This place is an institution in Rockland. It's been there for at least 25 years that I know of. I go once in a while (maybe 2-3 times a year) and the food is always pretty consistent. Is it the best food around? No. Is it a fancy place? No. But it is a good place to get a reasonably priced, albeit unhealthy, meal. Last time I went, I got the blue cheese burger. I asked for it as rare as possible, and they almost delivered (guess they were afraid to make it too red). My husband asked for his bacon cheeseburger mid-rare, but it was medium. However, both burgers were huge, well-seasoned, and decently cooked. The time before that, I had the blue cheese filet Mignon sliders off the appetizer menu. A bit too much blue cheese sauce/dressing on them, but still good. Onion rings are equally good. Overall, I'd come here when I feel like cheating on my diet and want a casual lunch or quick, cheap dinner. It's rare to get a meal for 2 for under $25 these days without going to a chain. This fits the bill for that mood.
