Overpriced and burnt!  Jerry Turner has forgotten what made this business successful when he started.  This was so bad we might as well had pizza at Chuckie Cheese's or CiCi's (at half the price).

Pizza is always quality when eating in at Turoni's. Highly recommend the Pepper Planet pizza. Beer is always ice cold and served in a frosted mug/pitcher. Definitely one of the better pizza places I have been to and will consistently visit.

I'm not a big fan of the cracker crust style of pizzas.  However, this is one of the better ones.  They have good toppings and great beer to go along with it.  I'd like to see them bring back the toasted ham sub sandwich that they had years ago.  It made a good beer & sandwich lunch or late night snack.  I don't know why they don't sell hot wings either.  It would go great with the pizza.

Whenever I'm in Evansville, I always make it a point to hit Turoni's.  It's a real gem of a joint in a city that is pretty devoid of good, locally-owned restaurants.

The menu is limited to a vast array of pizzas and a few sandwiches, which is a good thing.   They have obviously focused their efforts in creating a great pizza.  As an added bonus, everything is very inexpensive.

The building itself is also pretty cool.  It's very dark and woody inside and there's a decent sized patio facing Weinbach that isn't too bad.

While Turoni's may not be my favourite place to eat in Evansville or even my favourite pizza place, I still enjoy the occasional visit.  I do enjoy their beers... in fact, not a fan of the dark ales, but the Ol' 23 Stout is really good.  If you like coffee, this has a hint of that, but not heavy like others.

The garlic cheese toast is nice to start with.  The Stromboli is ok, although it can get really messy and the bread tends to get pretty soggy.  Pizza is what Turoni's is known for, but I'm not really a fan of the thin crust and wish that they would offer a thick crust option.  The Greek pizza is my favourite by far.  The nice thing about Turoni's is if you are doing a group meal, they have the giant 29" pizza.

I haven't been overwhelmed by their customer service.  I did try their pick up service once and that was ok, although the lane for the cars is slightly awkward, although so is the parking lot anyway.  If you don't call ahead, beware that you may end up waiting for quite some time on a busy night.  There is seating in the bar area, but you have to be 21 and over in order to sit there.

Overall, not a bad place to stop into.

One of my top 5 places to eat.  I look forward to every trip.  The pizza is great and the beer, in my humble opinion, is top shelf.  I also love the ambiance of the eclectic posters and all of the woodwork.  Drinking here just feels right.

I just finished a Buffalo Chicken pizza with an ice cold Honey Blonde.
Fantastic.  The Buffalo Chicken doesn't pull any punches.  Unless you just like the punishment, keep some Ranch and a few beers handy.
Make sure to bring a friend or two, trips here go better with some buddies and a pitcher.
My only complaint is that there is no way to fit this much beer into a single trip.

Dined here on a Thursday evening and the pizza was delicious.  I'm typically not a fan of thin crust pizza, but this was great.  Their seasonal beer was excellent, and the service was top notch.  In closing, if you find yourself in Evansville, Indiana there are two things you need to do.  The first is watch your speed on 164 as the Vanderburg County prosecuter loves to take out of state dollars and the second is eat at this establishment.  If you follow my two simple rules, you will at least be able to say you were able to go to Evansville, Indiana and not give your money to anyone who did not deserve it.  I do not always go to Evansville, Indiana; but when I do, I eat at Turoni's...

Ok, I truly don't understand this whole cracker crust phenomenon in this town. This is NOT how pizza should be! That said, Turoni's serves up one of the worst around. I've visited on several (maybe 1/2 dozen) occasions based on locals rave reviews and have yet to eat anything worthwhile. While the service is typically adequate, atmosphere generally clean & warm, I have to say I've given up trying to find something appealing on their menu. After one more attempt, we ordered some sort of pizza that had pickles on it. WTH?? Never again. I guess living in the Midwest means no more pizza for me.

In my opinion, among the best pizza I have ever had.  The thin crust pizza is my favorite.  The crust stays crisp and the toppings always seem fresh.  It is also a microbrew.

Best thin-crust pizza I've had since moving to Evansville. Wide variety of toppings, great casual atmosphere, lots of charm and charact

Every year at a minimum we make a trek from North Carolina to Kansas to visit my family.   Most often over Christmas but also sometimes in the summer.

We discovered this place (and its sister location) because my kids are picky as heck and 'pizza' is an easy win.   Not wanting to do the usual chain place as most are delivery only these days we looked up pizza in the phone book and found this place.

Since about 2006 we now make this part of the tradition of the drive to Kansas.   I'm a big fan of pizza done right or done uniquely, and Turoni's has a unique style.

They have an extremely thin crust.   Some would say 'cracker' except it's not dried out like a cracker.  It's crisp and thin, but the center retains a bit of chewiness that I like a lot.   They have several specialty pizzas and we tend to go with the 'all meat' one for my wife and I while the kids do their traditional half cheese/half pepperoni.

We've been to both locations now, usually we went to the other one but I got turned around and found this one first so we tried it.  This one has more room/parking than the other location but the food was just as good.

I love this place! Their pizza is great! Their service is great! I live in the Chicago area now, but when I am in Evansville, I always make a point to stop at Turoni's. The only downside to Turoni's is their beer. They have a few decent ones, but they could be better. I am a bit of a beer snob, so if you are no frills kind of beer drinker, then they will probably be just fine. In summary, go for the pizza and try a beer and support your local prew pub!

Great pizza. Thin crisp crust. Fresh veggies baked on top of the cheese. Plenty of meat. Charred spots on the cheese. I have never had a better pizza than Turonis'.

    Great pizza restaurant!
I really like the setting; atmosphere here; they have the large tables and wood banquets that make them great for a family or friends outing. Great beer selections by the glass, bottle of pitcher...

Pizzas are thin crust and very tasty; they have different sizes that can fulfill anyone appetite but the best part of all this are the prices; so cheap that you may want to come here every night!!!

The pizza is outstanding!  Love the micro-brews too, particularly the Thunderbolt Red.  The only issues I've experienced at the Weinbach location are with being seated, particularly with parties of more than 4.  Hosts and Hostesses seem to lack a sense of urgency and aren't very efficient.   A stronger management presence in the dining room area would improve the experience.

Alright I know i'm going against the group here but i'm only going 3.5 stars. I really don't see the big deal. The pizza is good but nothing great. The crust is very unique, it's thin and almost like a water cracker. I did enjoy the beers pretty well (go for the sampler and try them all unless you don't like different beers like IPA's, etc) We had a hawaiian and essentially a supreme. Both were good, just not anything that really did it for me.

I am going to agree with Shaun D. on the beer selection. My main concern is that aside from their seasonal brews, Turoni's is not coming out with anything new. This is not a complaint about the quality of the food (which is excellent) or the smiles on their servers (which never go away). I made it through all of their beers and "forgot" to go back. I will say it again, "The food alone is worth the trip." I give my biggest criticism to the micro-brew. The beers have won some awards because they are good beers that appeal to a lot of people. However, I wish that Turoni's would try a cask ale, a funky lambic, or something that starts with IMPERIAL. We all know that they can make good beer. I hope in the future that they will test their skills and do something innovative or extreme that  not everyone will like. Given that micro-brews are becoming somewhat of an epidemic, the ones that are worth mentioning leave an impression. I hope that someday I can say, "Turoni's beers are good, but their new lambic had Bootsy Collins seeing around corners, funky goodness."  I will be waiting.

I've lived away from Evansville for the past 8 years. There has not been ONE place I've come across that tastes as good as Turoni's pizza. I love, love, love it. SO much in fact that I made it a part of my itenerary when I went back last year.

    Delicious.

don't hate me, turoni's.  to be fair, thin crust isn't really my preference . . . too much like pizza-on-a-cracker.  that said, bazbeaux in indy would still win in a contest between the two.  and the only reason i think they would win would be for cleanliness of the establishment and their spinach salads.

i almost prefer the downtown location, again for cleanliness.  but service is always above par, decent beer, good appetizers, and the general atmoshere will always make it feel like home.

The old adage, "you don't know what you're missing...until you can't find it..." holds true for this place.  I had always taken Turoni's for granted...I guess because my child and ex wanted it EVERY Friday night!?   However, now that I've not had it in awhile, I realize this is darn good pizza!  I now live in Chicago and I've tried several "thin crust" pizzas...none come close to Turoni's fresh, delectable pizza.  Sigh.

OK - so I left evansville 6 years ago.  Everytime I visit I have to have turoni's.  I can't tell you the number of times my mom has iether had the pizza in the car when she picked me up at Evansville-Dress Regional Airport or when we've stopped there on the way.  I cannot set foot in Evansville without sharing a Medium House Special, no onions or olives with pineapple and brownsugar (don't knock it till you try it) with my mom.

She lives in Chicago now.  We both miss Turoni's   Sigh.
