So yeap, definitely saw the episode of Restaurant Impossible where they came in to the Valley Inn and fixed it up. Â Pretty much had to go in and give it a try seeing as its only 5 minutes from my house, plus I can now say "hey, I stopped in that place that was on TV..." like it somehow makes me a big deal. Â Anyway, I never tried Valley Inn before it was on the show and went through the remodel, so I can't say if its a major improvement or not. Â It's not bad inside, seems clean, and the remodel seems to have made it a little more modern. Â We were seated right away, and the wait staff was very nice and helpful. Â One of the first things we tried were the Onion Rings with Spicy Ketchup. Â This was featured on the show, so we had to give it a try. Â The onion rings were really good and flavorful, and the spicy ketchup is the perfect compliment to them. Â These onion rings are a classic case of less is more. Â They are very simple shoestring onion rights, fried, seasoned, and served with the ketchup. Â Nothing fancy, but in this case, it works well. Â Next up was the main course, I tried the Fried Chicken since it is supposed to be one of the staples at Valley Inn. Â There is an option to order all white meat when you order the fried chicken dinner, which is what I ordered. Â What I got was 3 pretty huge chicken breasts, along with a side of pasta that came with it (you also have an option for fries or potato) Â The chicken was great, not dry at all, not super greasy, and seasoned really well. Â I couldn't even finish the chicken let alone the side of pasta, but I did try it just to see how it was. Â I'm finnicky with pasta, but this wasn't bad. Â Again nothing to fancy, which again works for the Valley Inn. Â I would definitely come back to the Valley Inn again. Â I will say, its more of an older crowd in here.
Review Source:I went here with my wife because I like the fried chicken and soup.
We had a coupon which we paid ten dollars for but they would not honor because we would not spend 40 dollars in food even thought  the coupon said you only had to spend 20 dollars in food.We spent 30 minutes talking to the waitress ,manager and finally the owner But received no satisfaction and left without ordering. They said they have had this problem before.
We told the owner we would not be back and she said she didn't care.
I guess she doesn't care care about her employees either because her waitress lost a good tip and she lost a customer who has eaten there many times.
According to some of the reviews here, this is not a place for upscale yuppies who expect to over pay for poor service and substandard food.
In my opinion, the food and the service is good and you can't beat the prices. Â You get decent portions and there's hardly ever a wait. Â Sure, the decor could stand to be updated but that's what gives this place character. Â This is your neighborhood watering hole, nothing more, nothing less. Â You don't have to pretend to be someone your're not cuz the patrons frankly don't give a rats azz. Â They are there to eat and drink!
