Just to note, for those looking for "Vnuk's", it has been reopened for a while under the name of "The Blue Pig" (although you can still see "Vnuk's" on the side of the building). Â It is still a great, well-maintained, reasonably comfortable rock club with good sound and a nice selection of tap beers. Â it's awesome to see a place like this thriving for so long within a pleasant residential area without people pitching a fit about the noise and crowds.
Review Source:Dave Vnuk took a chance on my mediocre rock band so many years ago. Â We played his little corner bar that had been in his family for years. Â At that time the big rock club that Vnuk's would later become was probably just a dream of Dave's...but he made it happen. Â And he was always true to my bands through the years. Â No I wasn't always in the mood for the Metal bands that seemed to dominate the Vnuk's calendar but no matter what type of band was playing I knew I could stop in for a good time. Â Now it seems that Vnuk's might be closed for good. Â So I'm just taking this moment to remember the corner tap/rock palace that was home to many, many good memories. Â Not only for me. Â But for a lot of people from all over the world. Â Vnuk's Lounge may never open again but for me it will always be there standing tall in the heart of Cudahy. Â Rock on!
Review Source:I'm always up for a road trip for a concert and Vnuk's is my favorite venue away from Chicago. I've been there a dozen times for shows since it seems to be the one place in the Milwaukee area to book my favorite hair metal bands or the smaller metal acts I like. Dave, the owner is a super sweet guy and is always friendly. The bar staff is usually really nice as well. They have a great selection of beer at prices much cheaper than what you find in Chicago and I like the over all set up. It's a smaller place with a bar, a pool table, and a stage area. It looks like they have remodeled it fairly recently so it's not a dive by any means even though it could be considered a corner bar. Every time I go there I find myself saying, why is this not in Chicago! Â I LOVE VNUK'S!
