Sort of a dressed up bar. It's definitely a bar. But then there is a small seating area in the back, where serviceable bar food is served. I got the veggie burger. It was very fine. Gosh, as I write, I find myself wanting to be hard on this place, but I really can't find anything to hate on it other than it's just bar food. But it's quality, good, tasty bar food. My food wasn't greasy, much like you'd expect. The folks who work here are also friendly and good at their jobs. OH. Got it. Found a flaw. The tap selection could be better, with more local beers. I'm sorry, but MKE doesn't have to worry about having West Coast beers like Lagunitas on its tap. Don't get me wrong, Laguintas is an excellent beer, but that much props to MKE for not NEEDING to deign so far as to look west for their beers.
Review Source:My friend and I have the same affliction: Â We are both equal parts adventurous and indecisive. Â It's a rough combo. Â So while our attempts to select a place for Sunday brunch may have taken a good 30 minutes via instant messenger, our final pick was a great one. Â I do believe, friends, I have found Milwaukee's finest plate of Corned Beef Hash, which was recommended by our waitress. Â It was incredible, and was coupled with two eggs made to my liking, hashbrowns (also delicious), fresh fruit and toast of my choice - which for me, was a walk down memory lane with cinnamon sugar toast. Â My friend had the french toast, which she described as the best of her life. Â Now, this girl doesn't eat eggs, so I'm led to believe she's had a piece of french toast or two in her life. Â The french toast was coated with a delicious batter that included oatmeal. Â It was hearty and tasty. Â Of course the ambiance has all the old Milwaukee charm you could ask for, and I saw about 15 additional items on the menu that I'd like to try. Â I mean, come on people, there is an entire section of the menu entitled "Melty Goodness." Â How can I resist? Â I'll be back, I gar-on-tee it.
