    So,

The original plan was to go to O' Charley's, but since they had an hour wait time, my date and I figured we would try out Chicago's Bar and Grill. This set off a series of mistakes that I hope to never make again.

So, first things first, the wait time was very reasonable. This was the day after Valentine's day, so I expected it to be a bit more crowded, but we were seated within about 5 minutes or less. That was a positive at the time, but in hindsight it's a bit of a warning sign. Anyways, we sit down and we wait for...something. Bread. Chips.  Anyways...Why is there nothing to munch on?

Ok, well that's moderately annoying, but these things happen. So, we order our food. She gets a steak, and I get the burger. (I was going to get a steak as well, but wow it was kinda pricy). I ordered mine medium well, it came to me fresh from the slaughterhouse....red and juicy. Sent it back, they fixed it, problem solved. Her food came as directed, but it was just bland and tasteless. It honestly had no flavor that popped out at either one of us. The burger was the same way, nothing but blandness.

So, we're annoyed by now. Our salads were fine, everything else was terrible. I wanted to at least salvage some of this disaster of a meal, so I decided to get desert. There was this Deep Dish Sundae that just sounded (and looked...on the menu) amazing, so we decided to try that!

It arrives and is just terrible. Tasted like frozen dough you can get at any store, dribbled with almost no chocolate, mixed with an unpalatable cookie. We asked them to please change it for something else. SO, after all the disappointment, we get the "The Granny Smith All American " and it's actually pretty good! I think at that point I would have been happy with almost anything that had SOME sort of taste, so I was happy with it.

The overall experience, atmosphere, and service was terribly low. We won't be back

I have lived on the south side of Indianapolis my entire life and have eaten at this UNOs several times.. And normally my experience is great. However, the service I experienced on Friday January 25 was terrible. We were a party of 4. My mom and husband both enjoyed their meals (pasta and steak and shrimp). However, my dad and I got the short end of the stick tonight. The evening began by our waitress taking 15 minutes to even acknowledge we were at the table. Ok- no big deal. It's Friday and they were busy. We ordered our food and I'm going to be honest- I am a picky eater. I ordered a deep dish pizza but With special requests due to the fact that I am picky. My dad ordered a special order deep dish as well. I had a feeling after the waitress took our order the it wasnt going to be right. Sure enough, when they brought our food almost 30 minutes later, both our pizzas were wrong.
The food runner who brought our food out was great and said she would send the manager right out. It took him almost 10 minutes to come to our table and then when he did get there- instead of simply apologizing and letting us know that our pizzas were being remade- he decided to argue with us. He told my dad that his pizza was in fact what he ordered. Not A good way to handle a customer complaint. About 15 minutes later- after the rest of our table finished eating, the manager brought out our pizzas. He served them to us- they were right this time. He informed us that he was taking them off or bill (which was good). But- my crust was not fully cooked. When I said something to the manager, he looked at me and said, and I quote, 'that's impossible. Our dough is done before we put it in the oven.' are you kidding me? I worked in pizza for 3 years and you can't tell me at your dough is done before you ever put it in the oven. Then he decided to tell me that the cheese must have soaked into the dough and that's what made it gooey. And then he proceeded to stand and stare and me and then just walked away.
As we were leaving- the table behind us was complaining to him about their crust on their pizza not being fully cooked and he told them the exact same excuse he told me.
The thing is- we had issues with our food and the service. I work in the hospitality industry. People have issues all the time. But it all depends on how the situation is handled and how he manager handles himself. Normally, I wouldnt even write a review, but I felt it necessary this time. And every other experience I have had at this UNOs has between great and their food is normally fantastic.  I don't know if kitchen was having an off night or what, but the manager may want to take a step back and evaluate his customer service skills.
