I usually try to be fair, so I wish I could give this place 5 stars for food alone. However, the service was so poor, neither I nor my family will patronize this pizzeria again.
My family of five entered during a mildly busy lunch. We were told to "sit wherever you want, if you can find a place." There were no available tables as none of the tables were bussed. We eventually bussed our own table in order to sit. We then waited 20 minutes for drinks, and just got up to help ourselves to the buffet. I asked the possibly owner/white haired woman for drinks, her grandson, and even the owner/pizza chef before we were finally helped.
The white haired woman asked how our lunch was and we responded that "the food was good." She then loudly told other customers within our earshot that "SOME customers have complained about the service today" and when we got up to leave (after paying) she said "and there they go!"
My parents stopped going to the old location due to bad service and this woman's attitude. We gave the new location a shot, and while pleased with the food, the aggressive attitude isn't worth the visit.
It'll be drama free carry out from now on.
If you want to engage a Dubois Countian in a conversation, just ask, "Who has the best pizza?" Â Villa Pizzeria is always a contender in those conversations and for good reason. Â Today, November 8, Villa Pizzeria opened at its new location in Jasper, 124 Newton Street. Â This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. Â The ingredients were fresh, the new location has a ton of convenient parking, the staff is friendly and welcoming and the value for the money is good. Â I had their lunch pizza buffet, which is 11:00am to 2:00pm Tuesdays through Fridays. Â I look forward to returning soon for one of their delicious sounding sandwiches!
