Crazy good. I was helped by this awesome girl with dreds. I had the Purple Yam and it was the best adn got a T shirt for only $5 to show my treatbot support. My friends got the campfire smores ice cream and they devoured the two scoop ice cream in under 3 minutes.

I've had the lavender and honey which was great. but i hear that horchata is the best/

Cool location and great flavors! I like that they don't have an overwhelming array of selection but have just enough fruity, creamy, and rich options to meet your particular craving. There's plenty of cafeteria style seating in the market building, though you can of course take your ice cream outside to enjoy the (hopefully) warm weather or heat lamps.

The service is quick and very friendly. The scoopers talked to me a bit about their sweet ice cream bike and joked with me as well.

We go here everytime we are in San Pedro Sq, sometimes specifically just for Treatbot. Always great service and the flavors never disappoint. Our favorite is the 408 and the chocolate chip cookies...but really all the flavors are good.
I only wish they would post their daily flavors online everyday.

Yes!! So glad they have this at San Pedro Square Market so I don't have to hunt them down when I'm craving it (:

It's all about the East Side Horchata! I've tried a few of their other flavors, but this one stood out the most to me. Their ice cream sandwiches are aiight. The cookies are a bit too hard. Good selection of unique flavors though. Definitely recommended!

Highly disappointing trip to the Treatbot tonight. First, there was no karaoke, which was basically the whole reason for the trek from San Francisco. Second, except for the horchata, any of the available ice cream flavours is available in a much better version in any city with a sizable Asian population in the Pacific Northwest. The pandan and the mango mostly tasted like mildly fragranced sugar. Third, did I mention there was no karaoke?

I came here on Sunday night for some dessert, and I was happy to see they had a chocolate ice cream flavor called 'chocolate mousse'.  I decided to order 1 treatbot scoop for $3.

The chocolate mousse ice cream was so tasty!  It had a nice creamy texture and it was very refreshing to eat on a hot day.

I'm glad Treatbot is located inside San Pedro Market.  Its a nice place to get dessert!
I'll definitely come back to try other flavors.

I think it was $3 for a scoop of AWESOME. Katie served us and she was sweet as the ice cream. There was a line behind us, but gave us all her attention and patience when we asked for samples.  I got the Mango ice and it was fantastic! I'm always so excited when desserts actually taste like what they're named after and not just some sugary thing with a hint of flavor. It was a solid scoop for that amount of money. Super happy :)

    Thank you Katie! :D

I love their different flavored daily ice creams! For only $5, you'll get a double scoop! I had the vanilla and it was delish! But I heard the Horchata is something you shouldn't miss. I can't wait to come back and it's conveniently located inside the San Pedro Square Market.

taking the concept of "ice cream truck" to a whole 'notha level!

SERVICE: first off, S/O to the cute Filipino dude working that day i visited. he misheard my order and didnt hesitate to fix it with a smile right away. what a babe :) Also, i'm glad he recommended going half and half with the flavors for the ice cream sandwich, i really enjoyed both.

ICE CREAM: ice cream was BOMB. and i dont usually say that term and ima add a ".com" to that because the cookies in the ice cream sandwich made it amazing. I had half HORCHATA and half 408 ice cream in the sandwich. 408 is the most popular flavor and for good reason - caramel with fudge and oreos. i had to try Horchata since i love the drink and i'm from SD where Mexican food thrives- it could have been more cinnamon-y but it was still good.

PRICE: $5 for a ice cream sandwich, $3 1 scoop, $5 for two.

AMBIANCE: the truck is located in San Pedro Square so this was a perfect way to end our meal. VERY Casual and great to walk around. look for the candy painted yellow truck with the huge flat screen and walk straight up to the window to order.

Did not know this place even existed until I was strolling around looking for some type of dessert to satisfied my sweet tooth. Found this at the corner of the San Pedro Square and instantly wanted their ice cream on the spot.

I got Banananutella and Ube on an almond cone. It was incredibly scrumptious! Can't wait to come back and try their other unique flavors of ice cream.

Funny how about two weeks later at my friends birthday party, I met the owner who own this place. I remembered raving about how much I loved their Banananutella ice cream. Small world and I'm glad I met the owner. Nice and friendly people. Definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Oh my God - this is ice cream.

What can I tell you that every other Yelper hasn't said?  How about ... After I finished my huge scoop of "408" (with waffle cone) I seriously tried to think of a way to disguise myself so I could go order another one.  And then I looked around to see if I could bribe someone to do it for me.

My search for the perfect ice cream may have ended.  "408" is a mix of coffee flavored ice cream with Oreo cookies and fudge; it's rich, it's creamy and you can really taste the coffee.  And we're talking huge chunks of Oreo cookies.  I can see why they sell out of this particular flavor.  Luckily I was there at 3 and the public market was virtually empty.  You can get a scoop served in a little cardboard dish, as an ice cream sandwich or in a waffle cone like I did.  A scoop was $3.00, the cone, $1.00.

If you like ice cream, Treatbot is a must visit.  Don't be surprised if you see me waiting in line.  Drooling.

Yes, please.  May I have another?

I found myself in front of the Treatbot truck inside the San Pedro Square Market one evening with some friends.  I was quickly ushered to choose the 408 with a "trust me".  I matched the caramel ice cream swirled with Oreo chunks & fudge with the bacon waffle cone.  THIS IS A THING PEOPLE!

You know how I know it was good?  I didn't even stop to take a damn photo.

My mom and I decided to check this place out after eating dinner on Sunday night in downtown San Jose.

This place is located in the San Pedro marketplace and has a cool food truck look that really works out well.

Since we had never tried any of their ice creams before, we decided to try a couple flavors: I tried the Horchata and baby coconut ice creams and my mom tried the 408 ice cream.

Needless to say, we each chose all of the flavors that we had tried. Though there were only about 8 flavors, each one that we tried was fantastic and very different at the same time.

I think that in my opinion the 408 flavor was the best, but I really truly enjoyed all the flavors.

Also they were very generous portions for the pricing ($3 for one scoop, $5 for two scoops) so it was good value as well.

If you are in the area, I would definitely treat yourself to this awesome new space in the marketplace.

I have always loved the Treatbot karaoke ice cream truck and having a permanent location inside San Pedro Square Market makes it much easier to get my lovely treats. Some of my favorite ice cream flavors include the black marble raspberry which is creamy, tart, sweet and goes very well with their waffle cones. I also love the 408, young coconut and any of the daily sorbets. Every now and then, they would have pandan waffle bowls which go great with the tropical flavors. If you're not sure what flavor you'll enjoy, you can sample any of the flavors before you make your decision. But what I really love the most when they have it, is the treatpopsicles, especially the strawberry kiwi popsicle!

When, and I mean, when, they make their own popsicles, it is amazing. Every now and then, you'll find Mexican paletas and it doesn't feel the same. However, when they offer the strawberry kiwi popsicle, I go crazy! There are chunks of strawberry and a huge slice of kiwi inside the popsicle. Get it when you see it and you will thank me! My other to go popsicle is the watermelon. Service is great and I love how I can always end my meals at San Pedro Square Market with a scoop or a stick of ice cream from Treatbot!

    Soo disappointed!

I had a wonderful experience with Treatbot when they had a truck near the flea market on Berryessa.  The ice cream was tasty, and the cookie was nice and soft when I had Treatbot before.  So I was expecting to get the same yumminess here. I was so sad when I got my ice cream sandwich with cookies that were hella hard.

We ordered a scoop of mango, an ice cream sandwich with vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies, and an ice cream sandwich with 408 ice cream and snicker doodle cookies.  All the ice cream was tasty.  They were sweet but not overly sweet that you get sick of it after awhile.  Both types cookies in the ice cream sandwiches were really hard.  It's like when you leave cookies out for days, and they get stale and brittle.  The texture of the cookie was super disappointing since the last time I got some ice cream sandwiches from Treatbot the cookies were soft like they were just freshly baked.  I don't know if they were just having a really off day or something.  I wouldn't mind coming here again for ice cream, and I'm willing to give their ice cream sandwiches another shot since the first time I had some was so good.  However, I would only drop by if I'm in the area; I wouldn't go out of my way to drive to downtown SJ just for Treatbot.

TLDR: tasty ice cream, hella hard cookies in the ice cream sandwiches

I love this ice cream truck.  They always have unique flavors and home made waffle cones.  On St. Patrick's Day they had Bailey's and cream and green almond waffle cones.  I've had the Mexican chocolate waffle cone before and that was good, but original is the best.  The ice cream sandwiches are to die for.  The cookies are the perfect consistency to hold sandwich together.  All the ice cream is home made and the staff is down to earth.

I always go back, hoping that they'll have the honey lavender flavor. The last few times I've gone, they didn't have the lavender flavor that day. My friend tried the horchata this time, with a mexican chocolate cone. I was so excited when they had the lavender flavor.

A guy took my friend's order, and her ice cream cone was only $4. When I ordered my cone, a woman stepped up. Afterwards, she asked if I wanted it 'for here' or 'to go'.  That totally threw me off. Did it make a difference? Yes, she said, there's a tax difference. So I told her 'for here' and was charged an extra $0.35 for my cone. Seriously? That really put me off, especially as the guys working in the truck laughed at the woman for being nit picky about that detail. Even though it's less than half a dollar, I didn't like the 'special' treatment I was given.

I was in an even worse mood when I sat down, far away from the truck, to eat my ice cream cone. They got the flavor wrong. They had given me purple yam instead of the lavender flavor. The purple yam tasted a lot like yam, which is pretty sweet. It didn't settle with me well, but I hurriedly ate it all and left. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Love Treatbot!  If you buy a $10 tshirt you get a free scoop.  Deal.

Ube, avocado, 408, and Eastside Horchata are my favs.  I'll eat a cookie sandwich any day with their snickerdoodles.  At $3/scoop the price is right.  Bacon, almond, and mexican chocolate waffle cones are awesome.   Sometimes you can watch them make them off to the side.  They fill the whole market with that "smells like ice cream shop" scent.

How did I live before Treatbot?  Oh yeah, Ben & Jerry's...

Treatbot Factory definitely satisfied my sweet tooth today. The Ube (purple yam) and Bacon Ice Cream Cone combination was delicious. The Mango flavor was really refreshing and not too sweet too.
I love how every ingredient used to make Treatbot's desserts are from local and sustainable sources including the napkins, spoons, and bowl which are all corn-based and biodegradable.
I'll be back in the near future to try their other treats: Bruleed Ice Cream Tacos, Pandan Waffle Cone, Orange Galaxy and more. :)

If I'm ever craving ice cream, I usually go to Safeway or Trader Joes for a pint. At an early age, I was taught to never get Ice Cream from Trucks because of the chance I might get kidnapped. I didnt have a normal family, end of story.

Anyways, Came here after a light study session at B2. All of their flavors sounded great. Sampled the Purple Yam and was amazed on how tasty it was.  The service was pretty good. Courteous and casual at the same time. Its also good to know that their cones are made in house, or rather next to their truck.

Will definitely come here again to try some of that chocolate , the 408, and Horchata. NOM NOM NOM!

So I was standing in line, trying to figure out what I wanted to get. I've had their horchata flavor before which was pretty good and their jackfruit is not only really unique, but also really refreshing with chunks of jackfruit in it. A bunch of people in line in front of me was getting the 408 (caramel, fudge and oreos), so I thought to sample it. I also had chocolate in my mind, so I decided to sample the 408 and the chocolate mousse.

    "Can I have two samples?"
"You can sample all of them if you want!"

    Nice :)

So I tried both the 408 and chocolate mousse and it was HEAVEN. The lady in back of me asked how it was and I replied "it's so good! Now I have to get both!"

Yup. Had both on an original waffle come. Fatty me. It was sooo satisfying. I ended up not finishing it because it was a bit overload, but nonetheless still delicious.

I'm pretty sure Treatbot is being considered for sainthood.

It provides miracles on the daily. I guarantee if you're having a bad day Treatbot can miraculously turn it around. You step up to that truck, take a whiff of that yummy treasure that lies within and a smile will start to form.

Ask for a sample if you'd like, or just go with a scoop of the 408 (caramel, fudge, Oreos, and that feeling you get when you snuggle with a puppy) and one of Eastside horchata (it's the flavor of finding $20 in an old jacket you haven't worn in years). I dare you to order these two and frown afterward.

Next time you're in San Pedro Square you MUST try it out!!

I love me some ice cream! I'm so happy that they have a permanent location because in all honesty, I don't have time to stalk them when I want my fix. Whenever I decide to have lunch or dinner at San Pedro Market, I come here for my dessert round.

I love their creative homemade ice cream flavors. I'm not your average vanilla or chocolate ice cream girl. I'm in it for all the "exotic" crazy flavors I haven't tried or heard of before. I loved their graham cracker & milk, avocado, and red bean flavors. On the other hand, I didn't like the east side horchata and I'm a sucker for horchata. It left a weird itch in the back of my throat and it was too sweet for me.

Definitely will come back and try more since they always rotate their flavors ;)

I feel like Treatbot doesn't really need any more raving reviews. If you have a soul you will pretty much fall in love with at least one of their flavors! That being said, I promised the two guys working there yesterday that I would write a review so here it is!

I haven't had a flavor that I didn't like and I don't think I will. Ever. I tried their Banana Nutella in a Mexican chocolate cone and it was gone before I hit the freeway to get to work. I basically inhaled the whole thing. DELICIOUS! I also love their horchata and 408 flavor. The pumpkin flavor during the fall is also quite tasty and a must try!

I normally have a hard time deciding between flavors but the guy working there last night was super friendly and let me get half/half for the single scoop. THANKS AGAIN!!! I also got a snickerdoodle cookie on the side and it was probably one of the best cookies I have ever eaten. Not sure if i'ts because there was melted ice cream smothered all over it or if the cookie was actually just that good. Either way, I would get it again.

    I LOVE me some TREATBOT!

No longer do I need to stalk Twitter/Facebook whatever... anytime I'm craving, I can go on down to the San Pedro Square Market and get me some yummy goodness.  I love the setup of Treatbot Factory--looks like they straight drove the truck into the side of the wall.  Scoops are generous and the cookies are amazing.  I have yet to try their waffle cones, unfortunately, but they look super awesome as well.

Only bad thing: they keep running out of 408!  Grrr!

A sausage, 3 pieces of duck fat fries, and 2 and 1/2 beers later...

My sister and I were at San Pedro Square Market because she has never been.  I cannot believe how many games she has gone but has failed to explore the goodness of San Jose.  We wanted another round of drinks before heading to the Shark Tank.  I was able to persuade her to stop by Treatbot as our "before the game treat".

I've had Treatbot before so I know they're good but I saw what I wanted to try - thanks to Jen C.'s photo upload the other day: bacon waffle cone.  There were a total of 4 cones available: original, Mexican chocolate, toasted almond, and bacon waffle.  The bacon waffle is pricier than the rest but for $2, it wasn't a big deal to me especially since I was pretty much a happy buzz; I don't remember how much I paid but we got 2 scoops of the 408 (caramel, fudge, and Oreo's).

My sister's exact question, "Can we share or are you going to be selfish and want your own?"

    Overall breakdown:

    - you can taste the bacon only if you bite where the bacon is
    - the 408 was smooth and a little sweet but not creamy nor rich
    - takes cards

The guy thought my actions were comical because I kept on giggling and laughing for no apparent reason.  Apparently 2 beers was enough for me.  After we got our dessert, my sister and I started to walk towards HP Pavilion where we beat the Canucks (04/01/13).

I initially found treatbot at the moveable feast and was thrilled to find them stationed inside the opposite building of the market square!

I love coming by to see what their flavors of the day are! My favorites are the jackfruit, mint chocolate chip, banana almond fudge, and taro- served in a mexican chocolate waffle! Ive also had their cookie sandwiches! their cookies are soft and chewy and perfect with the ice cream!

I'll definitely be following you around!

Crap. I finally gave in to my sweet tooth this afternoon.  The ice cream had just the right amount of "ice" in it - I like it when I can crunch the ice in addition to my ice cream.  Indulged in a waffle cone filled with a delicious concoction called "the 408".  Shheeeeeeiiiiittt...that stuff had me making bliss faces all the way back to work and then some.  the 408 is like, oreos, caramel, and fudge all together in a devlishly delicious mess.

    Two words: Over. Rated.

Yuck, this is not my idea of quality ice cream. It's obvious that the flavors are not natural (the "young coconut" had an overtly artificial suntan lotion flavor; the "green tea" had an strange, sweet lemony flavor and tasted nothing like tea). Since this shop is housed in a truck, you can see virtually all the contents of the kitchen, including the Costco-sized tubs of Reese's peanut butter "sauce" and other junk. Clearly, they aren't catering to the gourmet crowd.

Another downer: they are super strict about the 1 flavor in a single/ 2 flavors in a double rule. This is my ice cream pet peeve! Why should I have to eat half a pound of ice cream just because I'd like two flavors instead of one? As if it's so challenging to make two tiny scoops instead of one huge blob. This is a cheap, old-school way of doing business and I'd rather patronize places that celebrate customers' freedom of choice - in abundance!

Truthfully, the ice cream was so heavy and artificial tasting that I threw it away after 5 bites. If you know me and my dedication to lactose, you know how crazy this is.

Yes, the idea of a karaoke ice cream truck is brilliant. But, for the ice cream alone I would definitely skip Treatbot next time.

I had "The Churro" (Eastside Horchata with snicherdoodles sandwich) and a scoop of the 408.

As an ice cream sandwich, it wasn't that great.  The snickerdoodles were hard and not that tasty, but the ice cream itself was really good.  Eastside Horchata is a great flavor!

I had heard a lot of good things about the 408, but I wasn't too impressed.  I prefer the Eastside Horchata.

Overall, if I ever saw the truck around, I might get another scoop of the Eastside Horchata, but the ice cream is not something I would seek out again.

Located inside San Pedro Square (back building) by the Little Cheese Shoppe and Blush. The ice cream is served from a food truck. Not sure if it's a fake truck or they move it in and out of the location. I was focused on the ice cream. :)
Tried the Chocolate Dream and Post-work out banana ice cream. Both flavors were yummy. The girl who served me the ice cream was super nice and gave me samples since I wasn't sure what to order. This place is going to be super crowded during the summer but it's worth it.

After dinner in the main San Pedro Market building, we came in to see what was located in the more sparsely populated building..

I had heard about Treatbot, and the fact they actually make their own ice cream is impressive.

The woman working there was really nice.We picked a few flavors to taste, and she suggested some as well. Everything i tasted was fresh and delicious. It's clearly a quality product, and creative too.

My hubby's not a huge ice cream fan,but i I talked him into sharing one scoop of the Eastside horchata. One scoop was plenty. i can't imagine how anyone eats more than that, (especially after a meal.) Their scoops are VERY generous.
They also make their own waffle cones, (which smelled AMAZING) but we opted for just a cup.

Love that they have a set location, (since I'm not likely to track down the truck.)

I will definitely return for dessert next time we go to San Pedro Square.

I really like that they now have a set location so I don't have to go chasing down the truck anymore. Not to mention it's right in the heart of San Pedro Square Market where you can walk around and see a ton of other locally owned businesses.

The ice cream here is always really rich and creamy. My favorites are the Eastside Horchata and Mint Condition. You can sample any of the ice creams you want before ordering a full cup. The waffle cones are really tasty too. :)

The price is really reasonable for the amount of ice cream they give you. They also have a cool app on the iPad so you can pay with card if you aren't carrying cash.

I'm not sure if they do their karaoke thing at the actual storefront location like they do on the road, but if they do, that's always fun too!

I've had Treatbot at my sister's wedding for the first time and thought it was amazing. Came here to the store front over 5 times and have been slowly let down each and every time. They never have 408 or horchata!! I don't know why they just don't keep those on stock 24/7 because I don't really care for any of the other flavors. I just went today and they didn't even have cookies =(((((. Apparently they are "trying something new". Cookies will come back in January the employee told me?

They need a direct line to the truck so I can ask what they have or don't have ahead of time so I don't waste a trip out there. It sucks because there's no other cookie sandwich places around here. Compared to Diddy Riese (UCLA) and CREAM (Cal), I'd rather have those..they're half the price and usually don't run out of stuff. The cookies are warm there too! If you want their ice cream you can get horchata/408 (aka 50-50) at Marianne's Ice Cream in Santa Cruz and all the other flavors at Treat Ice Cream in San Jose ($5.50 for a tub!!).

I love that you no longer have to hunt down the Treatbot truck anymore since Treatbot Factory opened up. How perfect is that for those days when you just have to have a Horchata ice cream?!

All of the ice cream from Treatbot is creamy, flavorful, and delicious. They also have a variety of different and rather interesting flavors. I'm sure you'll find one to your liking. Just ask the nice people working for some samples of the flavors you want to try. Of course, it's rare that I'll stray from my usual Horchata though.

One gripe I had previously with the initial launch of the Treatbot truck was that the cookies for the ice cream sandwich were SO hard, but those rocks are no more! I'm extremely happy that the cookies are much softer now!

I would love to try the popsicles and sorbet next time, but I have a feeling that's not going to happen with my love for the Eastside Horchata...

It's a Treatbot Truck.  But it's all shiny and gold.  And it's permanently parked in the auxiliary building at the San Pedro Market thing.

Tried quite a few flavors, which re-affirmed our opinion that Treatbot is friendly and mobile, but falls a little short of gourmet ice cream.  It's good ice cream, but not as rich as some, and the flavorings are often too weak.

They have bars here - we tried rice pudding flavor.  Pretty good, though extremely solid in texture.  It has little chunks of rice in it - a nice touch.

A perfectly reasonably place for an ice cream break.  And friendly folks, as always!
