Bars and restaurants need know that we have expectations based on your establishments name. We should have standards and minimum requirements in order for places to call themselves certain things. O'Connors Pub is a passable bar but far from a pub.
I go to a pub in the hope that I will get some food that says that it is from across the pond, be it Ireland or England, not here unfortunately. The menu has short and uninspired. Appetizers were the usual wings and potato skins and the entrees were burgers and sandwiches. There is nothing truly wrong with the food taste-wise or the prices but there is nothing to say this is a place to go out of your way for. My expectations may seem high but I want a menu to be a bit more that the menu given to Joe Pesci in 'My Cousin Vinny' consisting of 3 items... breakfast, lunch and dinner. I want fish and chips, shepherds pie or even corned beef and cabbage (I know its not authentic) to be the minimum of any pub.
If you live close and need a stout I will say they at least have Guinness but they tend to not double pour. When you feel like you are getting just above the least you give stars just above the least.
