The menu offers a selection of food from burgers to burritos. Anything you could probably want. I had gone there already knowing I was going to order a burger. They had a en feugo burger challenge, which was two 1/2 burgers with pepper jack cheese topped with pickled jalapenos and a jalapeno Tabasco sauce. I also had some waffle fries on the side. If you clean your plate, you get a t-shirt. I cleaned the plate without much trouble because the burger was perfectly cooked and delicious, the fattiness of the cheese went really well with the spicy pickled peppers. It was so good. I will be going there in the future. I highly recommend the burgers. The staff was also extremely nice and attentive.

On a side note when I was here I was sitting at the bar on a Monday evening. THen this dude rolls in and he's rockin' some gold teeth. Does he order a beer? no. A cocktail? no Some tacos? no ... THe dude orders the biggest ice cream sundae and eats the whole thing.
Who goes to a tex mex joint, sits at the bar, and only orders an ice cream sundae. Judging by his gold teeth I'm assuming he has one incredible sweet tooth... lol.. Ladies and Gentlement... I give you springfield ohio...
Tex-Mex is usually a mixed bag. You're never sure what you're going to get and many times its bad. However, I am shocked to say, Tumbleweed's was pretty good. What I enjoyed most was our waiter who was funny, attentive and helpful.
The menu is huge lots of choices from fajitas, enchiladas and tacos to burgers, steak and pulled pork.
I opted for the make-your-own nachos. I loaded them up with most of the 8+ choices (black bean, corn relish, cilantro, onion, jalapeno, pico de gallo, etc) they had to offer and spicy beef. I did choose to have the liquidy queso on the side and had them add shredded cheese to the top to be more like traditional nachos. I did have to send them back because they forgot the meat and to melt the cheese but once returned they were good.
My friend choose the pulled pork sandwich and baked potato. The sandwich was large and really good. They had three or so sauces to choose from and she went for sweet and mild. It was a great sandwich.
As many have mentioned the free-flowing chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were crisp, fresh and yummy. The salsa was runny but flavorful. It might come from a can, but it wasn't the worst I've ever had.
They had lots of drink specials. This would be a great place with a group.
If ever in the area again I would go.
The patio is a decent seating area for a larger party. Was recently there for our sister's b day party. 12 people total was there . Our service was very slow but the food was very tasty. The cold beers and the mixed drinks where served faster than food . Lol. Over all we all had a great time ! That's why we all made plans to come again! Springfield does try to make it rite!
Review Source:Food was great but service was TERRIBLE!!! There were only a few tables but it took forever for everything to come out. Duke is great! But the bartender wasn't a very impressive waitress. Asked twice for ketchup, asked twice for napkins, Im about to ask the second time for a box. This isn't 6:00 on a Friday it's 12:30 on a thursday afternoon. If they don't improve quickly there may be another vacant restaurant on West First St.
