It's like being in someone's basement - and I mean that in a good way! Â Â I've only ever been here on a Saturday night for dancing with a group. Â It's always a good time. Â
The place is kind of a hole in the wall. Â Beer is $2 a bottle. Â Wine is $6 bucks for a goblet. Â You can't beat the prices. Â The crowd can be a bit rough looking in general - so it makes for some great peopel watching! Â Â Really though, it is an over 35 crowd, casual atmosphere, and great for dancing.
The DJ plays 70's to today's music. Â They play the old-school videos on the monitors. Â You can request songs and he'll usually play them. Â Â You can call ahead and reserve a table if you are going to have a crowd. Â You can bring your own food in if you are celebrating something.
It's always a good time. Â There really aren't many places on the Southside to dance at - and to avoid the 20 year olds. Â This is the place. Â Don't expect anything fancy inside - expect to have a good time!
Love this place! Â Best dive bar on the southside. Â
Drinks are cheap:) Â Dance floor is large and always full, but not crowded. Â
Crowd: Â You will find anyone and everyone here..various ages, ethnicities, etc. Â Love the diversity here. Â It is a place where EVERYONE is welcomed!
Music: Â 80's, 90's, 00's and some current too. Â Some line dancing, basically....here...anything goes. Â
Great place to celebrate birthdays. Â They have TV's throughout in which they post special announcements such as birthdays and play retro music videos throughout the night.
Seating: Â There are a lot of tables, but they go quick so get there early.
Great place!
Barcode attracts a very diverse crowd. It's great for people watching. Drinks are cheap. $2 domestic beers, $3 for imports, $6 mixed drinks. It's located in a strip mall which is kind of odd. Parking lot is small and street parking is tough when busy. About a quarter of the place is a dance floor. They have a DJ on weekends and play a nice mix of oldies and newer music. Â Servers are friendly and do a great job working the floor. There are also three bars so getting service is not a problem.
