Went here for dinner with several friends to mainly have a nice ocean view dinner, not really expecting amazing food. However, it was actually pretty delightful!
The buffalo chicken wontons were awesome. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the outer wonton shell was crispy and not too oily. The nachos had a rich, creamy & slightly spicy cheese sauce (not a typical "yellow" cheese) and were very addictive!
I had the p.e.i. mussels for dinner and they were amazing! The spicy marinara sauce and goat cheese was an unexpected and flavorful pairing. I also had a sangria, which was perfect - not too sweet & garnished with fresh lemon/lime/cherry.
All of my friends enjoyed their meals & drinks too.
The place was very busy, but we were seated quickly (& by an ocean front window, as requested). The service was friendly, efficient & quick. Someone was always refilling our water glasses. The atmosphere was clean & welcoming.
I'll definitely go back!
Went here recently for the taping of Tim McLoones radio show and had a Groupon for dinner. I have to say that it was the best meal we have had there and the service was excellent.
The meal was a 3 course Prix Fixe and included a wine pairing with each course.
We started with the Mussels, which were excellent - the portion was huge. My wife had the Mahi Mahi entree while I chose the Tenderloin Medallions - the best I have had in quite some time. Dessert consisted of Chocolate Truffle Cake and Cheesecake. The wine pairings went well with each course.
Dining while enjoying the radio show taping was a nice experience and we will do it again.
The wife and I are regulars here. Sometimes just for the entertainment and drinks, other times for the full boat. Real night club atmosphere. Tuesdays you can't go wrong with Mark Ribler and Friends. Fridays and Saturdays, The Shirley's, Tim's band, or nights of Bob Burger or Bobby Bandiera. This is the Jersey Shores best music.
They just came up with a new, smaller menu. Smart move. We always thought the food was just there to round out the night but on our last time here the food was very good. The soup was okay, but the mussels were excellent. Both of us had Mahi Mahi and I have to say was prepared very well. Dessert was just ok. We added a bottle of wine and a great night. Our waiter was good being attentive a making sure our requests for the kitchen were prepared the way we asked.
