This place is super cute!
Pros:
1. The food is delish! No, really...delish!
2. There is a large public lot about 1/4 block away that is free after 6pm.
Cons:
1. It was hot in there. I was very glad when they turned the A/C on (after we had been sweating for about 45 minutes).
2. They are sllllooowww. I was about to start eating the butter on the table. LOL. They were so slow that I really would have left (but I was there with friends).
3. The staff don't seem to have all of the same information. One server thought that happy hour extended to the tables but the other one told us it didn't after we asked about it when we got our bill. While I won't go broke off of $3, I was highly annoyed.
Long and short:
I would definitely go back to this place. The food is great.
We went here for brunch on Sunday. First impression walking through a sea of cigarette butts to get to the front porch to be greeted by two over flowing flower pots full of cigarette butts and an ash tray right by the front door was not promising. We arrived shortly after they opened so we were on of 3 tables seated in the restaurant. We were seated in the downstairs dinning room. All of the other reviews here are "late night" so maybe this place fares better when it is dimly lit because it is absolutely filthy. Our table cloth was dirty, the curtains were hanging off the walls and the tired remnants of Christmas decorations were covered with cobwebs. Again, overall first-impression wasn't getting any better. We ordered the skinny dip appetizer (3 cold dips, cucumber slices & pita). It took 15 minuets to arrive at the table seconds before the entrees. The entrees were a breakfast panini and pop pop's breakfast ( made with bacon, because they were out of ham.....at 12:30). Both sandwiches were cold which went well with the cold appetizer we had just started to eat. I'm all for the small independent business owner, but there should still be standards......starting with the cleanliness of the restaurant inside and out. It makes me very wary when the parts of a restaurant you can see are that dirty, what is going on in the areas not in view of the public. I Â hate patronizing chain restaurants, but I also hate spending one of my rare Sundays off eating sub-par food in a filthy environment. There are so many promising places for dinner in Towson, but brunch is another story. For all of you who laud the late night merits of this place, do yourselves a favor...never go there in the day light and never go there for brunch.
Review Source:I love this place. Quiet atmosphere, great for a date, or Sunday brunch. French toast is not tho be missed for brunch, panini's great for dinner or lunch. Well stocked bar, plenty of top shelf names, as well as your standards. Bartenders are knowledgable and give good recemandations. Â Have very good french press coffee and free wifi. Also hosts live music occasionally, which draws a large crowd.
