The wide variety of bras on the ceiling are collecting dust. The rather ample in length pink penis tie is right there saying 'buh-bye guys' on your way out.
It's a dive bar.
It's what you'd expect. It's dusty, basic, sturdy. Like it's survived a few things. A few things you're glad we were never there for.
As it should.
We like this place. We especially like Jimbo, the bartender. He's honest, personable (always has a smile) and has good taste in movies.
A decent place for a drinkie. No frills. No b.s. Just friendly and easy.
Hadn't been here in 20 years, but met some friends last minute for a drink. Â I miss the couches they used to have in the corner. Â The drinks were a very good price and very drinkable. Â The bartender was cool. Â She had to kick some people out, and didn't take any crap from anybody. Â Lots of drunk people that like to get involved with our conversation or start new conversations or ask to play football, pool, or whatnot. Â Upon leaving two cops were handcuffing a drunk guy and putting him into the squad car. Â Aw, I'm too old for all this excitement, and will continue my search for a neighborhood bar.
