We arrived after the big dinner rush.  If you're out of clam chowder, fine.  Just tell me, and we'll order something else.  Do NOT pour some milk in the bottom of the pot and scrape out two bowls.  And if you do decide to use this method, at least warm it up for us.

I can't rate what the chowder was like a couple of hours before we arrived, but the slop they dished out for us was disgraceful.  The bread tasted like fish, so maybe they thought that it would divert attention away from the "chowder".  Wrong!

We'll have drinks only on the deck when the weather is warm (maybe), but will not order any food here.  Terrible.

Awful food. Overcooked baked potato that had turned grey. Friend had mashed potato that was like water. Clam cakes that had never seen clams. Topped off by an extremely rude waitress who at the top of her voice 'chatted' to the barman about how happy she was it was time to lock up and go home! It was only 1015pm on a Friday night. Will definitely not be back here - even though I live across the road.

Shrimp cocktail: small, overcooked and no horseradish with cocktail sauce...not work $3.25 each!
    Clam roll: again overcooked.
Sweet potato fries: limp and cold
    Lobster roll: lobster dry(overcooked again)
Paper plates and plastic cups: lame, even for an outdoor deck.

Disappointing meal for such a gorgeous environment.
Not a surprise that there were only 15 customers there on a warm Friday evening.

Go here for the atmosphere. For the view, the music, the people but don't come here expecting good food, drink or service. Go elsewhere.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a nice hangout by the water in EG with decent food, drink and service. Service here was miserable. Food was overpriced and blah. And the cigarette smoke on the back deck was unbearable.

Service didn't get much better when we walked next door to Nautika. Next time, I'll start at Harbourside...

On narrow Greenwich Cove -- bright in the late afternoon sun, water black and placid, the lush greenery  of Goddard Park just opposite -- we sit at our table on the deck and watch boats of all sizes scudding back and forth from their moorings. It is early, and the band is just heating up, sounding more like an echo, seated as we are well away from the action.  Folks are happy, and shortly, in mini-shorts and tank top, our amiable and knowledgable server is taking orders.

The menu is fairly standard seaside fare, though options are available for landlubbers.  Three of us settle on lobster salad -- one in a bun with fries, the other two surrounded on a large platter by crispy fresh vegetables on a  bed of mesclun.  In both instances the lobster is generous and speaks clearly for itself in a light mayonnaise dressing:  fresh, flavorful, generously sized.  Our fourth member chose an Asian salad and, while lauding the freshness of the greens, lamented the absence of Asian touches beyond chow-mein noodles.

We finished with tea and iced coffee and a wonderful wedge of dense blueberry pie a la mode.

All in  all a satisfying experience: good view and a cheerful ambiance with helpful service -- and all that tasty lobster!

I'm a fan of the view!! The food not so much, unless we are talking Lobster Rolls - These are the real McCoy! There's nothing better than having lunch on the water and lobster-salad stuffed in a buttered hot dog roll. And trust me - you will pay for it! Not cheap, but it has become a yearly spring event with me and my friends. If there are big eaters in your group you will want to order several apps, "stuffies and chowder get a B+ in my book.

I would normally give 20 Water St. 3 stars, but they get a 4th star for the fact that my boyfriend and I can sit by water and dream about the yacht that we will sail around the world in one day. :0) The food is decent and the service is friendly. It's a local favorite!

Mac and cheese, club burger, fries, and a Smithwick's.   Pretty darn good.

Great for drinks by the water on a hot summer's night.  Food is below mediocre.

Same kitchen as Twenty Water Street, 1/2 the price...great spot to sit out by the boats and enjoy what may be some of the best white chowder in Rhody...something for everybody...but beware of the gulls!

This is the spot to be in the summer sitting right on the bay at a marina in a very popular location. If you catch this on an off weekend, it is better since on weekends it gets packed with college kids once they turn the place into a trendy club. The place has decent food and even has waitresses that will bring food to your boat at the marina. The menu is a lot of sandwiches and different lunch selections. I have never been here for dinner so I dont know about that, but lunch was good and the service was good as well. I recommend you check this place out.
