaiian and Cornucopia pizza. He also paid for salad bar. The pizza was good. Stuft Pizza is very generous with their toppings. Prices are reasonable. -1 star for not having unlimited salad bar like other pizza joints :
I am so freegin' tired. Â We had Noah's bagels for breakfast, and Stuft Pizza for lunch, and leftover Stuft Pizza for dinner. Â And lots of fruit and veggie tray food in-between.
I'm sick of pizza, it was okay, nothing fantastic. Â Seemed like it had everything on these pizzas which is not my fav, but can't complain, it was food and we had to eat. Â And I drank about a gallon of Starbucks coffee... first hot, then warm, then alot cold.
20 hours straight... its brutal. Â Picking at cold pizza like stray dogs dig through the trash. Woof!
Wanna make the guys (and you) happy? Â Go to Stuft Pizza... they have yummy pizza and chicken wings, pitchers of beer and lot's of flat screen TV's around with a variety of sports games blaring out of them.
We ended up here for my boyfriend's birthday the other night and man, was HE happy! Â There were 3, count them THREE, games on that he wanted to watch at the same time... the Sharks and some others... I think Yao was playing... idonnobutYaorocks... Â anyway, he was as happy as it gets for sports and food. Â
Basically, we ordered 3 x-large pizza's; The Stuft Speciality (which was the favorite), some Chicken pizza (which was also good) and then an all-meat pizza (which I didn't try but others liked). Â The next time I go though, I'm getting the Valentino. Â That's exactly my taste!
Notes: So, I'm checking out their website right now and it doesn't list beer but I'm sure they have it. Also, they have some great coupons listed so print them out before you go! I'll definitely do that when I go back. http://www.stuftpizzahom…
They were cool with us bringing in our own birthday cake. Â They employees were nice, even gave us lil bowls and fresh forks to eat it with.
Oh yeah, they also have a many salad options and a bar thingy, calzones, sandwiches, and various appetizers and desserts. Â
See ya there!
(It's tucked across and back from Burger King, right off the 680 and Montague.)
