I'm from Chi and so happy to discover this place with amazing brats and beer. We went here before the Paul McCartney concert on Tuesday and loved what we ordered. We sat outside which was hot, but pleasant enough. All the staff was friendly. Could tell this place has a great ambiance!! Honestly, a brat served on a pretzel roll, I cant complain!

I came here with the family for an afternoon lunch on the 4th of July and overall, we had a great time. We wanted to sit outside because the weather was perfect, but all the tables were taken so we had to settle for the inside. It was kinda dark, the longer booth table that we had was a little hard to sit on but it had that cool, pub feel to it making us feel like we could be in Germany or something. They had these mini hanging lights that gave us light over the table but it was kind of hard reading the menu. Anyways, the service was just okay, it took a while for the girl to come take our drink order and then our pretzel order until finally our actual meal so definitely come here for a relaxed atmosphere because no one is going to rush you out the door, that's for sure.

Now onto the important part. We had to get the giant pretzel, it was huge, the menu said $10 but we were charged $12 but either way, it's worth it. We shared it with 6 people and everyone got themselves a huge chunk. The cheese served with it is way better than the mustard. The mustard is on the tangy side, but it could use a little more honey in my opinion, the cheese was excellent and fatty, make sure to get extra of it. The beers they had on tap were good and cheap, so the family was happy with them. From the yelp pics and I mean the place is called a Brat House so we all got the brats. I got mine was just sour kraut and it was delicious, everyone else was a little more adventurous and did the roasted red peppers and the sauteed onions and even the spicy jalapeno spread. I have to say the brat itself was a little bland, but the sour kraut added the necessary tanginess to it, plus ketchup and mustard went a long way. It was also served on a pretzel roll but it wasn't as fresh as the actual giant pretzel.

Overall, the service was just alright, the pretzel rocked our world and the brats hit the spot but could have been a little more flavorful. Definitely a place worth checking out, but if the weather is great, sit outside.

Stopped in here one gloomy afternoon for lunch. The place has a dive bar feel, but in a good sense. I had the Italian Brat and beer cheese soup. Both were excellent! Very reasonably priced and friendly wait staff. I would definitely go back again.
