Blind Charlie's Cafe

They are consistent I will say that.  A friend and I were visiting from the west coast and were taken there for lunch on my first visit there.  We may as well have been sitting on the patio of the restaurant next door.  The service was not only terrible but non existent.  The food was not good enough to make up for the lack of attention.  The second time she and I went for breakfast.  I immediately brought to the attention of the server that I had no utensils.  Once he made it back to take our order I again mentioned the missing utensils.  Well, about 15 minutes later they brought our food, still no utensils.  So I got up and took them from another table.  I'm sorry for the people who were seated at that table later.  OK, the last time we, again, went in for breakfast only sat at the counter.  Thinking now we could easily get the attention of someone if we needed anything.  This time the service was a bit better but the country potatoes were burned.

Very disappointing!  Been good in the past, but today, the only saving grace was sitting outside on a beautiful afternoon.

Three Blind Charlie Burgers, all ordered medium rare, only one was even close, the other two went back as dry and well done.  OK, errors happen.

The replacement burgers came out and were very juicy, but still medium -- not sure quite how they did it, but failing on five burgers at one time is pretty poor -- not exactly the most difficult dish to prepare!

They did bring out the replacements quickly, and with a  huge pile of onion rings, but even though they were right out of the fryer, they were very greasy.

Sad.  Its always been a nice spot.

You can't go wrong at Blind Charlies... Food is really good, great omlettes, kids love the grilled cheese and fries.. They also make great wraps... Very consistent, fresh and friendly
