Healthful Soul Food!!! Candied Sweets, Greens with smoked turkey, Turkey meatloaf, Beef Short-Ribs, cornbread, mac 'n cheese. Wooden Spoon is a little spot on 70th and Western that pledges to make healthful affordable homemade food for the community while also respecting individual dietary restrictions. Essie is the Owner and she and her son Lloyd make their food fresh every day. Essie is a phenomenal cook! Her portions are generous and her prices are more than reasonable. She also caters for business lunches and our company has used her in the past with a great reaction from our staff with prompt and piping-hot delivery.  Her cookies and cakes rock! Breakfast is good, cheap and made-to-order with scrambles,  grits, turley patties, etc.
