    Not worth it.

I went here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I thought the gal that works here was really friendly. Wine was a little over priced, but where isn't it?

    *** 3 Stars...

A great place to start off the wine tasting trip. My friends and I came to Windsor for a little get away. It was great. We decided to check out downtown Windsor and it was also recommeneded to us by our resort to get some varities of wine. We arrived a little late, around 5-6p so most of the wineries were closed anyway. We got one of the wine flights, $10. It was great, the lady who helped us was very nice and knowledgable about the wine. We ended going through happy hour so she gave us some appetizers to snack on. We stayed there through till 9p and had a great time. Good start to our vacation.

Fine fine I get it you don't like my reviews but you can't stop me from writing more!! I just do not like the food, atmosphere, or wine selection. If you are calling your self a boutique winery change your wine list and go for really small local wineries. Don't buy stuff you can easily get at bottle barn for way less. I still do not like this place and I feel like people should know!!!!

This place is fantastic!  The food pairings are on par or better than my favorite local restaurants.  I have only tried a handful of the wines and all of them reds but they were fabulous as well.  I highly recommend the Sunday brunch, they offer several excellent food options as well as coffee and mimosas . . . yum!  If you go during the evening you have to try the mac and cheese (sounds casual but this might be the best dish I have ever eaten)!

The location is perfect, and offers an alternative to the pub across the street. Mellow atmosphere and excellent small plate foods! I will say, I wasn't super excited about the wines, they were good, but not amazing. I like the idea of small producers being showcased I just think I need to visit a couple more times. The 3 2oz pours for $10 was very reasonable to me.

I had been meaning to visit this new place in downtown Windsor- its the only place you can taste J Lynne's Pinot Noir...which is a great segue into the concept of this venue.

Its fairly new, and like many of the venues in downtown Windsor, struggles a bit for visibility, in my opinion. Windsor is too small for the businesses to survive on Windsor residents only, and needs to draw more from Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and Bay area visitors.

Anyway, I love the concept. Some of the wines they offer are from small wineries (chard I tasted made only 60 cases.) that have no tasting room.

There is also a noteworthy focus on reasonable price/glass....something that seems to be evaporating today, where decent choices under $10 are scarce....which is odd in these economic times, and availability of decent wines at moderate prices.

The whites ranged from $5-$9 a glass, and the reds from $5-$11. Taste any 3 for $10 is a great way to go. They are liberal with stemware, which wins big points too. (despise flights in teeny poor glasses.)

Inside is casual, comfy, well done,  and bodes well for the (about to launch) plans to be as much as casual stop for a glass or wine or a bite, as a place to simply taste. They also have a nice outside area. (yay, I will bring Flash!)

I hadn't realized this was more than just a tasting room, which to me hugely broadens the appeal, as I often steer clear of city tasting rooms.

The owners/proprietors Cathy and Bill, are very nice people, with a keen interest in making this business something people will enjoy. They nor the staff are wine geeks or sommeliers, so if you want a venue to have detailed discussions and debates, this isn't it. Its a place to enjoy a glass of wine (or choose from 3 microbrews) and soon, food/wine pairings. Nice, down to earth people, who appreciate wine, and our blessed Sonoma.

Cathy has started a new Windsor Winers Meetup group, and has been hosting Meetups to draw people. They are well done, and kudos to her for these efforts.

Today the food offerings are meager (but good) cheese plates, few simple things. But they are about to have a new chef, fairly well written up (forgot his name) that is going to fresh menus, and proper small plates to pair with the wines. Menus he had done previous places looked promising. I look forward to trying, and writing an update. (my new BLOG should be ready by then.) (where I will review/feature some of their wine/wineries as well.)

They are still working in the marketing front, getting a website going, and some other items, look forward to watching them evolve.

They stay open until late (10 some nights), making this a great place to just grab a glass of wine, and/or a nibble, and hang out.

Its a unique venue, and downtown Windsor needs patronage, stay tuned for updates, but support your local restaurants (and small wineries!)

    4.5 stars

    cheers!
