THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER....if I could give it no stars I would.... My friend and I were just looking for a place to get a drink and relax when a drunk guy began to verbally attack us during a friendly conversation.... Finally when I asked the bartender to get a manager to get him to leave us alone he arrives and offers a free drink....REALLY... that is your solution!!!! ALL I wanted was to LEAVE safely... I had to insist he walks us to our car...when then he tells us he will be asking the guy to leave....LADIES stay away we should of clued in when we were the only women there obviously they don't cater to us.  Absolutely RIDICULOUS.... I must say that our waitress was good I feel bad we left in such a rush that we didn't share that with her....BUT I will NEVER go back EVER AGAIN

I REALLY want to like this place, I have been to it three times hoping that the previous time was a fluke!  All three times I sat on the patio and two of the three times I left when no one came to my table.  The other time I did get service, I actually walked around inside to find someone to help us. Great Patio, with TV's and comfy chairs.  There has been smoking in the covered patio also which was a bit of a bummer!

We love Vic!! The drinks are cheap, patio is nice in the summer time and DJ Leo is always rockin! Big TV's to watch the game and the service is phenomenal! Enough room to get your groove on or play some pool (or shuffleboard if that's your thing)... We always have a blast here!

My husband and I went there to try it out.  It was fine, food was OK.  It was a nice atmosphere until we started to smell someone smoking.  The outdoor patio where you could smoke was open to the rest of the restaurant.  It was as disgusting as if we were right next to the smoker.  We would have returned until that happened.

I really tried to like this place, but I will not be darkening the doorway again. Ever.

A few weeks ago, I was watching - you guessed it - my favorite band, Big Daddy. Great time. It was 11:45, and I had to pee. A barback was in the bathroom mopping. I  was like,"I gotta pee." He said,"Pee" and kept mopping. Whatev. Ok. So, I stupidly went in, urinated, and came out to the dude looking at me like he wanted a taste. In broken English, he states,"I like-a da pussy." Um, what???? "I like-a da pussy." OK seriously???? I go to quickly wash my hands and exit the bathroom, when I kid you not, the dude grabs my butt and says,"I like-a da ass too." At this point, I grab his wrist FIRMLY in my hand and remove his hand from my ass, at the same point stating,"good way to get your ass kicked." I swiftly exited, and I told a bartender who promised to tell management. They responded the next day late after I confronted them on FB: Tailgaters Frisco
Management is very sorry for this. Please accept our apology and just to make you comfortable we fire the barback and please accept our apology.we will make sure that never happen again. Thanks
    Tailgaters managment.
if you want please call us. Vic and Dev
    sorry for late reply.

    Super.

So, then, I was going to give them another go for Halloween last night, as my band was supposed to play the venue. Tailgater's cancelled them with no warning for the fans. Jerks. Done.

The food here is ok and the portions are huge (or normal, in Texas). It's open late and has beer and cocktails so I can't complain much.

The thing that really made this place 4 stars is the service. I forget the name of the server who was helping us but she was amazing and gave us the best suggestions for the things on their menu. I told her that I'd be back but never got a chance to. I'm sure I'll go back whenever I'm back in town for business.

I ordered their croissant club sandwich, fried spinach, and chicken wings. All were good. Though, I wished the chicken wings were crispier. Other than that, it was good!

The food is very good, especially for a sports bar.  I had the "not yo mama's nachos".  I ordered the large order of the nachos and could not eat them all.  My daughter ordered a cheese veggie plate which was good, especially the gouda cheese.  Our server was very nice.  They have a nice selection of beers and the price is reasonable.  Lots of Tvs and plenty of open space to move around.  Very nice newish place.  We will go back.

We went for some dinner and to watch college football. While I loved having so many different TVs to choose from and the TVs in my booth, the noise level was a little on the loud side. The service was great.

I am a big fan of mac and cheese. I will try it whenever I see it listed on the menu and theirs does not disappoint. The ratio between pasta, creamy sauce and cheese was just right. They should couble the portion and serve it as a stand alone dish.

The patio seating was quite nice with quite a few young people watching various games. I can only see this place growing in popularity within the Frisco area.

Went for dinner with friends.  Atmosphere was good with TV's everywhere and plenty of seating.  The manager, Vic greeted us and checked back regularly to make sure all was well.  Food was good including the pizza and chili dog.  Only complaint is they need to serve draft beer and larger pitchers.  Currently they pour three bottles of beer into a small pitchers.

We plan on going back again to catch some football games soon.

Disappointing is the best thing that describes my visit. While the place is beautiful, the service is poor and untrained and there was no mgr just one of the owners there and none of them even knew how to split a tab. It was hard to tell who the waitresses were
since they pay no attention to customers and gather in the corner chatting much of the time. I finally caught one and asked her for the Wifi password which she blurted out and tried to walk away - I said can we order some drinks? And she was like, "Oh...sure"... and they were not quick by any means, plus another one took 3 tries when she asked eveything okay? And I said still waiting on that beer- to which I got an "ok" no apology or explanation. And NOW.... The Food....

Try a giant mound of spinach with a pile of cranberries and nuts just piled on for close to $7... I ate a little and let them take it away. Lame. My friend got the bacon wrapped jalapenos which was just that, some normal sized jalapenos slit with cheese in the middle and a piece of bacon around it, absolutely no presentation - it just looked like it had been melting on the sidewalk, not breaded or battered as is usually the way to make these...Terrible. He ate a few pieces of bacon after one bite and left it. If that's what u call a good chef, then you don't know food. The guy from Hell's Kitchen would have thrown it at them.

They have added Karaoke and the karaoke guy was good. Maybe they're sandwiches don't suck - who knows - but OUR food certainly did. Good luck ever trying to get drunk there as you'll have to sit at the bar to do it(bring a desk bell to ring-LOL).

Not likely to go back ever.

    Hey, I'm first! SWEET!!

I was meeting a girl for a first date and thought I'd balance out our interest in sports and drinking. Plus, I wanted to try a new place and Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill had some good review on its food. So let's take a journey!

It was mother's day, don't judge because we are both not from North Texas, so the place was literally empty. This DID give me the opportunity to see it as a whole. LOTS of TVs. LOTS! Which is good for a sports bar. Plenty of stools and booths. The "patio" area is actually just a covered portion with removable walls. Regardless, the seating is very upscale. I'll admit I was kind of impressed and that's not easy to do. (I've been to a LOT of bars and know what I like.)

NO BEERS ON TAP, which was odd but as a beer snob I was glad to see they had an actual selection outside of the American piss beers. I even introduced my date and the bartender to a new brew or 2. I don't know if there was a special, even though the bartender said there were no specials, but my beers were cheap. Kind of made my day and I tipped accordingly.

We did order food. She ordered chicken quesadillas, you can't REALLY go wrong there. I didn't hear anything bad about them, and they looked and smelled good as well. They have pico, guac, and sour cream. I ordered the Grilled Honey Lime Chicken Sandwich, the name alone perked my interest. It was pretty tasty, and was a REAL chicken breast that was REALLY marinated and was ACTUALLY grilled. I don't know where the honey part was, but I liked the flavor. The fries are good, but obviously came out of a package. I would have been more impressed if they were fresh-cut. It was delicious, and I recommend it.

The staff was pleasant, and while the EXTREMELY attractive bartenders were nice I'm sure it's slightly hectic when the place is packed. Never hurts to have someone nice to look at when your team is losing...or you see the bill.

I really like this place. It stands just on the edge of pretentious without stepping over. Upscale enough that you can impress people with it, and nice and low-key enough for the everyday sports fan. I'm going to need to check it out again when there are people in there, we left with 5 people inside the bar around 9pm Sunday night. Even with it's beautifully inviting interior, the wrong crowd of douchebags can turn people off.

I'd certainly go back, and it is a hot-date-spot in my opinion.
If they show soccer, they'll be my new favorite.

UPDATE: Went again for a date, and while the waitress, Nora(?), was terrible, I still enjoyed the place.

I have been here three times in the past month and a half and I can say I will not be returning. The ONLY GOOD THING is their Pie Holes.

Our first visit was on a Saturday afternoon. We stopped by because the day before The Fan was broadcasting from there and it seemed like a place we would like. We walked in around 1:00pm and there was only one couple in their besides my husband and I. We shared their Pie Holes which were really good. They are basically mini pizzas. I ordered the Home wrecker Hot Dog and barely made a dent in it. The size is just massive. My husband ordered their hamburger and liked it. Down side they do not have the Taps set up. So you have to buy the beer by the bottle and soda too. Our waitress was nice and friendly, poor thing was so bored that she talked to us a lot.

We went back a few weeks later for lunch and again they do not have beer on tap still! This time they were busy so it was nice to see how they handle having more than four people in their establishment. We sat at the bar and I ordered their Street Tacos with Chicken and the husband had their hamburger again. Thirty minutes went by and no food, I asked our waitress and she said it would be right out. Another ten minutes and it finally arrives, my tacos have no cilantro, onion salsa or limes, and instead they gave me lemons with chicken on corn tortillas. I had to ask for cilantro, onions and limes. Another ten minutes go by with nothing. At this point I have had a few bites of my plain tacos to discover they taste like dirty feet and fish. When the cilantro and onions arrive I ask to speak to the manager. Fifteen minutes later and having to ask two different waitresses to tell the owner I would like to speak to him he finally comes out. I start to explain how long we had to wait for our food and he tells me "It's because we are so busy." I point out they are not even half way full and that is not an excuse when other restaurants can make it happen. And to top off the wait my order was wrong and taste horrible. His apology was "I'm sorry you feel that way". I told him that our first experience was great and I raved about them, this time around not so much and unsure if we would come back. He did comp our bill and agreed to maybe possibly in the future give them another try.

Fast forward two more weeks and we were meeting some friends for a birthday happy hour(s). We got there around 5:30 and it was not too busy, especially for a Friday. We ordered there Pie Holes again and some beer, only when we finally were greeted after sitting for ten minutes with NO ONE saying "Hi" or "We'll be right with you". Again, they do not have beer on tap. It really surprised me that they have been open for awhile and still no beer on tap. We were there for a few hours and a great time hanging out with our friends. Our waiter had a really hard time remembering what beers we had ordered. He never wrote them down and when he came around of course we all were in need of another. When it came time to leave our bill was wrong. We were charged for a few too many beers but our waiter insisted it was correct. Our whole group's bill was wrong. After going back and forth we just decided to pay it and get going.

Now today my husband logins to our account and sees that they added an extra $10 charge to our bill. My husband calls and it just so happens that our waiter from Friday night is the manager on duty today. He let us know that they "already deposited the credit card receipts and there is nothing they can do. We called our bank to explain and they gave us the money back and said they would collect it from Tailgaters. Now it's $10 not a big chunk of money and we would be fine without but it's the principal behind it. How can you stay in business when service horrible, no beer on tap, overcharges their customers while in their restaurant and after they leave? It just seems really shady to add an extra charge after we have already signed our bill and left the restaurant. We will not be going back ever again; there are way too many restaurants around them to waste our time and money at a place like this. I believe it is only a matter of time until it is no longer in business.

Greeted at door by a friend gal...waitress was OK but more interested in sitting at bar with patrons.  Ordered Asian chicken wraps with caramelized corn and chicken....corn from a can is what it was and plain lettuce to wrap yourself... was ridiculous and not tasty at all.  Chili was OK but no condiments on table or offered and small teaspoon to eat chili with.  Ambiance very dark and boring.  Compared to 3rd Base and Twin Peaks this place will never make it.  Very disappointed and won't be back.
