At one time, this place might have rated two whole stars. Maybe even three. As it is, I don't know how they are keeping the doors open, since there is almost no one in this place anymore.
Now, this place was never anything more than a dirty dive bar...but sometimes it was a busy, FUN dirty dive bar. The clientele was never first rate - kinda sketchy, really--but you never felt unsafe, and they had live music, loose women, and there was at least a possibility of a good time. I don't know what happened. I don't think they even have live music any more - and why would they? They don't advertise - it's like no one cares anymore, or they've just run out of gas.
I think a couple of years ago they tried to spice things up by hiring some strippers as bartenders - that was interesting, but didn't last long (they probably ended up stealing $) - I don't know what the play is now other than waiting until the lights get turned out. Too bad, service was always friendly - but in reality, going here was always like climbing into a dumpster to drink a beer - the place always smelled bad, but you could overlook it if there was a good time to be had. sadly, that no longer seems to be the case.
I guess the fact that the first review appears for this place as it lays on its deathbed says it all...
