Staff was very friendly, server was quick and on point. Â The food is typical that you find at an airport which is out of a box and probably already weighed out for portion control. Â At this point, who cares really. Â I didn't get sick, I had great sit down and get waiting on service and was even able to sit comfortably in a sardine can.
Review Source:Had time for some lunch between flights at B-10 gate so stopped in for a burger. Wife had the chicken sandwich which she loved. My burger was OK but the bottom of the sandwich was very hot to the touch. Though the place was jumping with patrons my burger may have spent too much time in the warming tray. Overall I would go back though the waitress was very friendly and on the spot.
Review Source:Whether you're looking for breakfast or a quick snack, this is a great place in the B terminal. Â The first time I visited Sweet Water I gasped when the price appeared on the cash register for the prepackaged club salad I purchased just as I heard the gate attendant make a "last call" for my flight. Â I didn't have time to discuss the issue further or to even cancel the order, so off with the ridiculously expensive salad I went. When I began to eat it though I realized that there was a lot of food! Â The salad served as three meals for me, which was well-worth the price! Â So, when I was flying back through Atlanta, I thought of no other place than Sweet Water to get breakfast before an early morning flight. Â The gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant and inviting, particularly given the time of day and my bacon, egg and cheese on a kaiser roll was even more pleasing. Â Sweet Water may be better known as a draft house but they also have pretty good food as well!
Review Source:I had some time before my flight and wanted a more substantial meal that the fruit and cheese plate that is my go-to on Delta flights. Â Lucky for me, my flight was right across from Sweetwater, and there was no line to be seated. Â Usually when I walk by this place, it's pretty packed.
I sat at the bar, which I recommend for fastest service. Â I got a pint of Happy Ending and the Big Kahuna fish sandwich with coleslaw. Â I was carded, as is everyone, since they have cameras to make sure that their servers are checking. Â The sandwich was a fried fish filet on a thick hoagie roll with lettuce, tomato, and green onion. Â No sauce on it, though the bartender did ask if I wanted tartar sauce on the side. Â The fillet was a little overfried in that the batter was a little too brown, but the fish inside was just right. Â I ended up eating it by itself since it was too much bread without any sauce and the tomato was mealy (it was February). Â The coleslaw had a sweetish vinaigrette sauce rather than being creamy, which made me like it more.
If you can get a seat at the bar, stop in for a pint of your favorite local brew.
Imagine having a 2+ hour layover and wanting to find a nice place to relax in an airport... don't even think about coming here! The bar is flooded with fruit flies, the staff is completely rude, and the food looked sub-par. Luckily, they kicked me out of my seat before I could even taste the food. Yes, they gave away the hubby's seat while he went to get our daughter from another part of the airport. When I asked them to wait 15 minutes, the host said sorry, we need to pay the bills! I was two sips into my drink...So, I took all of our luggage and scooted off to Intermezzo. Now that place was somewhere to relax for a couple hours. Thanks, but no thanks to Sweetwater!
Review Source:Had a 2 hour layover and had to return to this airport gem. Â Every time I'm in ATL connecting I make it a point to come by here and enjoy some Sweetwater 420. Â The staff were the most considerate and friendly people. Â Got in my order just as the kitchen was closing and made sure I was taken care of. Great location, great beer.
Review Source:Sorry to make this one short, but my experience didn't last long. Â I know I like the 420 pale ale and I had been traveling for 40+ hours straight before I had to get on one last plane. Â Having been in central America for a month I needed some hops in my life.
There wasn't much time, but I made it happen. Â No food, no water, no tab, just pour me 2 beers, I'll pay ya and be off. Â Bartender was quick and polite. Â Job well done.
What a great idea. Â Atlanta airport supposedly being the busiest in the world, why would you not want to advertise your local awesomeness.
2 thumbs up, 5 stars, whatever you wanna call it, if your coming through Atlanta airport and have a couple extra minutes I highly recommend you spend them here.
This is the only place in the entire Atlanta airport that serves good beer.
The positive of course being the really good beer. They only have 3 or 4 on tap at a time so don't expect a wide array of options, but I've enjoyed everything I've had so far. The food was nothing special, but it's passable and forgivable when you take the beer into account. I also have found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable while providing quick service.
The only real negative of this place is size. Its way too small of a location for how popular it is. They also have jammed way too many tables into the tiny space so its difficult to navigate with a decent sized roller bag in tow.
I can't speak to the food or beverages, but i can certainly rate the customer service, which is PLATINUM.
My daughters stopped at the airport location while waiting for a flight back to NY. My younger daughter left her coat at the grill. She didn't realize that she had left it until she was at the departure gate. She called us and asked that we check with the restaurant.
I called and spoke to Lee. He checked and told me that they had the coat. Of course, we could not go down to Concourse B without a ticket or gate pass, so Lee volunteered to send someone up  to the terminal with the coat.
This morning at about 1130, we arrived at the airport and called lee. He sent someone up to meet us right away.
My daughter manages a group of restaurants in NY so it's nice to see that the customer service attitude that she instills in her staff also applies to Lee and his staff.
Thanks, Lee!
Only decent beer stop in the Atlanta airport. Â Always busy but worth the stop for quality, fresh Sweet Water drafts. Â In fact, I gladly pay for the selection here even though I could drink Sweet Water 420 at no charge at the Sky Club directly across at B10.
Still can't understand those that take up spots at the bar to order BMC which is available anywhere.
Food is average bar food at typical airport prices - I'd recommend the mini crab cake salad.
I like good beer. I LOVE good beer. and good beer one of the few redeeming factors of being in the Atlanta airport with some time to spare.
I only drank here, having picked up some fast food earlier. waiter Jerome was a cool guy, I was talking to him and some random Southerners about various microbrews. always good to meet fellow beer fanatics!
tried three beers - they were out of SweetWater Brown Ale, their big award-winner so I went for the 420 Pale Ale, the Festive Winter Ale, and the IPA. all were crisp, hoppy, and really refreshing. the Festive was probably my favorite of the three - it clocks in at around 9%, and is thus served in a smaller glass (the other brews come in 20-ouncers). Festive Ale is great because unlike some strong beers, it doesn't taste overly sweet, and in keeping with the style of winter beer, has a good balance of malt and spices.
before I knew it, I was ready to take a booze-induced nap on my flight to JFK! and $24 for three quality beers - I'd say it was well spent!
sidenote, I made new friends while drinking in the South due to my love of beer, enthusiasm for firearms, the fact that I drive an SUV, and my skepticism of global warming ("I have a degree in engineering, trust me"). giddy up!
Beer four stars; I'm a fan of the extra pale ale, but limited menu makes me downgrade to three stars. Â The food was A-Ok, but choices so limited I can't say I'm a fan. Â Friendly service, but the standard crowded, noisy airport pub atmosphere. Â Overall, a good place to stop for a beer and burger while waiting for a flight in concourse B.
Review Source:You can't go wrong with beers on tap. Unfortunately I was so hungover I couldn't enjoy them. Wish I had read the reviews more closely but being starved at the airport limits your attention span to only the number of stars on a review. I made the mistake of ordering the Caesar salad...A: cuz they were out of the hummus plate and B: it actually sounded rather appetizing with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes...wrong. My salad came with neither. It did, however, come on a plastic plate with a packaged tub of Ken's Caesar dressing. Huge pet peev, a Caesar salad that isn't tossed. It was one of those salads u grab at the gas station. Def not worth the $10 they were attempting to charge. Luckily the lack of toppings provided the perfect opportunity to order the wings instead. These are prob your best bet. Spicy, vinegary goodness...drenched in sauce, which I like. I accidentally splattered the guy next to me. He didn't notice. I also ordered a side of potato salad. Nothing to write home about but luckily edible although def overpriced, as is everything at the airport. So in conclusion, either get the wings or perhaps the burger, which looked pretty tasty from afar, or eat a steak sandwich from charley's and then head over for a beer.
Review Source:The Blue notwithstanding, the Sweetwater Draft House continues the trend of great local breweries taking up residence in airports to show those passing through what they're missing.
Braving the 5:00 crowds was worth it for the beer (of which I was lucky to have the time to thoroughly sample), though it was clear the food wasn't worth my time. Still, during the few hours I resided in Sweetwater, I managed to have no less than three conversations with other friendly travelers with whom we shared the same space for a small window of our lives. Like much of Atlanta, the experience is in the people you meet, and regardless of how busy the place gets, the experience can't be beat.
When I was in Atlanta I needed something quick to eat before catching my next flight. I heard good things about this place and so I decided to give it a try. Of course it was packed and I couldn't find a place to sit. I had to wait a few minutes until a seat at the bar opened. The service was good and the food was ok. I am a chicken sandwich kind of gal and so I went with the simple version; chicken, cheese, and bread. It was kind of bland, but with the honey mustard it tasted better. I can't say how the beer was because I didn't actually want to drink! Wow! I just said that. No beer for me that day. I think I was feeling kind of down and out. Next time I will be sure to try a beer on tap!
Review Source:In Atlanta visiting some awesome friends! So where do they take this awesomely tanned man and company!??!?!?! Yeah thats right  the BREWERY!.........
Its located in an industrial corridor type area.......it screams hipster! BUTBUT

I tried the IPA Â and the Blueberry beer! very tasty The Blueberry was our favorite hands down!
Live band playing outside(they werent very good). But cheap micro brew beer in the company of awesome people and a
tour was fun and informative!......awesome time!
shake and bake seal of approval!
Hipster infestation level: 8 Who would have known Hipsters in Atlanta with a southern accent......HA!
Excellent beer, paired with food that's "meh" at best.
Sweet Water Tavern has 4-5 of their own beers on draft, along with a recognizable light beer (Coors Lite on our last visit) and several bottled options. I highly recommend going with one of Sweet Water's own beers, as they are uniformly tasty and refreshing. I've had the 420 and the Pale Ale in the past but tried the Georgia Brown for the first time recently, and it was delicious. It had a complex nutty flavor that I really enjoyed.
The food at Sweet Water Tavern is, well, not good. I was disappointed at the meager selection of sandwiches on the menu (and the fact that burgers are only served hockey-puck style, i.e. well-done), so I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was served on a plastic plate and consisted of romaine lettuce, previously frozen artichoke hearts, diced sundried tomatoes, croutons, parmesan, and a few strips of cooked chicken, along with two pre-packaged tubs of Ken's Caesar dressing. It was fine but not worth the $11 I paid, not even in an airport. I've had better from airport kiosks and grocery stores. My husband's chicken sandwich and fries was the better choice. (As an aside, the woman sitting at the next table ordered chili, took one bite, and declared it the worst chili she'd ever tasted.)
You know where I'm going with this. Hit up Sweet Water Tavern for some brews, AFTER you've hit up one of the fast food restaurants in the airport for some grub.
Across from gate B10, SweetWater is apparently the best place to kill an hour or two at ATL. There was a long line but it went fast.
They brew their own beer, which is kinda incredible for an airport grill and brewpub.
As for the beer, the SweetWater Georgia Brown is smooth, creamy, and delicious. The SweetWater Blue is crisp, light, and tastes a little like a Jiffy blueberry muffin, which  I actually rather enjoyed.
We had a burger (well-done only, no exceptions), buffalo wings, and fries. The wings and fries were fresh out of the fryer and quite good (exceptional by airport standards). Buffalo sauce on the side means the wings don't get soggy and you can have as much (or as little) sauce as you'd like. The burger was surprisingly good as well, especially considering they insisted on cooking it well done.
Service was fast and friendly, $35 plus tip for 2 beers and dinner is a great price.
Craft beer in an airport? A scheduled 2.5 hour layover that turns into 3.5? Sign me up. I love me a layover and discovering little airport watering hole gems. Â
This hungover lady was heading home from Miami after attending Monday Night football the evening before, so think of your biggest drinking binge, multiply by 4 and that was me. I started off safe, Sweetwater Blues and an order of nachos. Slam dunk.
This place does get busy, but thankfully, I scored a seat at the bar and kept the beers coming. The names of the beers definitely played to my teenage boy sense of humor. For instance, I ordered a "Sch 'Wheat" and couldn't help but picture Wayne and Garth Schwinging. There was a seasonal named Motorboat which is hilarious for obvious reasons.
Great beers, large food menu for an airport, friendly and helpful service......welcome to Atlanta.
Yes, 5 stars! Â Now, keep in mind, this is an airport brew-pub. Â Yes, it can get busy during peak times. Â No, not all of the staff are the friendliest people in the world. Â The prices are what you'd expect in an airport. Â Having said all of this, the food is acceptable, and the beer is fantastic. Â This is the best brew-pub I've seen at any airport, and I have been to many, so this is truly saying a lot. Â Their mainstays are great standard beers, and they always have a seasonal that you won't see on the board, so be sure to ask what it is. Â I've tried 3 of them and they've all been out of this world.
Review Source:For an airport bar, you could do a ton worse. Â The beers are quality microbrews (coming for a true Belgian beerhead is a compliment), the burgers are solid, and it's not that expensive. Â As a result it does get crowded, so make sure to follow their rules on where to stand and wait etc, but it is worth it if you have the time.
Review Source:I purposely arranged a 3 hour layover so I could get drunk here. The staff is fun, the beer is good (blue is my favorite).
I paired my many glasses of Sweet Water Blue with the recommended Fruit & Cheese Platter. It was the healthiest thing on the menu and it didn't make me feel guilty about blowing over half my day's caloric intake on beer.
I will be planning my trips around the Atlanta airport from here on out.
During my long layover at Atlanta airport, I came here to escape the bad beer list at the Sports Scene, just down the concourse. I found a convivial atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty craft brew, in an airport - Â what more could one ask?
They even let me taste a few beers before ordering. I chose their IPA which was pretty good, despite being unusually sweet. And the price, $6.50, was quite reasonable by airport standards (and $3 cheaper than my Corona at the Sports Scene).
Next time I'm in Atlanta concourse B, I know where to go!
2 1/2 stars. I had to wait about 20 mintues to get a table then had to share it with someone, not a good situation for a non-people person like me. Had a lovely beer (Sweetwater 420) and the waitress was pretty nice if a little slow. Would go back if I'm ever forced to go to Atlanta airport again (which I really hope I'm not).
Review Source:With airports being increasingly wired and with more and more people surfing the internet while waiting for a plane, reviews of exceptional establishments IN the airports themselves should become increasingly numerous and helpful. So, along those lines:
If you ever find yourself on a layover in Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the Sweet Water Brewing Company Draft House & Grill is well worth a visit. Here's your chance to kill a few hours between planes AND to taste a fine selection of beer. Seriously folks, there are only a few places in the country where you can get quality craft beer in an airport sports bar. The fact that the food is decent is an added bonus.
They'd get an extra star if they had a window from which you could watch the planes takeoff and land. But even without the window, this place is much appreciated and worth keeping in mind, especially if you fly Delta.
