This is what Bay View is all about. I was skeptical at first as the last place was just ok, however the redo here was right on target. This place embodies the anti-chain establishment attitude and brings a genuine neighborly hipster flare with a righteous patio.
The bartenders are way cool and the craft cocktails are out of this world. I enjoy stopping here at the end of the night on my way home as its not a terrible walk if need be. I'm a hipster at heart and appreciate the eclectic nature of the vintage decor and antique apparel of the interior, both establishment and patrons.
This place adds the perfect dimension to Bay View and it feels like a warm welcome as your roll into the neighborhood.
Takes drinking to a whole new level.
The first time i went here, I was reading through the drink menu, and came across a drink with Fernet Branca in it. Â When the barkeep asked how things were going, and what he could make for us, i said "You had me at Fernet Branca." Â No didn't, but that would have been funny. Â probably not actually. Â But anyway, come here to explore your spirits and have your conventional thoughts on drinking challenged. Â
The staff is great. Â And i love their ice cubes! Â (not the staff's ice cubes, Boone & Crockett's ice cubes). Â they are big and square. Â gone are the days of trapezoid ice cubes.
