Ten Twenty Post Oyster Bar & Bistro

I don't know why people think this is a good place. Its loud lime a cafeteria and the food is well below average. the service is lacking as well.The bread was stale and hard. We had fried clams for an appetizer. All I could taste was the breading and there was so much sauce on top that it overpowered even the taste of the breading. I had seared tuna which was cold on the inside and was quite rubbery with mashed potatoes that tasted like they were made from powdered flakes. The green beans were ok but were quite undercooked. My friend had haddock with salsa verde which tasted ok but for $30 per plate I expect better food. I will not be going back and will recommend you stay away as well.

I didn't even know this place existed until I was invited here, but my first experience was fantastic. Order the salmon sandwich with lettuce, tomato and avocado on black bread. It's delicious and very nicely presented. I'm not sure how frequently they have it, but the German chocolate cake is unbelievable. Very nice ambiance, and our server was animated and funny. Definitely a new fan!

I have eaten here dozens of times and always been thrilled with the high quality of the food and the warmth of the service. One of my go to places in Darien. Sure it's noisy, but it's a bistro and that's part of the atmosphere and the food is worth it!
