One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Traverse City, The manhattan is always good and the do a great job with a martini also.

The view is great and it's just a peaceful place to start out the night.

Worth it for the view.  That's about it.

Top of the park is a very cute little place, emphasis on the little. Every time I have been there I have left quickly because it's always so packed. It also tends to attract and older crowd (possibly because of the steep prices?).

The pianists are all very entertaining and there are frequently additional instrumentalists that make appearances, which also makes the place smaller.

Seeing the city and bay from Top of the Park is a must do both day and night, but I wouldn't spend an entire night there.

The Park Place is the tallest building in Traverse City...it's 10 stories. Hence, it has absolutely the best view of Grand Traverse Bay in all of the land...and it's a fabulous venue for very intimate weddings (100) or private parties...(I attended a beautiful bridal shower here this morning).

I've also been informed that this space is open to the public for happy hour/martinis on weekend nights. Well I never...how did I not know this!? I am older and wiser now, and will be downing martinis at the highest elevation in TC when the need arises, most definitely.

The Park Place is historic, etc. However, I feel they need a bit of a face lift. The space is a bit on the shabby side, and just needs a bit of sprucing up...nothing crazy, just some "oomph." For such a beautiful space, it needs a little polishing to push it over the top...

Overall, a great spot in TC for a drink, and you've been blessed if you get invited (or hold) an event up there...just breathtaking.

    Cheers!

Top O' the Park is a little piano bar with a view of Grand Traverse Bay and downtown Traverse City.  You can get appetizers which are okay and listen to a fine pianist doing piano bar stuff.  The night I was there a flutist came by and sat in doing some nice light and fun jazz.

It's a great place for a drink and relaxing with a date or friends.   It is small though and sometimes gets crowded.  The location is top floor of the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City, Michigan.
