1.You pay 20 up front. It includes shisha (it's not called hookah) and a drink.
2.They don't sell alcohol but you can bring it in if you're old enough.
3.They often have a DJ and people get to dancing. The music is almost exclusively hip hop.
4.The servers and owner are really nice, and the couches are (very) comfortable though my table was covered in ash.
5.The selection of flavors is decent, they use one instant light coal per shisha, and one single hose shisha per person no matter what the size of the group.
6. The bathroom is clean and comfortable (single person use).
So it pains me to say this, but you NEED to clean and blow out the hose. On my first few inhales, I took in so much residue that I was crunching on it. At the same time, the top of my mouth was getting coated in enough dust that I felt like I'd eaten an ash tray. I also couldn't get much smoke out of it, most likely because it was too stopped up with particles. I ended up leaving right away.
I will note, to be fair, that this didn't happen to me last time I went here last week. So you may be just fine going in there.
Bottom line: I don't want to eat my shisha, I want to smoke it. Since you're a business and serving a lot of people, ash and residue will build up in the hose very quickly, so you need to blow it out regularly. If it's rust, it may be time for a new hose.
II went there after the bar closed a couple weekends ago. I am biased b/c I don't even like hookahs, but can comment on the atmosphere and cost. They wanted $25 per person. We ended up negotiating $15 a person. I think the bouncers were probably pocketing the extra cash. Three people don't need their own hookah. We asked for 2 hookah's for 3 of us, which was plenty. The atmosphere is GHETTO. They play the latest in hip hop and R&B. All the guys in there were dressed like they were being 50 cent for halloween and the "girls" lookened like strung out hookers plopped down on dirty couches sucking on hookahs. And on another note, they should make it BYOB. No one likes to stop drinking after 2am especially in that type of environment.
