This is a gem. There is nothing else like this in Greenwich and it's surrounding areas. Perfect location for great food. If you like Interior design, this is even more so a place for you.

It has just been renovated so it is so much more enjoyable. The owners have great chic taste. Anything from the soups, finger sandwiches, or some scones are delectable treats. If you're ever in Cos Cob, CT and find yourself wandering around, take a step off the post road and have some tea :)

Fantastic!  This is my favorite hidden little gem in all of Greenwich.  Delicious coffee, teas, scones, sandwiches, etc .  Every time I stop by, my mood is instantly enhanced; there is always a sweet smell in the air, inviting you in to enjoy the warm and welcoming vibes.   Most recently, I came by and discovered they had converted the boutique space into a gallery (the boutique is now adjacent on the Post Road.) This was such a great idea.  They gallery adds to the cool ambiance of the café and is exactly what Cos Cob needed (not another bank!)  Recommendations:  Chicken salad sandwich, the daily soups and the ginger/green/citrus tea is amazing.

My husband and I treat ourselves to lunch at The Drawing Room every week.  I have to say it is definitely an indulgence.  The food is absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and made to order, so you should not eat here if you are in a hurry, it takes time to make food this good.  The chef, Angus, really knows what he is doing.  But with choices like Croque Monsier, Croque Madam, gourmet grilled cheese with heirloom tomatoes (all on grilled brioche), gourmet quality turkey with all kinds of fancy ingredients, quiches, etc. you are in high calorie, high fat, high carb heaven.  But it is so worth it!  Mind you, you can get salads and healthy soups (which are surprisingly good), but the scones and huge dessert selection are too hard to pass up.  You can also get traditional high tea, with finger sandwiches, and scones, and pastry. We have never had a bad meal here.

As I said we've been coming here on a weekly basis for a long time.  We've gotten to know the servers by name and I have nothing but good things to say about them all. Hannah and Joe are very pleasant and efficient, but Kim is outstanding.  She goes so far above and beyond the call of duty that my husband and I have nicknamed her "Kimpossible," because everything is possible with Kim.  No, we are not her personal friends, it is just that she never fails to impress and she has managed to produce our favorite scones even when they were sold out (I think she has a secret stash somewhere).  Whatever the servers are getting paid, it should be more because they make a good dining experience great.

Drawbacks:  1. The place is small and if you come at the wrong time you may have a long wait for a table. 2. The Drawing Room is not open for dinner, and I think that is a big mistake, a lot of people cannot come for lunch, even on weekends. 3. They were forced by the town of Greenwich to stop table service on their beautiful patio, so if you want to eat outside you must place an order to go and bring it out there yourself. 4. They take credit cards, but not American Express.
