I would give 2 stars, but the prices warrant the 3rd.
A dive bar. Damn its dark in there, but that's what you get. They have taco Tuesday on, you guessed it, Tuesdays.
Not too sure about the crowed that hangs out around the bar and in the parking lot though. They don't instill the feeling of confidence. I'll stick to the bars downtown.
Meh, basic sports bar. Good drinks specials, typical bar food. There's nothing too special about it; everything is just very typical. If you're looking for the exact description of a sports bar complete with go go dancers, even though there is no place for them to dance...then come here!
We came here one night for a UFC event, and I didn't do an exact count, but I'm sure the maximum occupancy was way over the limit.
First time here and it was just ok. Â I ordered a Whiskey Burger and Onion Rings. Â Not the worst burger, but most definitely no the best either. Â The service was mediocre. Â The wait staff was mechanical and looked as if they had better places to be. Â I know I went on probably one of the busiest times of the year, but this establishment and its staff seemed ill prepared to handle good business. Â I'll probably try it one more time before passing my final judgement.
Review Source:My husband and I tried out The Ticket last Tuesday night. We were greeted right when we walked into the door!! :) We waited at the bar for about five minutes before the bartender noticed us.We got our drinks and found a nice table to sit at.The crowd that was there was friendly! I sang some songs while my Husband found a friendly group of guys to play some pool with! The karaoke guy was Awesome!!! He came over to my table and asked me to sing again since not many people were in the singing mood,lol..So I got up and sang another, while my hubby played pool.We met the owner through the greeter that was there that night.I give this place Five stars!! We both had an Awesome time, and can't wait to go back!! I forget the guys name that greeted us but wow,he made us feel right at home!!!! This might just end up being a regular hang out for us!! I hope our next trip there is just as good or better!!! :) :) :) Have not tried the food yet.....
Review Source:This is the worst bar I have ever been to. The atmosphere is terrible, borderline scary, my buddy and both immediately thought let's get out here. However we stayed, the food was terrible the service was awful, and to top it off just as my food came a 15 inch speaker mounted directly above our table started playing loud music, really loud, then it crackled and went silent, only to come back on five seconds later at full blast. This happened for about 10 minutes with neither server evening acknowledging that it was taking place. I promptly asked for the check in a box to go for my food, but the server rang up the check wrong and I had to wait for her to fix it which took about 10 minutes. In that time she started playing Tom Petty out of her iPhone, two guys at the end of the bar started talking about how they didn't think the ticket was a Bob Dylan type crowd and how Bob Dylan was a poet, it was fucking Tom Petty, worst bar ever!
Review Source:This bar is a joke. Seriously!
First off, who calls a bar "Ticket?"
I appreciate the cheap drinks and the nice patio. And it was close to the hotel we were staying at for a wedding. But it's full of townies. And they were shaking their fists at us probably because the boys in our group had tight pants on.
You know...one of THOSE places.
But for some reason, I still have fond memories of Ticket. It's kind of like a bad joke that you can't help but tell over and over again.
Ticket. Â I don't even know where to start.
My lady, Amy S., and I were attending a wedding in the area and our hotel just happened to be within walking distance to Ticket. Â So we got all dolled up and took a little stroll over for some pre-wedding drinks (classy, eh?). Â It was very clear from the moment we walked in that we were going to be the only ladies, with the exception of the bartender. Â We made our way to the bar and two men instantly sprung out of their stools to offer us seats. Â We kindly declined and opted to sit outdoors since it was a beautiful afternoon in Santa Rosa. Â
So we chit chatted, closed our tab, went to the wedding, had lots of wine and eventually somehow made it back to our hotel with our group. Â And by now it's like 11pm and we're like, "Well, now what the fuck do we do?!" Light bulb. Â TICKET!
We all stumble over and set up camp at a bizarre, over sized round table. Â This is where things get kind of blurry. Â I guess some of the regulars were not our biggest fans and things got a little tense. Â And on top of that, the (empty) automatic paper towel dispenser fell off the wall while Amy S and I were in the bathroom. Â It was quite intense. Â
Regardless, I still had a good time. Â But then again, I do have an obsession with weird places where you may or may not have a good time.
Nicely set up in an old McDonald's. Outside it is very obvious. Once you get inside it isn't so obvious that when you sit at the bar you are really positioned at what was once the long order counter. Or if you go sit out in the larger seating area outside you are in what used to be the playground. But I digress.
Great happy hour specials. Really friendly people here. The alcohol selection is good... they get some stuff from local vendors. I love how small businesses in Sonoma County are so strong at getting stuff from local vendors.
Large food menu. Pretty marginal on some of the non bar type food but okay for the standard fried bar fare.
Two pool tables toward the front, too.
I'll give this place a pass.
Holy crap this place has alot of work to do. Some friendly advice: Just because a girl is hot DOES NOT mean she will be a good server. The waitstaff at this place is completely inattentive. Be prepared to have to pry your waitress away from talking to her BFF's, or just put a GPS on her for when she disappears for 30 minutes while you're trying to get the bill. The food was pretty mediocre as well. No atmosphere whatsoever. The crowd consisted of "bros" and dirty old men staring (and I mean STARING) longingly at the anatomy of the waitresses. I mean really, guys? You act like you've never seen an attractive woman before. Don't be a jackass. But I digress...
Just avoid this place at all costs. As the wise Admiral Ackbar said, "It's a TRAP!"
Best place all around. The food was great, nice and fresh. The staff was very attentive. I love to go there for lunch and dinner, at anytime, with or without the children, it's a very tasteful atmosphere even for the whole family even if it is a "bar". I think that having such a place in our community is a huge asset. I love that the owners are willing to sponsor local youth sports activities, even "cheerleaders". When I have been there, which is quite often, I have never seen a customer upset about anything. This place is very comfortable. Thank you Bar Guys for opening such a great place!!!
Review Source:I found The Ticket to be lacking both nuance and atmosphere.
It's as though the owners/management took an empty room, bought some tables, stools, and chairs, and put up a lot of flat-screens. Then, they co-opted the typical sports-bar menu and renamed everything with a football theme.
I didn't hate The Ticket, but it really didn't bring a lot to the table. It was a bar with beer and sports on screens and some food and strangely enough (when I was there...), a group of cheerleaders... who were all no more than ten-years old. They were fundraising, and I'm all for that (even bought raffle-tickets!), but it's (kind of) a bar, and they're children. It's not illegal but it is inappropriate, and even if it wasn't, no one wants to get hit up for cash by a child when they're trying to watch football or get down on some nachos.
Thanks, but no thanks.
This place it AWESOME!!! Â have been looking for a good sports bar to watch the football games on sundays (I'm a huge Eagles fan) and I found this place on here, went once and now it's an every sunday thing. Â I think it's one of those places that no one's really discovered yet, it's never over-crowded. Â The staff is very friendly, I have a beer in front of my before I can even take the last sip of my current one. Â The food is good, can't beat breakfast and beer!!!!
Review Source:Dodger Game? Â gimme a break!
Ticket is a great place to watch Sports. Â Bartenders and cocktail waitresses are friendly and work hard to provide good service. Â Food is surprisingly high quality. Â Place has a casual feel and good spirit. like watching the game at a friend's house- a friend with 12 0r so great flat screen HDTV's and good food and drink. Â A little disorganized but that adds to the charm. Â I plan to come here more often. Â Especially now that they pissed off a Dodger fan. Â ;-)
Stopped in for a beer on the way to eat dinner somewhere else. Â Was pretty hungry so decided to order a cheeseburger there and it turned out to be the best burger I've had since moving to North Bay earlier this year.
The burger was big, juicy, and charred! Â It came with all the normal fixin's. Â I got the meal deal of burger, fries, and beer for $11. Â It was a great value.
Enjoyed the ambiance of the karaoke that wednesday night and the service was very friendly.
Can't wait to go back.
This place is friendly and new. It's located on Hopper Ave, in the 'old' McDonald's as most of us know it, but it was also an Italian restaurant before becoming a bar/restaurant.
When you walk into this sports bar there are several high definition (by satalite) flat screen tvs playing whatever games are on and going for any avid sports fan.
They are incredibly accommodating to any sports team or game you may wish to watch, down to the point of even hosting UFC fights for a mere 10 dollars a person.
The food is typical pub fare; burgers and some Mexican fare such as tacos and nachos. But all is averagely good. Not your high end mind you, but well enough to be good for a crowd of those who want a quick meal of traditional pub/American fare.
There is plenty of seating and lots of great deals for "happy hour" which consists of the hours 3 - 6 pm Monday through Friday. Any given day gives a different discount; from dollar(s) off pitchers (both domestic and import) to discounted food. A wipe board contains the specifics propped on a table opposite the main door one walks in.
The wait staff is friendly enough to make you feel at home and certainly  make you feel free to ask any questions, with prompt answers coming your way.
Today, for example, I've learned the restaurant has been open since November 18th 2008. I've driven by so many times curious at the new possibilities of something so local to my house.
I noted most of the beer and wine (no full liquor license ... yet anyway, they are working on it); your usual domestic beers of Coors light, Budwiser, and such, as well Blue Moon, and Hefeweizen for more light choices on tap. Lots of bottled beers from Corona, Negro Modelo (regular), and yes, even the delectable Guinness for something darker. All traditional beers served here.
The wine included Cahill, La Crema, and Rutherford as well as one other vintage/bottle I didn't make absolute note of.
Most of the others I met in this place were not too regular but did start making this a semi-regular pit stop while others had only stopped in once or twice and made comment on making it a more regular pit stop.
At 5 months and running, this place shows much promise. My only hope ... they expand the menu. It's a bit limited and not leaning much toward the vegetarian, so yet another place if you're not an omni/carnivore that you'll have to settle for a slightly stripped salad or something like french fries.
I did appreciate my experience and had fun with conversation meeting many who are recently finding this place aggreable. I look forward to seeing how this place blossoms in the future.
