Love the whole concept of farm to table, and was super excited to see Truck open up less than 2 minutes away from my house! Â Everything here is very fresh and delicious, and they have really great and interesting menu options. Â
To start, the chips and guacamole are great. Â The chips are homemade and are way better than any generic tortilla chip, and the guacamole and salsa were delicious as well. Â I also usually get the farm salad to start which is really good and I especially love the beets, since you usually don't find that in a mexican inspired restaurant. Â
For the main course, I don't think anyone in my family has ordered anything besides the tacos, but it is just because they are so delicious. Â I have gotten the chicken tinga, carne adovada, beef, and roast chicken & cheese, and the beef and roast chicken & cheese are my 2 favorites. Â The flavors are great and I love that you can mix and match. Â
Every time I have come here, it has been packed so you definitely need a reservation, and it generally has a lot of families so it tends to be pretty loud. Â But, the great food makes up for it, and it is my family's go-to restaurant in the Bedford/Mt Kisco area.
Interesting shabby-chic inspired  Mexican Restaurant nestled in the land of Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Martha Stewart and Richard Gere.) The restaurant is a stand alone building (at one point it was apparently a truck stop). The place has a beachy and rustic vibe; an all-white exterior, wide-slatted wooden floorboards and natural light pouring through many large windows. Drinks are served in Mason Jars (I know most consider it an overdone novelty but I  think it's cute.)
Lots of adorably attractive wealthy families; the place is definitely kid-friendly. The menu also features homemade desserts like Twinkies, Oreo's and coconut cake.
Portions are smallish. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Â The dressing was bland and unmemorable. They make a big deal about their house-made Habanero sauce which comes in a nondescript plastic squeezy bottle. It had hardly any taste and it was certainly not spicy.
Even though I wasn't crazy about the food, I love that they source their food from local farms; they even have a list on the menu. I love supporting businesses that are locally and ethically minded. I also like to know that the poultry or meat that I'm eating isn't tainted by antibiotics and hormones. I gave it an extra star for the effort to provide customers with healthy and sustainable food. I would definitely give this place another shot and order something other than a boring salad.

The food was pretty good, I felt that it lacked a little in flavor. The staff was very friendly, helpful with questions and their overall knowledge. The building was beautiful with a great rustic barn feel with a few modern touches. The prices were reasonable but the drinks were a little pricy. No dress code or expectations on what to wear but I would recommend at least a button down a polo.
I will have to return for a better assessment of the food.
Let me start by saying we didnt get to eat anything. Â We came it, asked for a table fo three. Â They were not crazy busy and we waited for the next available table. Â After 10 minutes they started walking us to the table which turned out to be a table for 2 now set for 3 people. Â I requested another table but they refused to put the 2 tables for 2 back together. Â Yes, back together as we watched as they originally separated the 4 top into 2 tables for 2...and tried to get us to sit on a table for 2 with three adults.
Funny, our first time there months ago was terrible, and we were coming back to give them another chance and they botched their second chance. Â Not likely that we give them a third chance. Â Read our first review on the food...which we had rated sup-par.
I had a really good dining experience at Truck the other Friday night. Â The food and experience was 5 star worthy, except the high prices keep me from going the full 5.
The place is very loud when full, I grabbed a spot in a small alcove area with a wall creating a little barrier from the main dining area and it really helped with the noise.
The decor is very cute. Â The bar is great. Â Maybe the best 4 beer taps- Negro Modelo, Ommegang, Lagunitas, and Capt Lawrence- top notch!! Â Despite the great beers I actually had a tasty and strong margarita.
My waitress was sweet and attentive, even though it was very busy.
The food was very good and I support the local farm to table movement. Â Started with a green salad with beets and a knockout dressing- olive oil with fresh squeezed lime- it was so good on the salad- a little siracha in that and now we're talking. Â Speaking of hot sauce, they have a very delicious homemade yellow hot sauce, which they warn is very hot, but I thought it was a great mix of heat and flavor.
My main was a pork burrito- lots of flavor. Â The portion was on the small side, but it satisfied. Â For the price if you are used to the much larger burritos that are often served at most mexcian joints then you might be taken aback, and if you have a teenager, they will be underwhelmed with the portion size.
I ended with a splurge- coconut cake. Â Ok, I am not a huge dessert fan. Â An extra slice of pizza will satisfy me more than a sweet ending, but this coconut cake might be one of the best cakes I have ever had. Â It was a simple looking, homemade cake, but the balance of taste, moistness (weird word), and coconut cream frosting was amazing!! Â I have been trying to find reasons why I should drive right by Club Fit and keep going to Bedford to grab another slice- see ya' ab roller!
Would have been two stars, but they are big on farm-to-table and accommodate vegans/wheat free well. Don't know why I ordered oysters at a Mexican restaurant. When I got them, I wondered why they were on the menu ... bland at best. Food was OK, not worth the $$$: $10 for a scoop of Guacamole! The margaritas would be better if they used Grand Marnier instead of the cheaper Triple-sec. The loud crowd on a Saturday night makes me believe that I am in a minority. I would not go back.
Review Source:Just got back from TRUCK. Â This was my second visit. Â I enjoyed the food, especially the pork and oyster tacos. Â There was something that bothered me. Â While dining, I could see the cashier. Â She was cleaning salad greens without any gloves. Â I saw her take two menus from a waitress, then proceed to keep picking at the greens. Â I told our waitress this was not sanitary. Â She went and spoke with the manager (who said nothing to the cashier who keep picking the greens). Â When leaving I spoke with the manager who told me "I saw her wash her hands, it's ok". Â Yikes!
Review Source:We stumbled into Truck as we passed by one Wednesday night because it had some good reviews on Yelp and we were very pleasantly surprised . Â All fresh and local ingredients; homemade tortilla chips; and excellent margaritas. Â The flautas were great and the Truck burger is my go-to entree. Â We've been back twice since and quality is consistent. Â Only issue was the Sunday night at 6:30 when the place appeared to fill up all at once and the kitchen couldn't really keep up. Â But the staff was pleasant and apologetic, so we'll be back! Â It's become one of our new favorites
Review Source:Truck is a real find. Â I consider myself somewhat of a foodie, and I'm new to the area. Â I found the staff welcoming and the food locally sourced. Â From the authentic atmosphere and refreshing margarita made with organic ingredients to handmade guacamole and chips, I enjoyed a delicious burrito special on a Sunday afternoon and finished the meal by sharing a scrumptious piece of chocolate cake. Â I can't wait to go back since I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
Review Source:I had been dying to try Truck since I first heard it opened a few months ago and thankfully I was not disappointed.
The food is sourced locally/organically, and the flavor really comes through. I love that they start their menu with a listing of the "Farms That Feed Us" -- which are all from New York and CT.
I joined a group of six for brunch on a Sunday and we shared a number of plates. It was really fun to taste a variety of different dishes, and all were beautiful and extremely tasty.
We started with a classic: the guac, salsa and chips. All were so fresh, delicious and authentic. I like my guac a little chunkier -- so you can really taste and feel the texture of the avacado -- and this is how it was served. Good start.
Next we sampled a number of egg/brunch dishes, including huevos rancheros (which is always a favorite of mine and they totally delivered), eggs with biscuit and bacon (the biscuit was to die for), and an egg burrito with bacon. The dishes were each so tasty that we ordered seconds of them all!
We also ordered some tacos to share. The highlight of the tacos were the taco shells themselves. They were not the typical, salty shells you usually get at Mexican restaurants. They were more textured and the flavor was so much more refined. You could really taste the ingredients, and it was a noticeable difference from the norm and much appreciated.
I wasn't drinking, but my friends ordered margaritas that they really enjoyed and then did a little tequila tasting. I must add that the beer selection on tap was also excellent -- Ommegang, Laginitas, Captain Lawrence and more. WIN!
I've read about people saying the service wasn't great, but our server that day was attentive while not being over-bearing, which is perfect in my book. And it's also not easy when serving a group that's sharing plates. But he was great.
I also loved the decor. Rustic, vintage, casual and oh-so Bedford.
I look forward to going back!
There aren't many options in the area that seem to get the modern food movement. Luckily, Truck has come to town. The chefs are clearly reverent of the locally sourced ingredients. The food and atmosphere spoke to our young family looking for a nice place to grab a quick and delicious meal. The design is stylish, with bold branding and lots of wood. Comfy farm feel and yet modern at the same time. The staff was friendly and attentive.
We brought our 2 year old with us, and got there at 5:40 pm - the place was about half full (and nearly all full when we left). I ordered a house margarita (Power Wagon) which was strong and tasty, and the chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty standard, but fresh and good. The chips were homemade and flakey - and a bit on the greasy side, but that didn't stop us from eating the whole basket. My husband ordered the farm salad and ate every bite of it.
For dinner, we each ordered three tacos - the chicken tinga, the beef and the pork. You can get all 3 of them for $13.50 from the a la carte menu, or you can order them in a combo and get rice and beans as well for $19.50. If you ordered the rice and beans from the side dish menu, it'd be about $7, so you are only saving $1 by going combo. We didn't think it was worth it - so we just ordered individually. All of the tacos are hard shelled and they were all very good. The pork was a bit saucy, and I found myself moving the other tacos around the plate so they wouldn't soak up the juices and muddle the flavors. The chicken tinga taco was my favorite of the three due to the fresh corn, with the pork a close second.
They didn't really have anything appropriate for children - which I thought was interesting since when we left the place was filled 80% with families. They adapted the cheese enchilada to not have any chilis and that substituted for a quesadilla. Our daughter was fine with that, and I was okay with her not getting any vegetables (or real nutrition) for one meal - but it would be nice if they could offer at least one thing that is kid-friendly.
Dessert - showcased in glass when you first walked in - looked like a total rip-off for the price, so we skipped it.
We'll definitely be back. Probably with a snack pack for our daughter of additional food, but we'll be there to enjoy it for us.
I liked the place for many reasons the main thing being the atmosphere and the sex appeal in an area that needs some oxygen.
Bedford Hills is home to a whole lot of money and not much to do so to see this cool, hip place emerge is a breath of fresh air.
The food was very good although a bit too "Americanized" for my taste. Everything needed more chilies and some cilantro- after all it is Mexican, right?
We had guacamole, chorizo and cheese dip, tacos and beans and rice. All done well but everything was a bit on the ho-hum side and just needed that pizazz of the ingredients I mentioned ( and some damn salt..).
Oh, and did I mention that this is the MOST expensive Mexican food I have ever found North of the border and for nothing gourmet but pretty standard Tex-Mex style items.
For the area, it's fine and will most likely make it since there is nothing around similar but the prices are out of control for the type of food served.
Service was ok, but a bit un-trained and young..
Expensive. Â
The food is just good; a little effort could bump it to better. Â A single hard shell taco on a plate for $4.50? Â Add a taste of refritos and a small mound of salad, charge a buck more and you'd have a solid starter (or small plate). Great carne adobada, though.
One scoop of rice (room temp) in a small dish as a side for $3.50? Â Dress it up a little for perceived value.
Chorizo with cheese? Â More of the first and less of the second, and put some cilantro and smoked paprika or cumin on it.
The enchiladas come flat, a 2 tortilla sandwich with a dab of crema and a pinch of microgreens. Â It's a gimmick. Â And expensive- Â $10 to $16 per.
The main problem is that it's a very friendly place that can't decide what it is- Â a taco truck or a striving Bedford restaurant.
But there is that Modelo on tap, and Capt. Lawrence too.
Negra Modelo on tap. Need I say more?
Okay, I'll say more. Solid, and by solid I mean smooth and strong, margaritas (AKA The Power Wagon). Other drinks on the menu looked good too, but unfortunately I had to drive home.
As for the food, it was great. A few misses, but the hits far out-weighed them. My recos, in order of awesome: Pork Taco, Veggie Taco, Oyster Taco. All three were excellent. Skip the Chicken and Beef. They were both bland by comparison.
The Farm salad was also good. A touch over-dressed, but still good. Mainly because it's all farm to table. So everything is fresh and local, and you can really taste it in every dish. Even down to the salsa, served with warm chips that taste like they're freshly made. So good!
And last but not least, we finished off with the Devil's Food Cake. Also a solid good. But the true stars of the menu were those three tacos.
Also worthy of note is the decor and vibe. It's rustic cool. Great energy. And more of a mature scene. Very few kids. And the ones who were there were teenagers.
The only real gripe we had would be the service. Pretty slow and pretty sloppy. Granted they just opened, so I'll cut them a little slack as they work out the kinks. But we will definitely go back. Only next time we will make a rezzy. Because this place was hopping. Full when we walked in at 7pm. Full when we left at 9pm.
Welcome Truck. You are an AWESOME addition to the area.
