I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is always amazing. Out of all the times I have been there there was only one instance where I felt "neglected" by the server -- but I believe she was new at the time and don't believe she works there anymore. Besides that I have zero complaints about this place.
Review Source:This was a most interesting experience. We made reservations for four (4) on a Tuesday, typcially a slower restaurant night here in Westchester.
We arrived to a jam-packed parking lot and entered a packed lounge and restaurant. Apparently, a huge fundraiser was being hosted by a local real estate firm. Much of the service was being provided by real estate employees.
We were seated by a real estate "host" and it took about ten minutes for a real staff person to find us. We were worried about the whole thing by that point.
Fortunately, we were moved to a smaller dining area out of the main room. TO be fair, we cannot judge service this night, although everyone was pleasant and were eager to keep us happy, everything was understandably slow.
On the bright service side, we ordered a bottle of wine from the list, and unfortunately it was corked - our waitress handled it perfectly. So we grant an A for effort and focus on the food, which was very solid.
We started with a flatbread with "truffled" spinach, mushrooms, and cheese - very good. Also ordered (as we expected a wait) an antipasto platter. The meats, peppers and cheese were great, but the olives were DOA (old?).
For entrees our group ordered a paella (excellent), two orders (one for me) of baked rigatoni bolognese (terrific and a large portion) and a glazed salmon salad (wonderful).
Overall the food was very good, and the wine list also deep and reasonably priced. We need to go back and see what service is like on a normal night.
I've been going to Traditions since it opened. I love it. I have had them cater an occasion at my house and have also held 2 catered parties there. Every time the food has been top notch, always fresh, and made to order even for picky relatives. Orecchiette Carlucci is my favorite. Â The staff, whether I am there with my wife, parents, or with a whole party of people, are always helpful, fast an attentive. Â The dining room is warm and rustic and feels so much like home. I highly recommend Traditions and can't wait to go out again for date night.
Review Source:Deeply disappointing.
After a clients suggestion we decided to give this place a try. Maybe we went on an off night, I don't know. It was Friday night of Memorial Weekend.
We were greeted by an owner, I believe, who apparently failed to tell any servers she placed us at a table. We sat there for at least 10 mins with no one acknowledging us and there was only 2 other tables taken in restaurant. People were seated right behind us and a server approached them immediately. We were about to walk out when we flagged a man down, a manager(?) He apologized for not realizing we were there, blaming it on the hostess. He took our wine order. Our server finally showed and when my husband asked if she had forgotten about us she responded, 'nobody told me you were here'. Again, the blame game. At this point, believe it or not, we actually got some bread on the table from an alert busboy who actually noticed us. Not water or wine yet but there's bread.
We finally place our order. From that point on everything went much smoother but really what else could go wrong but the food and the food was...good. The man who took our order (manager?) brought us over an extra appetizer to make up for forgetting we were there but for us the damage was done and we still werent feeling any warmth from this place or its staff. Unfortunately, the food was not enough to help us look past the poor service as we won't be going back.
We drove 25 mins to get there and the last thing we needed at that point was to be overlooked. If they were having a busy night I would totally understand. But when we left, the 'hostess' that sat us was sitting with friends, eating. We were not comfortable there at all. It felt like we were intruding on their dinner.
There's so many places right here in Peekskill I think we'll just stick with local for now.
Try Julianna's in Cortlandt Manor and of course 12 Grapes. The food And service is Always Amazing in both places and the atmosphere makes you want to linger.
Love this resturant . It feels like home . The perfect place to relax and go out to dinner. Specials are great .. Personal fav is the lobster Mac n cheese or aged steak .. Out of this world. And service is on point!! Â Great for big parties or just a romantic night out with your loved one.
