My husband and I stopped into Sully's for lunch one weekend. We both ordered a half and half, the crab cakes, which came with french fries. The half and half was the worst pour I'd ever had (not a layer of Guinness floating on top of the Harp, but all mixed together). Really, in an 'Irish Pub'? Then our lunch came. The fries were left over from the day before and dunked into the deep fryer to reheat. The crab cakes were barely browned and were cold in the middle. We both sent our orders back to the kitchen for reheating. They were back out to us within a minute or so. Not a good sign. Yup, that's right, the yahoo working in the kitchen put them in the MICROWAVE. Who microwaves seafood, for heaven's sake?! It was burning hot in some spots, room temperature in others, and rubbery and tasteless from the microwave. The waitress came back and asked how things were. I pushed my plate away and said "The crab cakes were microwaved." She looked stricken and apologized, and asked if I wanted a box to take it home. No, I certainly did not. We hardly touched our meals, and my husband complained again to her about the food. No offer to reduce the price or anything. Horrible, horrible food. Oh, I'd originally ordered the grilled reuben sandwich (which, incidentally, is spelled incorrectly on their menu). The waitress came back and said that the cook told her the ingredients for the reuben looked a little dodgy and I should order something else. Should've left then and there. Ugh. Will NEVER go back.

Stopped in because of a recomendation from a local person.   The place is nice, not fancy, full of the history of the locals and the area.  The food was very good.  I had the crab cake sandwich.  It  was fresh and very tasty, not a huge proportion but enough.  My husband had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. He said it was very good as well.   Would go back again, and recommend it to anyone looking for casual dining.

We recently stopped at Sully's after attending the wake of a dear friend and family member.  We were immediately welcomed, and made to feel at home by the kind and caring staff!!!
The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere, comfortable.
Mr. Sullivan himself even was gracious enough to play some favorite Irish Tunes on the Juke Box in honor of our loss!!
Great history, great food, and some fantastic Craic!!!!!

No frills no thrills type bar.

Old, young and pretty damn spacious (the bar you pervs).

Lots and lots of friendly staff, mixed in with a very very interesting crowd. I won't elaborate as I like to make people use their imagination.

I don't know if it was me but that night I was there, it seemed I was dead set on drinking everything in the bar. Whiskey. Vodka. Fireball shots...everything. What was even more impressive was every time I went back to the bar to buy a round, my drinks kept getting cheaper and cheaper.

They had a live acoustic set which was getting in the way of my alcohol consumption but once they finished, I was no longer at time out. Full steam ahead.

But I did manage to pick up some key notes: whoever you order a shot from will pour you a different measurement. The one male bartender/server only served shots in the mini plastic shot glasses. We're not in 6th grade buddy. This other female bartender would serve shots in the regular shot glasses, concave shaped. Ok. The best female bartender (didn't get name or pics - I can't creep in a different state - I'm from NYC ya'll) would pour all our shots into a rocks glass, 1/4 the way. It tasted more like 2 shots. Yes, I measured. I thought her first pour was a fluke accident so I proceeded to experiment. Ordered a round from male tender 1, no. Ordered a round from female tender 2. eh. Ordered a round through my home girl tender 3, score.

The outdoor seating is also nice but we left that area for the folk looking for some serious conversation. Mr. Rogers much?

Excellent seafood even though the eating area is in the bar area which is very noisy with the normal Irish bar patrons and loud music but we would eat there often if we were residents of the area. and we ate there during Friday happy hour.

I think they just opened. I don't know what it was called before ?
We where down here for the hummers parade.  Sully's has very large outdoor seating, very clean inside. service was friendly and fast even on middletowns busiest day of the year. cool spot to pull the bike up and chill for a cold one i think they had 8 beers on tap.  as far as food there is a seafood place next door to them with a window that you order food and they bring it over to you ! also there is a killer hot dog place across the street that you can order at the bar and they bring it over to you.  so weather riding a bicycle or Harley or sport bike or for some reason find yourself in middletown DE. check this place out.
