The hubs and I had been looking for a place to throw back a few good brews and chow on some decent, non-So. IN fare...Turoni's hit the spot! Â I adored the ambiance of this place. Â For those of you that have not been, there are what seem to be 2 separate entrances that are connected. Â One side seems more family friendly with larger tables and lots of kids to be seen; the other is the deep mahogany bar area with more eating space and not many kids to be seen. Â Nice set up!
We sat at the bar only because the place was packed and we were a bit short on time but the service was great and we were able to watch some games on their several flat screens. Â Turoni's has a great beer selection along with a full bar and bartenders that actually know how to mix a drink. Â We didn't get much other than appetizers, so I cannot speak to the quality of their main course meals, but what we did get was delicious and there was no meat or potato to be seen!
If I lived in EVV this would become a staple. Â Great place!
I accidentally walked into the bar and forgot that most states still allow smoking in the bars. The other side is the family seating. I don't think we are allowed into the brewery but you can see it from the outside!
The place is dimly lit with older benches and tables and decors. Service is good and so are the prices. I ordered Vinny's Lager which is basically a Pilsner. The Iron Man was great. Pizza sauce with garlic, spinach, mozzarella cheese, artichoke hearts & mushrooms. mmmm mm. They have small, medium, and large sizes. There are also sandwiches and salads. A kiddy menu is also available.
