A friend and I went here on a whim and found one of the gems in the area. We were instantly charmed by the friendly, all-Italian staff. The specials were enticing and the waiters were knowledgeable and helpful. When asked to assist with recommendations, they spoke with nostalgia about their favorite meals and why we had to try them.

For appetizers we split some mussels in a white wine sauce that were obviously fresh and cooked perfectly, a challenge for many casual restaurants. The calamari was top.

For the main course we both opted for some seafood. I had linguine with a variety of shellfish (clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops) in a flavorful albeit light garlic and white wine sauce. I almost did not want to eat the delicious garlic knots because I wanted to be able to finish the delicious pasta.

On mention of the house-made cannolis, I immediately ordered two. They came out filled to the max with the perfect ricotta filling. I normally have a big appetite and had trouble finishing them both. Easily one of the top 3 cannolis of my life.

The food was complimented perfectly by a staff who took pride in their job. Our waiter was charming and sang Italian songs to himself as he waited on us. When he was busy, the other waiters came out to check on us.

We drove home listening to Sinatra and enjoyed a cigar as the perfect end to a wonderful dinner.

Amazing, authentic Italian food! Easily some of the best pizza we've ever had.

The food is every bit as good as the prior reviews noted. We left full and happy. I only had very minor issues.

The server brought out a salad with onions when I specified without.
I had to ask for a bottle of oil for the bread.
I did not care for the brand of Blu Cheese Dressing (but my wife did)

My wife is Italian and makes her own sauce, etc. so she is super picky. She liked everything including the onions off my salad.

I had the Grilled Chicken Fettuccine and my wife had the Chicken Florentine. We shared 8 Garlic Knots. My wife got full and had to leave some Pasta but I managed to finish mine. It was a very large amount of food!

The place was clean, busy and the food arrived pretty quick. The prices were very reasonable.

Fabulous food and gracious service in the traditional Italian manner. And both Peroni and Moretti Italian beers available too! We could not have been more pleased!

The small shopping plaza and  storefront are unprepossessing, with "Pizzeria" prominent on the sign, but don't let that throw you off. Though the seating area is small, the food and service are second to none. Owners Tony & Milena will be there to greet you and seat you and make sure you enjoy yourself.

We've only ordered pizzas from here but they are always excellent. They are a family run restaurant and you will hear Italian spoken. I seem to go here on every trip to Gloucester.

Yum! Went here after viewing some museums in the historic triangle. Its in a strip mall, so it doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside was simply decorated and the food was divine!

Our waiter was attentive, and helped us choose our meals as everything looked good on the menu. We got two pizzas, one margarita and the other something with ham (I can't remember) and both were fresh, with a great crust and sauce.

On top of this, the price was right and we went home with enough for lunch the next day. Recommended!

Cannot believe we didn't know about this gem in our neighborhood.  Its teeny; tucked away in an old strip mall...but don't let that fool you.  Terrific authentic and specialty Italian food...NOT simply a pizzeria. We loved it and cannot wait to return. Definitely adding this to our list of regulars.

I've eaten here twice this past year with out-of-town friends and family. This is one of the very few family-run Italian restaurants I've been to that serves  truly authentic dishes. Sure, you can order standard fare and be happy, but if you order the specialties, you will not be disappointed. The preparation is first-rate, and the presentation is very good, as well. Gloucester is fortunate to have this restaurant. I only wish that they replace their sign: "Pizzeria" doesn't do them justice!

Excellent  Italian food at good prices.  Recommend any of the specialties on the regular menu.  Glass of wine is generous and reasonable. Owner is delightful and her family staffs the restaurant. We drive 40 minutes to eat here at least once a month.

Excellent food and service the Veal Sorrentino was perfect. I highly recommend eating here. Don't let the "Pizzeria" sign fool you because they are turning out some excellent Italian dishes you will not be dissatified.

We had a bit of inside info in finding Tony and Milena's on George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes, VA, as it is a bit off of the beaten track.  Again, it sure it nice to be outside of D.C. where the owner of the restaurant serves you personally.  We wanted a salad before the meal with a bit of "umph" - black olives, feta, etc. - and Tony whipped up a fantastic side salad that fit the bill perfectly.  When the Sicilian pizza arrived, it was phenomenal!  The crust was soft as a pillow, had fantastic flavor, and the toppings were tasty and there in just the right proportion.  We rarely order a deep dish pie, as the crust can be overwhelming, but not this time...it was perfect.

Tony and Melina's is a hidden gem. You won't even see the name of the restaurant from the road.  Just a "Pizzeria" sign.  Melina and her husband run the restaurant. Her brother, Tony, runs a restaurant in Williamsburg. They are from Palermo, Italy.  The waiters are all family members, too. Everyone is warm and friendly. BUT. Enough about them and on to the best part. The FOOD!  Authentic Italian and always delicious. Their eggplant Parmesan is the best I've ever had!  Their Alfredo and vodka sauces are superb. Even if you live on the other side of the bridge, it's worth the trip.

Excellent Italian food run by an Italian family 9even with a singing waiter).  This has been our "go to" place since it opened.  pretty unassuming on the outside but warm and friendly on the inside.  Pretty small seating area, but they do OK. It is a shame they call themselves a "pizzeria" because all of the food is good.  Maybe that's a good thing, because I'll be able to get seating when I go.  We also get take out from here a lot.  The veal piccata is very, very good.  And their specialty pizzas are exceptional.

I've decided to update my review to 5 stars.  We went there again last weekend and I have to say I think the food is getting better.  I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and it was  perfectly seasoned, with just enough kick to keep things interesting through the whole dish without having you grab for the water.  Also, we had the house chianti and it was delicious (and plentiful).  We went Saturday night around 7:30 and the place was full (it's pretty small) and had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table.  But it is always worth it and Melina is very pleasant.  The restaurant has a great friendly family feel.  T&M's kids (ages 12, 7, and 12 months) are always around and it seems we always bump into local friends when we go there, which adds to the homey atmosphere.

I don't like to compare restaurants to one another because it always sounds like I'm downing one of the comparees.  But in Gloucester, there are very few choices for good Italian food.
Tony & Milena's stands out above the rest.  It is not your typical Italian-American restaurant like Sal's or Anna's.  The food is genuine and it is delicious.  I ordered a basic dish, Sausage with meat sauce spaghetti.  It was hearty, filling, and garlic-y.  I also loved the garlic bread that they brought out before my food came.  Although it was swimming in oil, I thought it was delicious (lord, I hope that was EVOO).
The wait staff was attentive and friendlyand the decor is very homey.
I will go back to Tony & Milena's many more times.  Best Italian food in Gloucester County!

I eat here for lunch quite often and always bring my friends! Great food with average restaurant lunch and dinner prices. Attentive and real Italian serving staff! I have always been seated right away without any waiting. The appearance inside is clean and inviting. Repeat customer for sure.
