This place has been around for years as Henry's, and is now Walk Street Tavern. I've always had good experiences with the food and staff in this place. Reasonable prices on drinks. Decent local bar to visit, and has a nice outdoor seating area that is good during the summer time. The only downside to this place is that it attracts too many good-old-boy patrons who aren't really too welcoming of outsiders, which means minorities in many cases. I'm an Indian man who has lived here for over 20 years, and I went in there this past St. Patty's day, and was actually made to feel very unwelcome by some Irish patrons who weren't too keen on the fact that I seemed to fit the physical profile of what they deemed to be a Afghani terrorist, lol. The encounter was so stupid that i won't get into it, but the patronage in this place is definitely something you want to consider if you're a minority venturing out here for a night out.
Review Source:What is there to say other than mediocre food, mediocre service and no atmosphere!
We came in on a beautiful week night to eat outside.  After waiting a little while for a server to seat us in this near empty restaurant we were told that the outside area was closed  for a private party.
Sat down and ordered hamburgers. The burgers themselves were pretty good. Â The rolls were too big and a little stale and the fries that came with them were blah!
There is absolutely no reason to return to this once good local pub.
I invited a a dozen friends to listen to Richie Gray play, and celebrate my birthday. Â Even though we were only going for drinks I called ahead to see if they could hold a table and they happily agreed. Â When four of us arrived an hour earlier than expected to have dinner, the table was waiting for us, and the waitress came to ask if I was the person who called. Â Dinner was simple bar food. Â I had the sliced steak, my fiance had the burger, and our friends had the cheeseburger & philly cheesesteak wrap. Â We were all pleased with our meals, and especially with the warm and friendly waitress service. Â After dinner, Richie began to play, and slowly the place filled up. Â Throughout the evening I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, including the owner. Â I will definitely be going back again!!
Review Source:Wrote this on Henry's Inn site, but since this is the official name of the restaurant, I'm reposting it here:
Here comes my first one star rating. It all began when we entered the restaurant with no one to greet us. There were tons of people sitting at the bar and they all kind of just stared at us while we stood awkwardly for about 3 minutes. Finally I stopped a waitress and asked her if we were supposed to just sit down. She told us to sit anywhere. We took the first table we saw which was right near the bar. Warning: If you don't like loud restaurants, this place is not for you. It was very loud where we sat, but I expected as much from a pub restaurant on a Friday evening, and it didn't bother me much at all.
I got a salad and a burger and my boyfriend got wings and a burger. There were so many things wrong with our food. First of all, I ordered my burger medium well, my boyfriend medium rare, yet they both came out exactly the same: dry, crumbly, and overdone. They were almost inedible. There is nothing worse than a burger that you almost choke on when you swallow it!! Secondly, my boyfriend ordered sauteed onions which came out ten minutes after his burger did (he also had to remind the waitress twice for them). Finally, what kind of restaurant charges 50 cents per topping, including LETTUCE, TOMATO, RAW ONION??? I'm sorry but you're going to give me a crappy burger and then charge me .50 for a slice of ICEBERG lettuce??? I was appalled.
Our waitress was nice, but the service was SO SLOW. We had to remind her twice to bring out the sauteed onion that was forgotten, and we had to ask her again to bring my boyfriend his second beer that he ordered when she brought our plates of food out.
I had such a bad experience at this place. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place after the reviews it got on Yelp. Save your money (because trust me, this experience did not end with a small bill) and avoid this loud, crowded place with over-priced, lousy pub food and slower than slow service.
Formerly Henry's Inn. Â They just changed the name for now. Â The menu and atmosphere are exactly the same as Henry's. Â However, they have been approved to do major inside renovations so we will wait and see. Â The burgers, salads are the same. Â The sweet potato fries well done are always a hit. Â They have corona lights and a good selection of beers on tap. Â Local bands play on the weekends and they are fun and loud. Â The outdoor patio is huge and packed on the summer weekends. Â Great place for a fun night out.
