VINI Wine Bar

Love this place! It reminded me of a yogurt place where you get to pick your own wine through a dispensing machine! The ambience is relaxing since you don't have to wait for a server and can enjoy your wine while chatting with friends! The wine I tried which included Chaos Theory was smooth and filled with aromatic fragrances. Only thing I wish they had was a cheese tray dispensing machine and a chocolate candy dispensing machine! Add those two things and I'd be in heaven!

Since when did Davis get so cool?!

Here's the gist of this fabulous situation going on in Davis:  
*Load a card with money.
*Get a glass
*Go around and sample wine on your own - put glass under dispenser and push button (even a monkey could do this!).

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

That's right; you don't have to wait for someone to give you your next tasting pour. You don't have to pretend to be interested in the tannins and the 10 year aging blah blah blah, while the whole time you are really thinking, "I just want to drink this and I really don't care." You can taste as much as you want to shell out. You're in control!

Spend enough time there (me!) and they'll let you polish off the bottle as they change out the almost empty old one in the tasting dispenser thingy. This happened to me several times while I tasted, so I think I had tried each and every one of those wines by the time I left. I suggest you plan ahead when you come here and set-up a DD because being in control of wine certainly doesn't equal being in control of your ability to act like a fool!

Other perks include great and knowledgeable staff, beautiful ambiance, and tasty bites to pair with your wine.

They sure have a cool concept here that's worth checking out. Conclusion, if you happen to be in Cowtown, moooooove yourself on over to Vini!

PEOPLE, PEOPLE! Gather around!!! There's finally, finallyyy a WINE place to chill at in the small town of Davis! FINALLY! Forget going all the way to Napa and Sonoma... and pay pretty much $15-$25 for "set tastings," now, you can GET it here at VINI WINE BAR!

It's like LOVE AT A FIRST SIGHT! Here are the reasons why you should check it out:

(1) you get a little pay card and refill it

(2) go around and pick your own wine to taste

(3) very nice seating area

(4) bites of food

(5) jump around whenever you like... atmosphere is great!

**OVERALL: love at first sight... tasting in Davis! NOMS!
