Decided to come here because I heard they had good wings and I had a coupon for <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FLivingsocial.com&s=7775afab5cd705c2dff1c66875ea6b83063bc94dbe8049ecb22aad5cb6614dc3" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://Livingsocial.com</a>.
The food was good...
(I was in a group of four so we order a couple of things to try)
*Spicy Calamari- ok but not spicy at all.
*Potato Peel- ok but needed more bacon
*Chilli Cheese Fries- good but chilli could have been a lil spicier.
*Buffalo Wings- great! best thing that we order.
*Hot Oil Pizza- very good I didn't taste this but my friends said it was very good.
So overall Food gets 3 stars
Service was also great. Â Staff is very friendly. Â So overall also 3 stars.
The reason I have it 2 stars is because the owner came up to the bartender who was serving me my snifters of Hennessy and told her she was serving me to much. Â Then he took my snifter back and took back half the Congac in the glass. Â Worse customer experience!!!
I wish I could meet Vinny, and give him a hug, and thank him for opening his backyard to the public to serve good food, good beer, and a great atmosphere.
I must admit, the whole 'bar in a strip mall' thing was an initial turn off. Â But, like my momma taught me, you should never judge a person, or a bar, by its exterior. Â And, as always, she was so right. Â I've spent a few afternoons at the bar, for lunch, which turned into a longer afternoon. Â The food is surprisingly good - my go-to has been the BBQ Chicken Salad - it's fresh, and the basil with the lettuce adds a bit of unique flavor. Â Nachos are also tasty, and the pizza with the very thin crust is the best. Â It's very easy to eat an entire pizza yourself.
The bartenders are always friendly, and very non-intrusive. Â Anytime we push our beer glasses up, it's quickly refilled, and refilled, and refilled.
Will be back, probably many times. Â And will definitely not turn away from a bar in strip mall again.
